  1. I'm one of those who thinks Toeaina and Adams suck. DT is a huge need for the Bears.
  2. Forget Forte for a second. Bennett is a UFA at year's end and should get an extension next.
  3. Reports say it's for 2 years and $6.55m.
  4. 1. Great game for Cutler. He improvised when he was rushed and made big play after big play. If Williams and Hester catch those passes, Cutler likely ends the game with 300 yards. 2. Bennett truly is a missing link. When he's out there, the offense is good. 3. Forte will be fine. Last night was the exception, not the rule. I expect him to have a huge game against Detroit. 4. The OL keeps playing better. They had their bad moments, but giving up no sacks in Philadelphia primetime is impressive. I'd sit Carimi until Louis really struggles or gets hurt. 5. Melton didn't have any sacks, but I counted 3 or 4 TFL for him. He really answered the bell. 6. Small criticism: I'd like to see the Bears DL get their hands up when they're close to the QB. They had 2 or 3 against Vick but they could've had 3 or 4 more. 7. Corey Graham is a GREAT special teams player. 8. Sunday's game is huge. To be 6-3 with 4 straight against the AFC West when all of those teams need wins is tough.
  5. I don't really mind 3:05/3:15 games. It's the road SNF and MNF that kill me, especially when they're coming off of byes. Since their last game, (if I'm counting correctly) the Bears haven't played a game in 15 days. UGH
  6. They may be an awful pass blocking OL, but the Cardinals are easily the worst OL in football. What people forget to realize is how athletic the Bears OL is. On run plays, you can see they're using more sweeps and counters. This gets their OG's pulling and their OT's running to the edges. When the Bears run a regular HB Dive, it never works. This OL needs to be out in space, not blocking straight up for straight-ahead run calls.
  7. FWIW, I take Philly 27-17. They only have 3 noon games left (KC, SEA, @MIN). You must develop patience ASAP.
  8. Watch a Cardinals game and you'll be thankful that a piece of trash like Webb, and then Carimi/Louis are the Bears OT's.
  9. The Cardinals are 2 good OL away from being a playoff team. Their OL is the worst in football.
  10. If you're going to go and not wear a Bears jersey, then just don't go.
  11. If Angelo, who has said he doesn't believe in #1 WR's, doesn't want to give Forte $8.5m/season, he likely won't want to pay Fitzgerald $120m over the next 8 years.
  12. I say go. I've been to Bears games in Indy, Seattle, and Charlotte, and opposing fans were never a problem. I understand Raiders fans are a whole different animal; Mad Lith has told his story before. But, if you don't get to see the Bears live much, go while you can.
  13. The Bears should be able to go 2-1 in their next 3 games. Philadelphia will be tough, but Detroit is starting to falter and it might be cold on November 13. San Diego is very overrated (what else is new?) and that's a very winnable game because it's at home and, again, it might be a tad cold on November 20.
  14. Brad Biggs talked to Rams beat writers and they all thought he looked great in TC and that a lot of Rams fans are pissed that he was let go.

  16. Why put Meriweather at LB? Roach is the weak link but a lot of guys would be next to Briggs and Urlacher. Meriweather is a dumb player who will be elsewhere next year. Signing Bodden is a horrible idea. I watched NE's secondary get torched today. If he's not good enough to stay with that defense, he isn't good enough for this one. Plus, Jennings has been a pleasant surprise thus year.
  17. It's the funniest thing. I read Biggs' column, and my first thought was, "how crazy would it be if he's talking about flea?" Glad you had fun. Nice seats
  18. Harris' wasn't terrible after the extension. He suffered a hamstring injury that, if a guy suffers it, is likely done for their career. John Jurkovic, former Brown, Packer, and Jaguar, had the same thing. At the time of Harris' injury, he called it on air and said he'd never be the same.
  19. The Lions next few games, in no order, are Green Bay, Chicago, New Orleans, and Denver. It's not going to be easy for them.
  20. I have issue with that. Keep Williams at OG. Against the Eagles, it has to look like this: Carimi Louis Garza Williams Webb or Louis Spencer Garza Williams Carimi Williams was a 1st round pick who played horribly at OT. He's finally starting to play well at OG. Keep him there. He's young and getting better with each game.
  21. I wouldn't say Rodgers is "way better" than Brady. I could make an argument for either guy. If I need to win a Super Bowl, give me Brady. If I need to go 14-2, give me either. If I need one for the next 8 years, give me Rodgers. Brady has the better OL but Rodgers has the better WR's. I would say Forte might be the best RB in football though, yes.
  22. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/poll/...,0,2452655.poll I voted no. I would put Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Reed, and C.Johnson ahead of him, and maybe even A.Johnson, Fitzgerald, Polamalu, Peterson, Ngata, and Revis.
  23. 2012 home opponents: Seattle, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Houston, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit (if my calculations are correct, their last home opponent will be from the NFC South [example: if the Bears finish 2nd in the North, they'll play whoever finishes 2nd in the South at home]) 2012 road opponents: Tennessee, Jacksonville, San Francisco, Arizona, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit (their last road opponent will be from the NFC East) All of this is from Brad Biggs' column today, except the stuff that's in parentheses.
  24. When you're up 16, 2nd and 16 isn't exactly mandatory. All of us have seen game after game where 2nd and 16 and 3rd and 16 are perfect downs to run draws and perhaps catch the defense sleeping. We'll agree to disagree, but just because running the ball up the middle isn't working doesn't mean they can't try anymore to the left or right on sweeps and tosses. It seems like postgame the players were defending the playcalling, but here's Biggs' take:
