  1. Is there any team more overrated than Detroit? Stafford can't stay healthy, Suh is a beast but he picks up dumba** penalties, Fairley is a rookie, they have no secondary, and their OL continues to not improve which is why their QB keeps getting killed. Their DL might kill some QB's this year, but it won't matter if their OL can't stop other DL's from killing their QB.
  2. Once upon a time, Brett Favre was asked to leave Green Bay and Johnny Unitas was asked to leave the Colts. It happens. The more I think about it, the more I believe it was also time to move on. Hopefully Spencer can stay healthy now.
  3. Briggs, Kreutz, Hester, Idonije, Toeaina, etc too. Forte and C.Harris will be added to the list eventually as well. If they don't extend Forte, I seriously may contemplate finding a new team.
  4. I once saw a fan asked Jim McMahon before a Bears/Packers game who he was rooting for. McMahon's response was "I don't root." Sure, he responded and Cutler didn't, but it's not like McMahon was Mr. Nice Guy either. Cutler doesn't want the city to eat out of his hand or whatever. He wants to win football games, and that's fine with me.
  5. From what I've heard and seen, Cutler looks leaner with more muscle added. It sounds like Forte is a monster now (looks like Adrian Peterson). Supposedly Knox and Hester have bulked up as well. FWIW, DJ Moore has always been a great guy. I love that he's good at what he does and he's a good guy along with it.
  6. If Williams takes over at OT then, who goes to OG? Lance Louis? If anything, Louis is as good as Omiyale is.
  7. I just bumped my Dahl thread for who is left. I haven't heard any rumors, and I'd rather have Waters over Davis if they're going for 34 year old OG's.
  8. BUMP I edited who is still left.
  9. I was thinking of possibly getting a new banner here. I don't have the photoshop skills, but perhaps someone else does. So here, I ask you to vote for 3 (if only 2 can fit in the banner, then that's fine and whoever can take the top 2) players who you'd like to see in the new banner.
  10. According to JA's press conference right now, Olsen "came after me hard for a trade last year." Interesting, and this contradicts Olsen's tweets every other night saying he wants to finish his career here.
  11. Blalock has been retained by the Falcons. Cutting Omiyale is a dumb thing to do. Who plays OT in case of injury?
  12. I couldn't have said it any better.
  13. Very interesting. Immediately, I think this hurts because it seems like a lot of the players are pissed off. In the long run, Spencer could progress and be a good player. According to a few Seattle beat writers, Spencer is an average C. It should be noted that on Marshawn Lynch's memorable run vs NO in the playoffs, Spencer threw 2 great blocks. His name is Linnenkohl.
  14. Maybe I'm a just a big fan of JC, but I've never seen the problem with his attitude. Does he throw his hands up when WR's don't catch a catchable ball? Yes, and so does Peyton Manning. Does he hang his head when he throws a pick? Yes, which is the only thing to do when you throw a pick. Does he barely give out any information to the media in press conferences? Yes, but so what? He's just your ordinary football player but he doesn't love the attention. He went to Kenya with Cavalleri and he didn't want any credit for it. If Drew Brees, that s*** would be all over the news. Sean Jensen wrote a great article the other day saying Cutler did something like autographed $60,000 worth of stuff to give his high school a new field or something. My information might be off there, but it was something like that.
  15. Don't forget my "Harvey Dahl to STL" thread I posted a day or 2 ago. I list all of the OL left.
  16. No way on Harrison. He's a slob. Gilbert was cut a long, long time ago. I think Paea wins it. He's a beast. I'm a USC fan so I saw a lot of his games and he's a monster. He may not have a great rookie year, but he's going to progress. As for the whole DL in general, this is a great problem to have. Toeaina, Wooton, and Melton all played decent or well last year. Peppers is a monster and Idonije played great last year. If this season is a bad one, I can guarantee that the DL won't be to blame.
  17. The Bears just signed a FB. Unga will probably be cut.
  18. Yeah, you can look at this and say, "why the f*** is JA not giving him an extra 500k?" But you can also look at it and say, "why the f*** can't Kreutz just take $4 million rather than $4.5 million?"
  19. I know it's not a huge transition, but isn't Tatupu a MLB?
  20. Ruskell had Chris Spencer in Seattle, and Spencer is a FA. Perhaps he is Kreutz's replacement at C? Shaun O'Hara is another option; he's a Chicago guy. Kyle Cook is interesting. He's only 28 and has been pretty good for Cincinnati.
  21. Well yes, they certainly have, but I think they upgraded it when they drafted Paea and released Harris. Signing Okoye is an alright move- he might have 3-4 sacks this year. Signing Gholston is a long, long shot at helping the team at all.
  22. If they cut Taylor, this means they will have lost 2 of the 3 guys they signed last offseason which means they would've paid Manumaleuna and Taylor $13m and admitted their mistake. I think cutting Unga is a bigger possibility.
  23. The Bears low-balled Kreutz. It's likely that he signs elsewhere.
  24. The sense I can make is that Chester Taylor will probably be cut and the FO doesn't love Harvey Unga as much as they say. JA is willing to give 2 years to Marion Barber but not to Olin Kreutz. F***. Trust me, I love Marion Barber. He gets hurt some, but he won't with 10-15 touches per game. But none of this means s*** if Garza is playing C.
  25. Is this sarcasm? At least he's only 24, I guess.
