He was overheated. Nothing more, nothing less.

Why would the Bears offer a 3rd and 4th round pick for Taylor Mays? I'm a huge USC fan and I don't even want the guy for that price. The Jets gave up a 5th rounder for Santonio Holmes. If San Francisco wants to part ways, they should be looking for a 5th round pick.

Sam Hurd is an all around good guy. So is Roy Williams. Problem is, he sucks at football and he thinks his s*** doesn't stink. As for Marion Barber, he is seemingly from the Jay Cutler mold- he just doesn't like the spotlight and hates talking to the media. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that neither Barber or Hurd are a tool like Williams.

So I'm supposed to have a milkshake to "pretend I'm not miserable?" Maybe I won't be so miserable if people weren't reporting the Bears are going to sign players and using their own twitter account, an account with 27 or so followers, as their source. Who told you this? Your brain? Or let me guess, you're a psychic? How about I buy us milkshakes, and we can sit together, drink them, and come up with Bears rumors and put them on message boards. Hey guys, I heard the Bears are closed to trading Peppers and Cutler for Stafford and Suh. As Ochocinco would say: child please.

I'm from the Chicago burbs, born and raised. For those who weren't born in Chicago and still don't live here, how did you become Bears fans?
-
So you're your own source? Please. Let me know when someone who has credibility reports this, and Sean Jensen retweeting you shooting you down doesn't qualify.

If kids can make money at college for activities, such as writing for the school newspaper, then why can't college athletes? The whole system is corrupt. I don't blame any of these kids for taking money, cars, club access, etc. Good for Hester, A.Johnson, Beason, and so on.

Here's the downside- I watched the Saints' 1st preseason game and I could have swore that J'Marcus Webb was wearing a Stinchcomb jersey.
-
Had you asked me pregame which o-line man would play horribly, I would've said Chris Williams because of the fact that he's been bad in training camp. However, he was the least of my worries yesterday. Webb didn't play well, and Garza and Louis were pretty bad.
-
Agreed. Nobody will disagree that the OL sucks, jason. But if they progress as a unit the way they did in the 2nd half as last year's OL, the Bears can do some damage. The Bears D is spectacular and even deeper than last year's. Plus, remember Forte is in a contract year and he's going to run like a mad man.
-
1. Knox played well on ST. 2. Podlesh wasn't great, and Gould missing that cheapy is a tad scary. 3. The OL was brutal, but I liked what I saw out of Spencer. granted it was vs Buffalo's second teamers. If he isn't the starting C by week 1, I'd be shocked (move Garza to OG, bench Louis, Spencer at C). 4. Enderle was decent, Chris Harris had a huge hit, and Adams played a nice game at WR. Not that I give a s***, but Fantuz didn't touch the field and Sanzenbacher didn't catch a pass. 5. I loved the way Barber ran. Okoye was a beast tonight as well.

I doubt it. And if there is, he's doing it (see: trip to Kenya, hospital appearances, autographs at training camp, donations to diabetes foundations).
-
Right on. He's paid to play football, not for charity work or for everyone to love him.
-
Cutler's salary was 20 million last season, not 10. Typing that kind of makes me hate my life...
-
Thomas isn't dressed. I'm looking forward to see Carimi, Williams, Conte, and Bowman.
-
Does it matter? Outside of his leadership skills, he sucks at football.
-
I hope the OL plays a half and Cutler plays 1 or 2 series'. As long as everyone gets out healthy, fine.
-
His responsibilities DO go beyond the field. He donates the money he makes off his official gear on his website to diabetes, he makes trips to hospitals at Christmas, and he went to Kenya this summer.
-
Knox is the best WR on the team? Please. He's not even the 3rd best WR on the team (Bennett, Hester, Williams).
-
Why does everyone love Johnny Knox so much? Is he quick, full of potential, and seemingly a nice guy? Yes, but he has A LOT of work to do.

If Denver would've offered him the money Miami did, I think he stays, because it doesn't take a genius to know McDaniels was going to be canned sooner than later. I don't think the Broncos organization ever offered much, if anything, to Marshall in terms of a contract. I think they were prepared to get younger and got tired of his off the field crap. They drafted Demariyus Thomas, they already had Eddie Royal, and they added Brandon Lloyd for some veteran presence. It could've gotten worse, but the press conference after Denver went to 6-0, McDaniels and Marshall hugged and seemed to be getting along. Did the same thing Cutler did? Cutler didn't do a damn thing wrong there. McDaniels, upon being hired, immediately tried to trade for Matt Cassel and Cutler wanted no part of having no trust with his head coach, thus asking his way out of Denver.
-
When I was at camp, I noticed a lot of 3 WR sets, so I'm going to guess Bennett will be out there a lot with Williams and Hester.
-
If Brandon Marshall thought he could win with Kyle Orton, he would've stayed. If you add Marshall in on offense and the drafting of Von Miller on D, plus getting Dumervil back, yeah they might just be a division contender.
-
He put up good numbers in his first year in Denver? He started out 6-0 and ended 7-9 or some s***. He's not athletic at all and he's only 32-29 in his career, although everyone likes to talk him up like he knows how to win games. And why should I listen to Brandon Lloyd? He's probably the biggest idiot in the NFL outside of Roy Williams and Cedric Benson.
-
In reality, Orton needs to shut up. He was average here, and he's still average. He benefits from the team being down early and him having to throw vs prevent defenses. Whoever QB's that team is going to win 4 or 5 games. If Denver thinks Orton is their guy, they should trade Tebow. I'm not sure what they can get for him, but they've already sold as many jerseys they can of Tebow's if he's going to be 2nd or 3rd string.
