  1. I love that Briggs is calling out the D...essentially Smith. Anything can be read into it really. But I'm choosing to think Briggs isn't happy with the D and Smith.
  2. It's not just Chicago...it's everywhere!
  3. If I got his paycheck, you could call my wife a whore and I'd still be smiling...
  4. I love your assessment. You up for the job of GM? Then again, I think some folks wouldn't want a non NFL employee to ponder such thoughts...
  5. ...really moreso of "Good Times" But maybe that just dates me...
  6. For better or worse, I pulled the trigger and dropped Robbie and took Nugent. The league also gives points for is your player's team wins, and docks points if they lose. So I liked the AZ match-ups over the next 2 weeks better than the Bears'.
  7. We have to play 2 kickers in my league... On my roster are Gould and Mare. Nugent is availalbe who looks to be kicking these last 3 weeks for AZ up until the playoffs. Chi has BAL, MIN DET Sea has TB, GB, TEN Az has DET, STL, GB I'm in the playoffs and this week is the conf, and next the Super Bowl. However there is also a big payout for total points at the final week. Based on that, it would seem Nugent is the guy to play for at least these 2 weeks. Gould looks to be the worst play these 2 weeks, but the best in the last week. Question: Should I drop Gould or mare for Nugent? ...and more specifically, who? My gut says stand pat. My brain is telling me drop Gould because he's not getting enough points. He only really got points in the first part of the season and agasint CLE.
  8. Realism is a path seldom taken by the talking heads of this (lack of) organization... Glad to see Briggs is using it.
  9. Hopefully gonads will come with the next regime...
  10. I could care less that he was an athlete or not... Sad when any man that age who was getting his life on track perishes.
  11. Although he'd probably at least have started and contributed!
  12. I'm not sure I really want it, but oddly I'm feeling upset here. Do the planets align?
  13. That solves that.... Thanks for the update!
  14. I hear ya. I actually feel similarly.
  15. My preference would be to let JA go!
  16. Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.
  17. I was trying to be funny! Apparently unsuccessfully so! Agreed, probably not worth the risk...but maybe if we get the likes of a Cowher...it may be someone that can actually mentor and help.
  18. Just curious, as I've been following the thread...what is your ultimate point? Is it that Orton is a better QB than Cutler?
  19. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery. I'd be pissed off too if I had to live in St. Louis!
  20. Sold! We should definitley get him then!
  21. To play a moderate amount of Devil's Advocate... I don't recall Cutler doing those things in Denver. I don't recall hiom throwing off his back foot. Yet, all of a sudden, when given Chicago's tour de force of coaches, he regresses and starts similar things to what Rex did. Seriously, is the staff teaching that? I'm sure they're not...but dang. Something is not right with this staff. Just giving it an eyeball test... Orton is doing better than expected, and Cutler is doing worse than expected. That simple test says that something is wrong in Chicago. We know there's more to it, like Denver becomeing solid on D, having a better OL, having MUCH better WR's...etc. But, I think it also infers inpetness in preparation. If I'm wrong, and Cutler was prone to throwing off the back foot in Denver, please let me know. I just didn't watch much of Cutler last year.
  22. Very tempted... Besides being crazy...is there any other downfall?
