  1. WR or LT, WR or LT, DE, CB, DT, FS, OG.
  2. With the Dolphins bringing in a new coach and a source telling me that Cutler has the 2nd most power of anyone at Halas Hall combined with Briggs wanting a trade, a Marshall for Briggs swap + draft picks would make a lot of sense. Phillips and McCaskey both mentioned getting Cutler talent to work with about 8 times each after JA was fired. Not saying it will happen, but it isn't entirely impossible.
  3. What's your solution for that though? Nobody out there will be better than Briggs. No, I didn't mean just sign those 2 guys, but they'd be helpful. In an attempt you save money and steal from the Lions, Cliff Avril would be a nice addition.
  4. With how Hester ended the year, he wasn't a snub IMO.
  5. I know they're not names like Williams, Nicks, and Jackson, but how about bringing in 2 Bears from the past: Brendon Ayanbadejo (to replace Briggs) and Antonio Garay (who has turned into a solid DT)?
  6. Grubbs, Johnson, Davis, Orton, and Avril would be an unbelievable offseason. Mine (realistic): Brady Quinn, Antonio Garay, Brendon Ayanbadejo, Robert Mathis, and Vincent Jackson
  7. 5 days after I posted this in the "looking to next year" thread, this comes out. Told you so. I'm proving all of my doubters wrong (I kid, hence the green).
  8. Bell also has to prove he can stay healthy, which, it's hard to assess that right now since he's not gotten consistent carries in his career. At UCLA, he got hurt too much. But, if he can prove he can stay on the field as a #2 RB in the NFL, they have to keep him. Did anyone hear Lovie postgame yesterday? I'm paraphrasing, but it sounded like: "We like him. He's a good football player. His first carry at Soldier Field was a memorable one." SO WHY THE F*** WAS HE NOT ON THE FIELD FOR THE MOST PART SINCE THEN, DIPS***?
  9. What does Mike Shanahan have to do with Mike Martz and the Bears? Forte, IMO, is an elite back. He can catch better than most RB's, he's a very good blocker, he has solid burst, good vision, etc. He also has shown he's well liked and is a good teammate by not sitting out due to contractual issues. With that being said, I do agree. I don't want the Bears to pay him $9m/year for 5-6 years. If that happens, and in year #3 he gets hurt and that starts a trend of injuries for him, everyone will say "OMG ANGELO IS A F***ING IDIOT. HE F***ED THIS FRANCHISE BY GIVING A BACK IN HIS 5TH YEAR TONS OF MONEY. DOESN'T THAT IDIOT KNOW RB'S AREN'T GOOD AFTER THEIR 5TH YEAR?!? GO FIGURE! HE ALSO DRAFTED THAT INJURY RIDDLED COLUMBO TOO!"
  10. So, the Bears can pick 13th at the best or 20th at the worst, right?
  11. But, the Bears don't need that number of throws with a guy like Forte. Hell, even Bell is a better RB than Kevin Smith. Look, you know I agree with you that the OL sucks. My problem is this: the FO won't quit on any of these OL just yet, besides maybe Spencer at OG so he can be used primarily as a backup C and OG, and a SLIM chance on Webb if a great FA LT or rookie LT falls in their lap. Also, don't forget, maybe it's because the Bears DL sucks, but the OL the Packers sent out last night was absolutely horrendous, and the Bears got no pressure. If you surround Cutler with talent like the Packers have for Rodgers, the flaws of the OL don't show quite as much.
  12. I don't know how anyone can defend Bowman's performance. So the Bears are supposed to double team a WR on the goal line? Really? Rodgers would audible out or call a timeout, and spread them out with 4 WR's. Then what? Bowman would then be 1 on 1 again. As someone tweeted last night, Zack Bowman could've literally been set on fire and he wouldn't have suffered the burn he did by the hands of Rodgers, Nelson, and Jones.
  13. That's what I'm saying. Get him some WR's, one of which will hopefully be elite, and that can help the OL along. Didn't you just say sacks are only part of the picture?
  14. 1. Thank god this travesty of a season is 7 days from being over. 2. Is anyone going to begin to listen to me now when I say it's not even funny to make fun of JA always drafting DE's and DT's? They clearly need help there. Melton and Peppers are the only good players, and even they were MIA today. Toeaina and Idonije suck. 3. McCown was decent enough, I guess. Bell is a keeper IMO. 4. Williams played good today, but he'll be gone next year. I'm still on the fence with Sanzenbacher. Hester is a ST player who has looked like s*** lately (yes, I know he's hurt). 5. Bowman is horrible. For everyone who wanted Jennings out...happy now? Bowman stinks. Oh, and Major Wright has no instincts at all. I think Steltz can be a decent SS. Now, it's just up to the FO to find a FS, whether it's Conte or someone else. 6. The OL was decent today, especially in run blocking.
  15. Prior to today, they would've picked 18th. However, there were some teams ahead of them that won in week 16, like Cincinnati, Seattle, and Tennessee. I would guess the Bears will pick 13th in the draft. Just a hunch.
  16. Put it this way: the Lions OL is as good (or as bad) as the Bears is. So, would Stafford be good without his elite WR (Johnson), good WR (Burleson), decent WR (Young), and good TE (Pettigrew)? No. Therefore, if you surround your QB will great skill guys, the OL doesn't seem as bad.
  17. What I will tell you all is that I have truly not heard any names in regards to who he'd like. However, I remember reading on the Bears website back in October a quote from JA that he thinks the current Bears WR's have "reached their plateau." That tells me he might be going out and signing a big time WR. BTW, I heard this a week ago, so my last Bears predicted offseason is off and my next one will be more accurate. Yes, I would also like Clabo or Nicks. Then again, Carimi was drafted to be a RT. I'd rather they signed Nicks and drafted Reiff or Martin for LT. Reiff-Williams-Garza-Nicks-Carimi is a damn good OL on paper if they all stay healthy.
  18. FWIW, I'm not going to reveal my source, but my sources are usually right, and I'm hearing that if JA is back, he's going to spend even more money than he did when he signed Taylor, Peppers, and Manumaleuna. Granted, there's no telling if he'll spend it more wisely. If this happened, would it actually be horrendous? Kellen Davis has no upside, their DT's stink, and Briggs' will likely demand a trade, so OLB will be a need. Obviously, I wouldn't be happy if this did happen, but let's not act like a real TE, DT, and a young LB is a bad thing. Add in the fact that it looks like Hester will be moved primarily to ST and the fact that Sanzenbacher is garbage...yeah... No way on Blackmon. What about Vincent Jackson via FA? And DT. Not bad. I wouldn't mind that route. They could even go DE or DT in round 2 if they sign a WR via FA instead of McNutt/Toon. BTW, I still do not see the organization giving up on Conte already.
  19. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=150723424372 I'm selling this jersey. Any questions, PM me. I might even go lower on that price.
  20. I hate Knox as a football player, but I hope everything goes well with this surgery.
  21. If JA goes for anything, it'll be that report from last week that he's going to straight up retire. It won't be because a guy he signed is a huge douche.
