  1. And it sucks. It also doesn't change the fact he is 26, and the Bears are bursting with DT depth at the moment. You let him play out the 4 year deal, and see what happens. Its completely different with Brown. Brown is almost 4 years older than Dusty, and has a ton more "football" years on him than Dusty does. It would dumb to cut ties with Dusty, end of story.
  2. So they can give him the starting job, only to see him go down in week 3. I love Brown, but time to cut your losses, move on.
  3. In addition to FS Mike Brown, the Bears have reportedly also lost NT Dusty Dvoracek to a season ending knee injury.
  4. NFL Network and ESPN's John Clayton report the Redskins have traded safety Adam Archuleta to the Bears in exchange for a conditional sixth-round draft pick. Washington worked a new contract that will pay Archuleta $8.1 million over the next three years. Archuleta had a terrible 2006 in D.C. but Bears coach Lovie Smith will know how to best use his skills in the box and in coverage. He'll likely replace Todd Johnson as the Bears' third safety and could start while Mike Brown recovers from his Lisfranc injury.
  5. NFL Network reports the Redskins have traded S Adam Archuleta to the Bears in exchange for a conditional sixth-round draft pick.
  6. JA has made some great pickups on the D. He just doesn't have much of an eye for offensive talent. Calling Angelo just "lucky" in the draft is dumb.
  7. What a joke. This is a franchise that has more money than God, and have basically put this entire franchise in the hands of Lovie, and they are going to let him become a FA?
  8. From everything I have read, Hester was an awful corner in COLLEGE, let alone the NFL. The Bears didn't draft Hester to be a CB. He is a return man, and a great one at that.
  9. Something to note. The Bears were within 5 points of the Colts in the 4th quarter, and the Bears D didn't give up a single point that entire quarter. Yet, near the end of the game, the Bears were done. Yet the D is to blame....
  10. Half time check. -Get the freakin O on the field. I don't care if the drives stall out, just stay out there for a while. -I actually have been very happy with our D. You cant ask any team to be on the field as much as they have, but aside from a few plays, they have matched up well. -Rex needs to pull a NY Giatns game here. BRUTAL that 1st half, whole other team the 2nd half. Something needs to change. -Take some shots. Stay with the run, but they have to stretch the field a little bit here.
  11. It will blow, hard after they lose, but in a few days, I will look back on it as a very, very solid season. One thing I have thought about that no seems to be, is what if Rex has a 4 INT game, 0.0 ratting? Can you imagine the off-season and the media? Holy shit, it would be awful.
  12. Bears need to get younger on the O-Line, and this would be a way to do it.
  13. Grossman certainly didn't carry the Bears to the Super Bowl, but he is the starting QB for the SuperBowl Bears. Man up
  14. I really don't think Rivera is even going to have a job to interview for anymore...
  15. "BOOM! The keys to the game today are simple. If the Bears want to come out on top, they need to score just a little bit more than the Seahawks. Whoever has the most points at the end of the 4th quarter, should win this football game. Now, speaking of Brett Farve, he should be the QB for the Bears AND the Seahawks. How cool would it be if one guy played for both teams. He throws it down the field for one team, then he comes back and does it for the other, uhuh uhuh BOOM!"
  16. I still thought sports were entertainment. Guess not.
  17. I knew some smart folks like yourself could figure it out.
  18. Thomas Jones is the worst starting RB in the league. Remember guys?
