  1. Put $4 on the Seahawks.
  2. There is not 1 team in the NFC playoffs that scare me. Seahawks- all 9 losses were by 15+ points. Saints- the Bears have beaten them every year they've played them since 2005 (IIRC). Falcons- it'll be tough going to the Georgia Dome but they aren't unbeatable. Packers- beat Chicago 10-3 in a MUST WIN HOME GAME by a measly 7 points and the Bears beat them in Chicago. Eagles- Vick is getting beat up (hasn't played a full season since 2006) and their OL is swiss cheese. So f*** it, why not the Bears?
  3. At the start of the year, I think I predicted 5-11. Sure, I never used to take preseason games with any meaning, but this was different. The OL looked like ASS. But now that they're 11-5 and have a first round bye, I WANT them to advance to the Super Bowl at least. My heart and brain tell me there's no chance, but I'm hoping.
  4. It's worth a shot. Maybe he'll actually give a damn about blocking unlike DA.
  5. I should put $20 on the Seahawks for the hell of it...
  6. This is similar to my observations, so good job.
  7. The defending champs get to go across the country on a short week to Seattle, and GB goes to Philly. If Seattle wins, I'll be cheering so hard for Green Bay. But really, NO is going to beat Seattle by atleast 2 TD's, and I like Philadelphia over the Pack. Predictions?
  8. Bears4Ever Exactly. Forget Manumaleuna. He's had his moments although he's been mostly terrible. However, Chester Taylor is downright awful.
  9. Cutler has to play better. He looked lost today. He seemed to have the Grossman on NYE mentality today--the "f*** it, this game is meaningless" mentality. Hopefully he brings it in 2 weeks. Not to make excuses, but maybe Bennett is that valuable. Knox, Hester, and Olsen never make a catch that they shouldn't. Forte played well again. He's definitely a secret weapon going into the playoffs. Why did Martz shy away from Forte running it (again)? Stupid coaching there. The OL was beat on numerous times today. It's bad when Garza is turning his head on blitzes and Manumaleuna can't keep Woodson in front of him. Peppers has gone 2 straight games now where he's been pretty quiet. Someone awake the giant. All in all, the D played great but the O didn't hold their end. Rest up and come out flying next weekend.
  10. This isn't a very strong CB FA class and it's always pretty difficult for us as fans to pick a CB to sign because it's up in the air as to which CBs fit into the cover-2. I could see the FO signing a WR though. Mike Sims-Walker? Steve Smith (NYG)? Jacoby Jones? Vincent Jackson? James Jones?
  11. Omiyale- young and being paid a lot of money. Garza- the FO is going to look at him as the lasy piece of the puzzle, the guy who came in and turned it around on the OL after his injury. Williams- (see: Omiyale) Kreutz- declining but making a lot of money and the FO isn't going to bench a veteran like Kreutz. Webb- definitely could be way better but he's a giant and was a 7th round pick. In the end, the FO isn't going to get rid of any of these guys to reach on an OT in round 1 or to take an OG im round 1.
  12. Who do you all see JA, Tice, and Lovie giving up on on the OL?
  13. The NFL cancelled Eagles/Vikings because of 5 inches of snow. What do they expect in February in NYC? If there's heavy snow, do they postpone it again? But yes, one at Soldier Field would be awesome.
  14. When will you ever actually READ my posts? My God, get your head out of your a**. Did I say the OL is good? No. I said THE ORGANIZATION (not ME) isn't going to give up on a group of guys that are progressing. Yes, they're still the worst OL in football. When you're at the bottom of the ocean and swim up 50 feet, you're still pretty deep. It's like having a 50% F in a class and now you have a 57%. It still sucks, yes, but the organization WILL NOT give up on the OL if they continue to progress.
  15. 1. Favre 2. The Pro Bowl 3. Icing kickers 4. Illegal Contact foul being an automatic first down 5. Cold weather Super Bowls
  16. His argument is, pretty much, that if the Jets didn't go for the fake punt, they would've beaten the Bears. Man, I remember my first argument..
  17. The more and more our OL progresses, and the more and more I realize that Angelo and Lovie, and Tice and Martz, won't be giving up on Omiyale, Webb, Williams, or Garza anytime soon, the more I realize that they should use their 1st or 2nd pick on a DT. The organization just is not going to give up on the OL anytime soon especially with their progression. Toeaina is a solid player but nothing special. It's amazing how good the D has been this year despite horses*** play from the DT's.

    OL

That was, by far, the OL's best game as a unit all season BY A LANDSLIDE. The only player who had 2 or more false starts was Williams, and I think only Omiyale had the other. Hell, it even rubbed off on the usual patty-cake Olsen, who smashed a Jet enroute to Forte's TD run.
  19. Terra- We disagree on a lot of stuff and maybe this is knitpicking, but we disagree again here. I don't think anyone came and gave him a pat on the back. In my mind, I've been wondering since week 15 of 2009 if Cutler would ever pan out for the Bears but talking with friends and on here, I've always backed him up. Therefore, I don't think anyone patted him on the back. Cutler is old enough and HOPEFULLY finally maturing where an early pick-6 doesn't take him out of the game.
