I honestly see no wins at all... I suppose I need your rose hued sunglasses.

Fromm? Or will he be gone?
-
Yes. He is a great athlete and can make the throws...he just can't play "QB". There's more to it. He can't "general" his team. And he can't make throws in game. He makes some, and misses wildly far too often. Minshew I'm sure will also be exposed. I'm not sold on him either. That said, it's time to move on. I'd rather see Daniel and see if Nagy can actually coach now.

I hear ya, but I think our luck at QB is so putrid, we can't afford to let up on the gas pedal! But, I have no problem with every other year. Or simply depending on the talent pool. Maybe year 1,2,4,6...

The only people we trade Mack for is Mahomes or Watson. Beyond that, hell no. Not even Brady. As Connor, and many have said, you bring in a legit vet (like a A. Smith or someone), have that person legitimately compete w/ Tru next season (as Tru will basically still be on a rookie deal w/ a snowball's chance in hell of becoming something or barring some miracle int he next few weeks that the light goes on) and you draft a QB somewhere in rounds 2-6. To at least groom as a legit back up or better. Then, the following season, you asses your draft capital and make another bold move to nab a franchise QB. We've seen it. Since the Chargers drafted Rivers, we've started something like 20 $hitty QB's w/ Cutler and Tru giving us some hope for a minute. Additionally, we must draft a QB every single draft. This is why NE is always loaded w draft capital.

Great franchises have the big 3. A good QB, a good Coach and a good GM. All 3, are suspect for us. Each has flashed. But each has failed miserably in a large way. Logic tells me to let this play out. Tru will probably not be the guy, and we probably bring in a good vet to push Tru and replace Daniel. Nagy will get a third year to see this through. He might improve since he's young. Or he might just be a stubborn guy making the same mistakes he's been making for the past 24 games. Pace will probably get the longest pass and might be able to draft another QB and hire another coach if Nagy doesn't cut it. All that said, part of me just feels that this doesn't feel right. No logic. Just gut. And maybe gutting it quick and getting a jump start doesn't close the window. We'd hit a stride in 2 seasons potentially. They won't do it. It's not how the Bears do business. So, I'm going to grin and bear it. I'll stand by that it won't work and all 3 will be replaced in 3 years. I'm itching to be wrong. I really want to be wrong. Badly. I fear I'm not. We've not had back to back winning seasons in eons. Only once during Smith even. Speaks volumes... The national disrespect is valid. Until I see 2 seasons in a row, I'm assuming it's an anomaly. Sorry, sobering up this morning...

I'm not quite wearing the tinfoil hat, but it certainly raises flags. Without knowing anything about his issue(s), the contentious signing certainly looks like he and his agent might have known something the Bears didn't or hoped they didn't. No proof. Just circumstantial. But, if I were GM and someone offered a second for him, I'd take it. He was supposed to be a leader. And he actually looks and feels significantly less of one.

Great point. Maybe the best is to simply do what Pace lied to us about when he first came. Pick a QB every year. Get one in rounds 3-5, see what you have. At some point, you might strike gold. Or at least get serviceable. We have those kinds of picks in the upcoming draft...

This will be a Bears win, big. Tru over 300 passing and 3 scores. Monty w/ over 100 rushing/receiving and a score. It won't tell us much other than leaving it still an unknown. Beating a hurt/suspect club doesn't prove they are good. Losing to them, would prove we are indeed truly bad. I think this game simply kicks the can down the road for now.

And maybe his bald a$$ (as I am also bald) shouldn't be wearing visors... Ballcap please. Sorry, had to grasp at a straw!

Not sure. Probably not. The defensive issues could be completely related to the HC and the offense. They are responsible too. But, the possibility of Pagano maybe being the next HC is not out of the realm of possibility. In Nagy, I no longer trust. He's got to earn it back.

This week is problematic. We can only prove the negative. If we lose yet again, it's over. If we win, it still might be over...

I'd like to give Nagy more rope... I think the issue is that he isn't a good play caller. Give that up. He didn't do a good job of it in KC (see that playoff game). That said, his mentor, Reid, gave up those duties to him back then. So, it wouldn't be out of character for him to relinquish duties to his OC. I think Nagy quite possibly might be a very good overall general. Just not a great in the trenches coach. When his script run afoul, he is lost. So, take the script away. Give it to someone else. Maybe he can see the forest from the trees when he's not dead set on a script. It's a thought. More a hope. I really don't want to start all over again. I'm ok w/ moving from Tru if we have to. But, doing the whole regime again all over again would just be so gut wrenching. And no matter what, the Bears will not move quickly to make that change . So it's in all our best interests that this is a learning situation that they grow stronger from. I'm not giving up hope for Nagy, Tru and Pace yet. I'm super f'in' worried... And it's not looking good. But, stranger things have happened. We've been so snake bit as an organization for decades now, that you'd like the law of averages would come our way one time. But I hear ya, club dub is now training wheels for babies. Time to man up and play football and keep the dance party for the off season.

Waller, Kittle, Engram...to name a few others. I feel we have no TE of any real value on the team. Burton is shot and Shaheen is a miss. Anything we can get for any of them is a positive.

Man, what a difference 6 weeks makes. Before the season started we pretty much all thought we'd be solid except at K.... Now K is about the only place we are solid!

My apologies! I do remember seeing your post earlier now! Forgive my Monday plagiarism! I didn't have my coffee before posting... Yeah, good point on Jackson...he hasn't done anything of note this year so far. Cohen gives me Tavon Austin vibes. So much potential, but so little performance. Goldman is the one super solid, agreed. But could the broken clock be correct twice a day? My Kool-Aid is dried up...

I don't think Nagy can remotely be fired in season. Even when we had jokes like Trestman, we always waited for year end.

Roquan Smith (concern about is mental state, potential to be great or wash out) James Daniels (serviceable NFL player) Anthony Miller (can't run correct routes) Joel Iyiegbuniwe (no impact) Bilal Nichols (injured, but good player) Kylie Fitts (no impact) Javon Wims (not allowed to play, but looks promising) Mitchell Trubisky (?) Adam Shaheen (injury prone, potential to be serviceable) Eddie Jackson (home run) Tarik Cohen (above average in 2017/2018) Jordan Morgan (no impact) Leonard Floyd (serviceable NFL player) Cody Whitehair (serviceable NFL player) Jonathan Bullard (washout) Nick Kwiatkoski (serviceable NFL backup) Deon Bush (special teams/backup) Deiondre' Hall (special teams/backup) Jordan Howard (good player) DeAndre Houston-Carson (no impact) Daniel Braverman (cut) Kevin White (disaster) Eddie Goldman (good player) Hroniss Grasu (bust) Jeremy Langford (no impact) Adrian Amos (good player) Tayo Fabuluje (no impact)

All you guys are making great points. This season is so far, an enormous disappointment at best. We were sold a bill of goods last season that looked good. Was it smoke & mirrors? All the negatives are starting to show. The QB looks lost and regressed. The running game is non existent and they aren't even trying. The OL is somehow significantly worse than last year despite virtually the same crew and coaches. The coaching looks bad, and probably was bad last season. The D also tends to give up long sustained drives at the end of games. Yeah, they are on the field a lot, but something isn't right. Maybe we miss Fangio more than we initially thought? It's all just so utterly disappointing. Fell like we've seen this movie before. Bad O, good D. At least in prior years, while the QB/WR's were poor, our running game was always good. We don't even have that any more! This team has no offensive identity. Tru puts in the work, but it's not showing up on game day. I really really hate to admit it, but Tru ain't it. I was holding out hope. But, I think he won't ever be the guy. At least here. Maybe a different coach and scenery can get something out of him. I'm ok giving him the rest of the season to figure it out. I'm also OK w letting Chase give it a shot. And I'm starting to question Pace. There are so many first round misses. I'm not sure he's all that. Losing him wouldn't make me sad. And I'm starting to think of Nagy in the same way. The rah rah is nice. But he's not shown much real coaching ability. Tru looks lost and the play calling is atrocious. Just sad... He's better than the last couple of bozos. But, I'm not sure how good he really is. He'll get at least one more year to make something of it.

For real!!!!

The point isn't whether Davis is any good. or not He's not. But, we aren't trading draft capital for anyone at this point. Gordon solves no issue other than having some more depth, and the cost is too prohibitive for that luxury. Picks for a stud OL? I'd think about that...
-
No. We don't need to trade for any position let alone RB. We need to call runs and let Monty run...

Damn GB gets every break imaginable... That Karma pendulum should be a b!tch when it finally swings against them...
