  1. The D will be on the field for 59 minutes a game...
  2. $55-63 at Costco! (Lagavulin) http://scotchnoob.com/2010/11/12/lagavulin...ar-single-malt/ Yeah...it's a hard time seeing any strategy other than hoping to strike it rich in the draft. If that happens, then I'll be tickled pink. They seem to be wanting to stockpile loot for next season.
  3. Sadly, there's a big air mattress at the bottom. So, up I go the ladder once again to do this all over again next year...
  4. I really know very little of him. Thank for shedding some more light on him. Seems harmless and at least better than Paulsen...
  5. amen... I have lost virtually all faith in Pace as being able to handle free agency. I suppose there's still a chance he can draft well. Which, ultimately is better. But, I'm soured big time. Just for PR...they needed to make a splash.
  6. I have a sneaky suspicion that house cleaning part 4 will happen (post '85 - after wanny/graves, jauron/hatley, smith/angelo, trestman/emery...then pace/fox)...maybe the 6th time's the charm...
  7. Color me unexcited... Seems slow and little production. Is he just a blocking TE?
  8. I know...my brain agrees. But my heart aches...
  9. Sorry, I need to vent a bit before I'm talked off the ledge!
  10. Dammit this is truly a disappointing day so far...
  11. We look to be the #1 pick in 2018's draft so far!
  12. Desean and Garcon gone... This is turning into a $hit show fast. I'm not just unimpressed. I'm getting mad. I drank half my Scotch celebrating kicking Cutler to the curb. I may need the other half to dull the pain of another future wasted season...
  13. They are taking our scraps like no tomorrow! They even signed Paulsen!
  14. I'm already halfway through my bottle of Lagavulin 16... With a big grin... At the end, he was just another guy.
  15. I too am very disappointed w/ no Gilmore... That to me is a big fail. We'll see what happens, but that's glaring. Glennon, Hoyer. etc...doesn't matter. A young secondary non-pick up for only cash, which we have a ton of space...is a fail. We'll see... I won't judge until the actual draft is over...but so far...so unimpressive considering where we were and where we need to be.
  16. I'd rather have someone younger...but this is clearly a band aid/ stop gap while we draft and groom someone from this class.
  17. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/...5-million-deal/ Report: Bears, Mike Glennon to sign three-year, $43.5 million deal Posted by Michael David Smith on March 9, 2017, 7:37 AM EST Getty Images The Bears and Mike Glennon appear to be on the verge of a deal that will make Glennon the team’s starting quarterback, at a salary that sounds like a lot but is lower than most starting quarterbacks make. Glennon is expected to get a three-year deal with an annual average of $14.5 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. That puts Glennon’s total deal at $43.5 million, although there’s no word on how much of that is guaranteed and no other details about the structure of the contract. That’s right in the range of what has been expected for Glennon, and the avearge of $14.5 million puts him at 23rd in the NFL among quarterbacks, below Andy Dalton’s $16 million but well above Robert Griffin III’s $7.5 million. Glennon is expected to start for the Bears at first, but the team would also likely draft a quarterback. If the Bears use the third overall pick in the draft on a quarterback, that means Glennon will just be a stopgap starter and that the high pick will be the quarterback of the future. But for now, anyway, Glennon is getting paid in Chicago.
  18. Chicago ain't a blues town for no reason!
  19. Could it be health? Hoyer hissed chunks of 2013, 2015 and 2016... Could be the Glennon move is simply due to a more reliable guy to actually be on the field. I'm going to imagine it would play out that Glennon is pencilled in as the starter . It would be his job to lose. If the others look much better...like Russell Wilson v Matt Flynn...then they would do similar. Again, I'm only speculating.
  20. Also means they might draft QB 2nd...
  21. x- None of the above... I think Glennon appears to be set. Assuming that, my hope is Glennon is the starter this year, we draft a potential future QB in the higher rounds and sit and groom him for a year. If Glennon lights it up, then well HOT DAMN! We got stupid lucky. Then we hold the other QB and wait for offers... If not, we start the new QB the season after.
  22. I'm not checking that out...way too many racist comment on that site from just a quick glance. I do understand many not liking him though. I had him in fantasy... But...sometimes guys don't come into their own after a few years and with the right situation. Not saying we're it...but I'm just not opposed to paying some loot to get him and drafting a prospect to hedge the bet.
