  1. What I meant to say is that of their 5 o-line men, Kreutz is the one who I am least worried about. If the Bears can beat Evans and Nicks, and Peppers can do his thing on Strief, it's not like Kreutz will be there to save the day.
  2. Casillas, Moore, and Porter all may not play (and someone else but I'm drawing a blank) while Chris Harris is out. I hope Meriweather and Wright are ready to go. Saints 23-17. FWIW, f*** Mark Schlereth for reasons y'all already covered. He's a gigantic douche. And Merril Hoge, while I'm am it, for saying Kyle Orton is a good quarterback.
  3. Sounds cool. Have fun. BTW, if anyone is interested, go to jaycutlersix.com by tomorrow (the drawing is tomorrow). You can enter a $2 raffle to win a trip to this game, all expenses paid for, and tickets and expenses to the Panthers@Bears game in 2 weeks. You can buy as many $2 tickets as you want. Proceeds go to diabetes research.
  4. I don't think the Vikings or Dolphins would've beaten the Bears last year even with their 1st string QB's. As for Detroit, the Bears were the team that HURT Stafford. It's not like they lucked out and came into the game facing the 2nd string QB. The fact that people think the Bears got lucky last year are ridiculous. They beat Rodgers in week 3, they beat the healthy "almighty" (at the time) Cowboys at the time, they took Vick out of his element, got blasted by Brady, and they put Favre out of his misery. Urlacher is mourning the loss of his mom, Chris Harris and Roy Williams aren't 100%, and they won't have their starting RG. I see it like the Saints are getting "lucky" this weekend, no?
  5. Honestly, I think Kreutz will play the smallest role of any New Orleans o-line men this weekend. Strief will have Peppers or Idonije, Bushrod will have whichever Bears DE that Strief doesn't have, and Nicks and Evans are stud OG's. If anything, Kreutz won't be good or bad.
  6. How do you know Eddie Williams is "treasure?"
  7. Why is it embarrassing? The fact that people booed Briggs in warmups today is utterly stupid. Those morons should be ashamed of themselves. The f***ing guy wants more money. So did Urlacher, so does Forte, so did Tillman, so did Hester, and so did Peppers (so he left Carolina). None of those guys get booed. Dumb.
  8. Some sports station in Chicago did a "top 20 things you must do when you come to Chicago" type thing, and hearing the anthem at the United Center for a Blackhawks game was #6 or something. Awesome tradition.
  9. Forget the chasing down of Turner. Jennings had a solid game. Tillman was on White all game, and Julio Jones had a quiet 6 catches thanks to Jennings.
  10. Atlanta is overrated, and the game vs Green Bay in the playoffs last year showed it. Sam Baker is a medicore LT. If Peppers is on his game, Ryan will be in for a long day.
  11. In a perfect world- New Orleans wins, and a good player from both teams gets hurt.
  12. Bears waive Joshua Moore and sign Armando Allen to the PS.
  13. Greg Olsen Fred Miller Dez White Rex Grossman Tommie Harris Ricky Manning Jr
  14. Forte is easily a top RB in football. His total yards over the past few seasons prove that.
  15. Time for a new sig, don't you think?
  16. 7 years is way too many for a RB, especially one who does as much as Forte does. Offer him 4 years and $30 million with about $18 of that guaranteed. Move on to Chris Harris after.
  17. People forget that football players are not ordinary people, as much as we make them out to be. Whether we like it or not, they get paid a lot of money to play a sport, and they're millionaries, and Briggs obviously feels like he only has 2 or 3 more years left in him, and he realizes all of his bonuses are gone. He wants an extra $2.5m per year, probably. I can't blame him. He wants more money for his family. I believe he has 2 or 3 kids with 2 or 3 women. He f***ed up but he has a job in which he can afford that situation. Problem is, he now wants more money for his future. So be it. Briggs did great things for this franchise, and maybe by February, we're talking about him helping the Bears bring a championship to Chicago. If they can get a 2nd round pick for him, I'd be all for it. Let me be the 100000th to say that the timing sucks, though. If you know you want a trade in the offseason, just wait until then. There is no need to be a potential distraction.
  18. Signing Manumaleuna and Taylor last offseason were great moves, to say the least.
  19. I can't fault Briggs. He's coming into the end of his career but if he doesn't like his contract, why sign it 3 years ago? If he doesn't like it, I say they look for a trade in the offseason. If a team wants to give up a 1st rounder for him, I'd be all over that if I was JA.
  20. While on the topic of UDFA's possibly making the team, with the injury to Dez Clark, Kyle Adams is now likely a lock to make the team and will be apart of the TE corps with Davis and Spaeth.
  21. Cutler, the other night vs the Giants, looked more cool and calm when things didn't go right. His fundamentals were leaps and bounds better. His "body language" (whatever the f*** that even means) wasn't bad. Hopefully Cutler continues to play this way throughout the season.
  22. Rodgers and the Packers looked amazing last night. It's time for the Bears to put the ball in the endzone a few times. Unless they do so, they'll continue to be picked to finish 2nd or 3rd in the NFC North. Bear Down. (stay healthy, too)
  23. Were you at the game between the Bears and Colts in 2008 like I was?
  24. How could someone say that Mays is a better player than Manning? Manning was vastly underrated. Some website did a study and it shows that Danieal Manning was one of the best safeties in football last year. Meanwhile, Mays is about to be cut or traded.
  25. I also wanted Mays badly coming into that draft, but I wouldn't give up much for him now. Singletary didn't like him and now Harbaugh doesn't. That doesn't seem right from a character perspective.
