  1. The only thing I know for sure is it doesn't make the Lions look good about not doing their homework on him. Doesn't mean they shouldn't have hired him, but it appears they did not know from what I've read.
  2. I 100% trust Howard to get me 2 hard yards. That is something that should not be discounted. Something Forte couldn't do despite all he could.
  3. We know this is basically PR. But, there's nothing wrong with it!
  4. But this is the first draft (so far...and really through 3 rounds is the benchmark anyway) I can recall where no one here is really complaining. All the picks make sense. And moreso, they look outstanding. Sure, there may have been a guy or 2 someone here would have preferred...but the 4 guys we got are just excellent on paper.
  5. But...Harry Hiestand hasn't worked w/ him yet...
  6. My round 2 guy is the guy Pace drafts! Not to be a jack@$$ about it...but I really feel like he's been drafting strong in the second round...so I really have faith that he'll continue to do so.
  7. I'm thrilled with this pick. Let the LB tradition live on!
  8. I kind of have this odd feeling, that we will all "like" whoever it is we draft. There are just too many guys that could fit. SOme may like a pick more than others...but I think we will have a guy that will play and have an immediate impact. My glass doth overflow...
  9. That is awesome! And how it should be if you are to be successful...
  10. I'm pulling for Smith... With the hopes he is a poor man's Mike SIngletary!
  11. I slot a bag of d's to Green Bay. I hope they choke on em...
  12. Yeah, From what I've consistently read, Smith can be the defensive leader for years to come. I'd welcome that.
  13. I'm going to the Bucs game on 9/30... If anyone's interested, I also have 2 tickets to the pre-season game vs KC. Send me a private message...

  16. Kind of a fluff piece, but still nice to read... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/04/17/jordan-howard-comforting-that-bears-said-they-wont-trade-me/ Jordan Howard: “Comforting” that Bears said they won’t trade me Posted by Josh Alper on April 17, 2018, 2:50 PM EDT Getty Images Before wide receiver Jarvis Landry was traded to the Browns this offseason, there were reports that the Dolphins were talking about trading him to the Bears for running back Jordan Howard. That didn’t happen and it doesn’t appear the Bears are going to look for other trading partners for a deal involving Howard. Howard spoke to the media from the team’s offseason program on Tuesday and said the Bears have told him that they are planning to keep him in Chicago. “They told my agent they had no plans to trade me or anything like that,” Howard said, via the Chicago Tribune. “So that’s comforting.” There was some question about how comfortable Howard was earlier this month. Visitors to Howard’s Instagram page in early April found all pictures of him in a Bears uniform had been removed from the page, but they’ve since been restored and Howard claimed ignorance about the changes when asked on Tuesday. Curious as the case of the vanishing and reappearing photos may be, Howard remains in Chicago and it seems more likely than not that he’ll continue to call the city home for the rest of 2018.
