  1. Apologies. Thanks for the update. Bushrod would be a nice pick-up for sure.
  2. According to @ESPNChiBears on twitter (JD and Wright from ESPN), the Bears have contacted Willie Colon. Thoughts?
  3. No. He wasn't very good at RB at Notre Dame, yet alone FB.
  4. Babin to the Bears is likely not to happen now. It looks like Babin to Philadelphia is gaining steam.
  5. It's ridiculous that those draft picks turned into such s***, but Eric Weddle is nowhere even close to be worth this much money.
  6. Yeah, you covered it. Also, you don't have to be a great pass rushing OLB in the Bears system. Typically, you have to cover better than you can pass rush.
  7. Can we get some editing on this title? SANZENBACHER
  8. It was a lockout, not a strike, FYI. I'd much rather have a big name OL than a big name WR, and I'm not sure how anyone can possibly disagree with this.
  9. Yeah, Moss signed a 3 year deal with the Redskins. Time to close up this baby.
  10. Charles Johnson got $30m guaranteed from Carolina today. If he can get that, Babin will get a good amount as well, and that likely takes the Bears out of his sweepstakes.
  11. I highly doubt they sign Marshall. The Bears have Conte, Wright, and Harris at S. I wouldn't mind Dahl, but I'm not a big fan of his age. Clabo wouldn't be too bad either.
  12. Come on. They have Unga, Forte, and Taylor. Hughes won't sniff the Bears final roster. Besides Linnenkohl, I'd be willing to wager anyone on here that none of these players even make the final roster. It's always fun to see these lists come out every year, but they were UDFA's for a reason. Some players have a body type or some stats that fans fall in love over, but these guys aren't any good. And please, don't show me some small group of 15 UDFA's that are now good NFL players, because I'll show you the 99% that never played a down.
  13. Rumor has it they went a 3rd round pick. I know I'm not the Bears, but I'd much rather have Plax for $2m/year.
  14. I mean, Wilson played 15 games last year and did well when called upon. I think it's ridiculous that you could say "he has never stepped on the field" when he clearly has.
  15. Linnenkohl is interesting. He may never play for the Bears, but some mock drafts prior to the draft had him going in rounds 4 or 5. He could be a surprise and could be the future C.
  16. I was also going to make a Hass comment. This guy will never play in the NFL for the Bears. It's the Bears way, but that's not exactly a "bad" thing. Aromashodu will likely sign in Minnesota, and we'll probably never hear from him again. Hass went to Seattle, IIRC, and I never heard another peep about him. Plus, who's spot could he take? Certainly not Knox's, Hester's, or Bennett's. Davis, maybe, but if he's re-signed, he's a good ST player.
  17. If I had to guess, I'd say the Bears sign an OG and a CB, along with the re-signing of Kreutz, Wilson, and Roach, and eventually an extension for Forte and maybe Olsen. Bears FO has said they've talked to the current WR's and told them they won't be going after a high-priced WR FA.
  18. Would you like to wager on him coming back? Would you like to wager on your statement that he has "never stepped on a field?"
  19. Why are the Panthers JA's favorite team?
  20. Unless you mean for the NFLPA's pockets, this has nothing to do with putting money in those 3 players' hands directly. Brees and Manning are filthy rich already, and Mawae made a great career out of being a center. Manning's only beef is the continuous FT that Irsay and company keep putting on him. I believe this will be his 3rd straight, unless he gets an extension finally.
  21. You could say the same for everyone I mentioned except Forte. However, the other 3 will all likely get one, and if they do soon after this lockout is over, I'll consider it an extension because they would've never stepped on the field in any other jersey but Chicago's.
  22. In terms of the HOF game being canceled, I don't think this affects anything. With the game, the Bears would've had 5 preseason games. Now, they have the usual 4.
  23. Not a chance on Lawson. The Bears will keep Wilson AND Roach before Manny Lawson.
  24. And like I've mentioned, look for more of the same. In the end, Forte, Harris, Adams, and Roach will all be getting extensions soon.
