  1. The OL wasn't weak enough for Forte to run for 145 yards using predominently tosses, sweeps, and counters. Why would an OC go away from what's working, especially if what's working helps run out the clock when you're murdering the opposing team? I'm not saying 100% of the time, but my lord, 80% of the time would be fine with me, and when he does call a throw, it should be WR or RB screens, quick slants, etc. None of that down the field BS. What would getting down the field do for the Bears up 16 with 10 minutes to go?
  2. And for that reason, we can only go off of past HOF inductions. If you are a ST player predominently, then you're going to have a hard time. Period. I said I think he should be in.
  3. 1. Cutler has to play better against Philly if they want a big win there. He had a lot of passes that were iffy. 2. Roy Williams is starting to play better. That's a great sign. It was good to see Knox get involved today also. 3. It's now evident more than ever that J'Marcus Webb is the weak link on the OL. Everyone on the OL had a decent game except for him. He gets beat way too much. 4. The Bears got some pressure from the front 4, but it was never overwhelming. Does Henry Melton even play for the Bears anymore? Jesus. And where the f*** was Paea today? I barely noticed him. 5. Martz needs to get his head out of his ass. Stop throwing when you're up 10 in the 4th, asshole. 6. The Eagles game on MNF will be tough. I fully expect they'll run the ball a lot. Philly's run D is awful. 7. It was good to see the D get some picks today. Chris Conte has been a surprise so far, too.
  4. Did you mean Matt Forte when you said MVP of the Bears? If not, I think that's what you meant.
  5. I'm just saying the odds aren't in Hester's favor. I think he has the stats do but past voting says it's very hard to get in the HOF if you're a ST player.
  6. I would guess maybe a spleen or kidney injury? Sometimes those are associated with back/rib/chest injuries.
  7. Pompei seems to be the new defensive coordinator? Just when I thought the Bears couldn't be f***ed anymore.. Supposedly, Urlacher said that to Bobby Wade. SUPPOSEDLY. There's a very good chance that Wade was trying to stir things up, as it was only a few days after the Bears acquired Cutler and Wade played for the Vikings. Cutler and Urlacher seem to get along fine.
  8. I wonder if he'd be motivated still had he taken $3m more from the Bears..
  9. I think the argument can be made for him, but like Connor said, it's extremely rare to see a ST player go in.
  10. Good luck getting that sign in, but if someone makes that into a shirt with Cutler's face, I'm buying it.
  11. I love how someone tweeted Cutler about this and he retweeted it.
  12. The most I'd trade for Marshall is a 3rd. If that's not what Miami wants for him, then f*** it. Marshall has a nasty off the field history, he's really not all there psychologically, and he has 4 endzone drops this year, which leads the NFL. Also, he annually leads the NFL in drops. If he can't catch passes that are thrown from Henne's and Moore's noodles arms, how will he catch Cutler's lasers? He is still owed $20 million after this season. Unless Miami is giving him away, I'll pass.
  13. I can't believe I never thought of this nor did I ever believe I'd agree with that d-bag David Kaplan, but after watching CTL today, he brought up a valid point. The Bears can tag Forte after this season and after the next. At that point, it'd be his 7th year in the NFL. Typically, RB's with 7 years under their belts begin to decline, and I can see how Forte would follow with how much he touches the ball. Can you blame the Bears if they actually did this?
  14. per PFT and Brad Biggs' twitter. Supposedly on Friday, some guy hit him in the back of the head at a casino.
  15. Glazer is reporting he's headed back to Jacksonville.
  16. Hester's TD return and TD catch were pretty awesome.
  17. Turns out he was better than Sims-Walker, who everyone wanted here.
  18. So they'd carry 7 WR's? I doubt that.
  19. This goes on all the time, I'm guessing. It just so happens a camera and a mic were there this time.
  20. So: 1. The Bears wanted no part of him in the offseason. 2. He can't make it on the Rams, a team who's WR's are arguably worse than the Bears. If they didn't want him before, I'd hope they don't want him now.
  21. They also have one of the Williams' still, Brian Robison (4.5 sacks going into week 6), and some pretty decent linebackers. Also, they aren't always playing from behind. They clobbered Arizona last week and beat the Lions down for the first 30 minutes of that game. Hell, IIRC they were also beating KC for some minutes in that game too. I think everyone here agrees they need to play better against the Green Bays, Detroits, and New Orleans' of the world, but they can't. Why? Because the QB is laying on his back once every 4 dropbacks.
  22. Marshall is borderline suicidal. Pass. Royal would come cheap, is younger, and is a FA after the year, therefore the Bears have nothing to lose. However, who would they cut to make room for him?
  23. Yeah, I heard Cutler's presser from after the game, and he named off just about everyone involved with the offense except Martz when he talked about why they were successful.
  24. Supposedly he said something vulgar but I think if that's what was said, it would be a bigger deal right now.
