  1. A few people have said similar. That would be interesting if he literally wins the job hands down before the season starts.
  2. Yes. Hate. I think if you read into the details...I think the guy was trying to be on the sidelines regarding some kind of VIP thing I think. However, as much as I hate the Packers. I don't truly hate the fans. Real fans. Not the bandwagon a$$hats that live in Hollywood and started liking the Packers because of John Madden's love affair with Britfar.

  4. Can we bring Rusty back along w/ the Honey Bears?
  5. Agreed. His quality of life is far more important.
  6. After all his TD's, he can have a better look at which ref to toss the ball to...

    Trubisky

That is really the crux of it...

    Trubisky

    No just being contrary... Boo!
  9. As Tony Bennett sang..."They all laughed at Christopher Columbus..." But they are probably right. We suck. We always will. We'll never be good. But...I don't care. I have hope.
  10. Sure. Part of me has no problem w/ the team signing a slew of these older guys that have some good history. Shotgun theory...one or 2 of the bunch could still make an impact. We have the cap space...sign a one year prove it deal and cut him if he sucks. That said, I'd have no problem passing either. But, with Merideth dinged, White a big question mark...why not load up?
  11. Keep Alaska away from the open window!
  12. Traded out Royal for Cruz and saved $3M in the process. Sounds OK to me...
  13. He'll look good for a minute, then falter...
  14. I'm not sure the next great Bears LB is on the team at the moment... We will see. Floyd I feel is more a DL than a true LB.
  15. I think so. It's not quite apples to apples...but more the idea of having all the tool around him before he gets out there.
  16. Agreed. Continue to build up the OL, the secondary, etc... Then it's an optimal situation with some similarity to how Dak walked into his.
  17. You might be right. But, it's also a bit of an insurance policy. Glennon may be a lot of things. Poor ain't one of 'em...
  18. Still not a problem... If we found the next coming of Unitas in Glennon, then the fact we didn't draft a defensive player this particular draft isn't the end of the world . One would think we draft some in 2018 and 2019. Hindsight can always be 20/20. And sure, doing the safe thing and getting a defensive guy hoping he'd be an impact guy if Glennon turns out to be a stud would be a windfall. But, it's just too much speculation to remotely be concerned about. What the hope is realistically is that Glennon can hold the ship down for a year while we see upwards trends on O and D. Then, we get something for Glennon and move on to Trubisky. And draft a boat load of D and O line... Let Trubisky grow in 2018. Then start the run in 2019.
  19. If Glennon is a stud, it's like winning the Lotto. We're talking about a ridiculously small percentage hypothetical situation. If Glennon is Johnny Unitas reincarnated...no one is going to mind waiting on Trubisky a bit longer... The reality is he won't even be remotely close to that... And the larger concern will be is it too soon to put Trubisky in?
  20. I tend to agree. Seems like this season...as the expectation is not SB...would be a good one to put Long in at LT for a full camp and season. Just all in... See if he can rock it. Then when Trubisky is ready next season, the OL could be epic. Or you move him back.
  21. I'm glad I stumbled onto it... It's definitely making me excited for the future.
