  1. Wait. I thought Jerry Angelo is the worst drafting GM to ever walk the planet? /sarcasm
  2. I think drops are overrated. Brandon Marshall led the NFL in drops 2 straight years IIRC yet anyone on this board would gladly take him.
  3. I think jason took this too serious. I think he meant what player what have you seen mocked to the Bears but do not want any part of. There are a few players. It used to be Anthony Castonzo, but he's looked good. Nate Solder once looked like he'd have no chance of falling to the Bears, and he's been unimpressive. If I had to choose AT THIS JUNCTURE, I'd say Derrek Sherrod, or any RT for that matter. J'Marcus Webb is horses*** at this point, but he showed promise for a 7th round pick from a small school.
  4. Cutler would never do this. It just doesn't seem like he'd go out of his way to work on his mechanics. He's going to be 28 or 29 next year. He's likely going to never be mechanically sound.
  5. Stephen Paea lifted 225 pounds 49 times the other day. If he's there for the Bears, he's 1 of 2 starting DT's for the Bears next season.
  6. Bears terminate contracts of T.Harris, H.Hillenmeyer, and K.Shaffer, per everyone's twitter.
  7. I don't really know what people see in Jeff Fisher. Because he played in Chicago? Big f***ing deal. 17 or so seasons, no rings, and a lot of bad teams he coached. Of course, every fan base wants Cowher, but he'd switch the defense to a 3-4 and then it would be time to rebuild anyways.
  8. Do you mean the Bears are going to need a 3rd CB or 3rd safety? Because you said CB but then listed the team's safeties.
  9. I never said they should sign him. I said he should be safety option #1.
  10. He should be safety option #1. He's a solid player who could be had for 2 or 3 years. In that time, Wright can play special teams and the staff can evaluate him as a safety to see if he'll ever be a starting NFL safety or just a special teams player.
  11. I'm pretty sure Harris is a ZBS guy who struggled once McDaniels brought in a regular offense. Pass.
  12. Bob Sanders has literally left body parts on the field. I'd rather go after Otogwe honestly. Sanders wouldn't probably make it out of training camp with the Bears.
  13. Sign Carl Nicks. NOTE: I don't have them taking an OG because: Carl Nicks is a stud and they improved once Garza came back. I don't have them taking a bruising RB to compliment Forte because: Harvey Unga should get some time this year. 1. Benjamin Ijalana, OT/OG, Villanova ---I haven't been a fan of taking an OT this high as you all know. But this is perfect. I'm not sure whether Ijalana will be guard or tackle in the NFL. Omiyale and Webb are going to be given chances to succeed. Ijalana can wait for now as he gets used to the speed of the NFL and also what position fits him best. 2. Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia ---Tim Jennings has been a surprise, and Tillman has really played well. The only problem is- Jennings probably isn't the future and Tillman is aging. Dowling has had injury issues but is a STEAL here. 3. Sione Fua, NT, Stanford ---The Bears NEED help at DT. Tommie Harris? Anthony Adams? Please. Henry Melton has been a surprise but they need youth, skill, and it seems like Angelo and Smith stress DL every April. 4. Kris Durham, WR, Georgia ---A big WR (6'5, 220) who played well in the Texas vs Nation game, a game where Angelo finds at least 1 draft pick annually. 5. Jake Kirkpatrick, C, TCU ---I have no idea how Kreutz will handle this. I always say that Kreutz will keep receiving the benefit of the doubt from the organization; he will never be told to leave or retire. Until then, Kirkpatrick will probably be a bench player or play some at OG. 6. Trevis Turner, OT, Abilene Christian ---Angelo loves ACU players seemingly, and he's a HUGE body (6'7, 330) and a pure RT. 7. Raymond Webber, WR, Arkansas Pine Bluff ---Small school and 2 straight WR's?! What's the point?! This is the point--this guy might be the STEAL of the draft. He was an AP FCS All-American and was a Walter Payton Award Finalist. He led the NCAA with 101 catches and almost 130 ypg. Also, he's 6'2, 220.

  15. Like who? I can only remember Derek Kinder a year or 2 back in round 7. Von Miller has been flying up draft boards and supposedly he and just about everyone else was manhandling Schilling at the Senior Bowl. In the 5th, maybe, but not in round 3, please.
  16. Who have the Bears ever drafted in the 5th round from a community college?
  17. Considering he compared what the Bears paid Taylor to what "the Pack paid" 5 other guys, I doubt it.
  18. I don't know how many of you heard of this or saw this, but after Randel El's 2 point conversion yesterday, Hester tweeted this: Thoughts? This seems to be deeper than "I wish I got the ball more." Sounds more like "give me the f***ing ball, idiots."
  19. According to Sean Jensen's twitter, he's good in run blocking and terrible in pass protection. Chicago needs a guy who's good or great in both. Period.
  20. You like T.Harris? He sucks and I hope I never see him wear orange and blue again, unless it's with Denver. As a matter of fact, it's been tough to stomach watching him play these past 3 seasons. As for Knox, he is absolute hot garbage. He makes some tough catches and so forth, but overall, causes too many INT's. If the Bears drafted a WR and signed 1, I'd be all in favor of putting his a$$ deep down on the depth chart.
  21. They all suck? You're all right. The Super Bowl MVP and the runner-up in DPOY suck. Let me guess- you guys like Tommie Harris and Johnny Knox because they're Bears? Whatever.
  22. Figuratively, if the Bears could get 1 player from the Packers, who would you want them to get? Raji: a dominating DT who would fill an obvious missing piece in the middle of the Bears DL. Rodgers: the Bears have a QB and in the midst of tons of stars from the Packers as options, Rodgers is a long shot, but would he be worth it? Matthews: another longshot just because the Bears are a 4-3 and he feeds off being an OLB in a 3-4, but again would he be worth it? Jennings: he would immediately be the missing #1 WR the Bears have lacked for years. Bulaga: a young OT who would fill the Bears most pressing need. Other: is there someone else on your mind?
