I'm with you...and I think Joe Jurevicius would be a great addition for probably a bargain. He's a good portion why TB won that SB against the Chokeland Faders. Oh yeah, and he's Lithuanian too! More appropriately pronounced "YUR-EH-VIH-CHUS" by the Lith's...

Sounds good! Would you be in theory looking for posters to pick a guy per se, and then do the bio like your Stafford Example? Maybe have something close to a sign up sheet?
-
I second (or it fifth?) that! No liquor reference intended....

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE!
-
Maybe he goes w/ 14?

I also like #59 as the next Chico? Seems appropriate!

The draftees will wear the following numbers, though some likely will change before the regular season: DL Jarron Gilbert (73), WR Juaquin Iglesias (17), DE Henry Melton (69), CB D.J. Moore (30), WR Johnny Knox (13), LB Marcus Freeman (58), S Al Afalava (46), G Lance Louis (60) and WR Derek Kinder (83). Undrafted free agents will wear the following numbers: FB Will Ta’ufo’ou (45o), S Dahna Deleston (45d), CB Woodny Turenne (47), RB Tyrell Fenroy (48), LB Mike Rivera (59), G Johan Asiata (62o), LB Kevin Malast (62d), G Dennis Conley (70) and WR Eric Peterman (86). ...told ya Freeman looked like Marshall and Afalava like Plank!

Jarron Gilbert = Steve McMichael. Tough, quick can get to the QB and stuff the run Juaquin Iglesias = Jeff Graham. Great possession guy. Henry Melton = Trace Armstrong, great hustle...should be able to get to the QB and cause havok. DJ Moore = Donnell Woolford, great intncts Johnney Knox = Willie Gault, but with better hands! Marcus Freeman = Wilbur Marshall. Relentless, Terminator-like! Al Afalava = Doug Plank. He'll put the big hit on any opponet! Lance Louis = Bronko Nagurski. Convert to a FB, and he will just punish D linemen and open holes biger than Emmit Smith ever saw! Derek Kinder = Tom Waddle. Dude will just catch the big plays and take a hit! OK, I'll put the kool-aid away....

I only think one person knows that...

Like I mentioned, he'd probably light it up for maybe 8 games, and I really would be concerned about a game in that stretch...but down the road, he'll start tanking. If I recall correctly, I thought he was also due for some surgery if he intended to play this season. Sure, he makes Minny better. But, we're better too. And if it happens, I would still relish the chance to take it to him 2 more times!
-
I read a few posts on the internet from PFT, and the Trib about Favre being released by the Jets. And therefore some of these writers are speculating he'll land in Minny next. 1. I do not think he'll un-retire yet again. 2. If he does, I relish the thought! I'd love 2 more chances to send him into permanant retirement! He proved last year he can no longer be effective for a full season. While he may light things up for 8 weeks, he'll falter down the stretch. I'll take Cutler any day over that over-the-hill, over-rated Wrangler peddling bum! PS - If he does un-retire, do we assume so will Madden?

I hear ya. I think the bottom line is that mcKie gets sent packing and one of these young guys steps in and steps it up! Thanks for the info on the QB's...I really haave no info on them.

I fully agree... Jurevicius is a class act too.
-
I think we're basically on the same page!

I agree. I think Santa brought the kids a lot of new toys, and if they can't have fun with them, Santa will bring in some new kids to play with 'em. Or at least, I hope so.
-
Actually, it's probably preferred! The expectation would otherwise be ruined!

Haaaa!!!! I suppose that's one area the California colleges have an upper hand!

Or, just a......

I'm impressed. Some good pancakes in there...

Wow! Dude has some guns! Makes Thomas Jones looke like Eric Foreman!

Agreed. I' head on NFL network post draftr commentary that they said our division as a whole drafted best. Dammit.
-
I'd say defense has the highest probability of success. One would think it would be Gilbert but it may be Moore. If harris is hurt ot the D-line struggles, Gilbert will be more opportunities. If the secondary struggles, Moore will. I'll go with Gilbert though since he was the highest pick.

Ok, if this "bromance" with JA gets any tighter, we may need to have an intervention! I pretty felt the same. Given Cutler, everything else seems like free dessert with the meal. Gilbert - I was a bit surprised at first, but then it started to make sense. It didn't seem like a reach. We tend to have better luck on D drafting. And, this guy could be an amazing toy for Marinelli to play with! (I think this somewhot puts credence to my thought that JA is giving Angelo everything in the world he can, and is basically saying, make it happen or hit the road. You'll see numerous other picks follow that theory a bit...) Iglesias - I really know nothing of him, but based on your comments and his size, I think it looks great. And not remotely a reach. Melton - I pretty much agree. This one seemed like a reach. Maybe JA sees something, or the raw talent is just ridiculous. I hope this works out, but to me, this is the Bazuin pic of the year. DJ Moore - OK, I like this one. he's small, but he seems like a football player. A freind of mine who's a NE fan, desperately wanted this guy. Could stop talking about him all day long. Said that we got a gem and don't realise it. I hope he's right. Knox - I knew nothing of this kid, but everything I've read makes me thing it's a good flyer pick! Maybe he can spell hester returning...maybe he can be little pain in the butt for someone's D to cover and catch! I'm not expecting much, but maybe we'll all be pleasantly surprised. Freeman - LOVE it!!! An OSU aumni at my office pretty much said he's extremely under-rated...and will end up being a solid contributor for us for many years. I like his motor from what I've seen. And now, I find out that Laurinaitis will now be a bust, and this guys was really the heart of the D! Well, not really, but that's how I'm approaching it now! Afalava - I have no bloody idea about this one. I tend to agree with you that it appears to be a wasted pick or ST slot. I guess we'll see. But I'm not thrilled. Louis - Seems good. Converting him to a FB would send me into bliss! Not sure the team will do that. Seems to me they are trying to find a good replacement for Dez Clark... Kinder - I totally agree and love it! This could be a huge steal! I basically am in agreement with you overall. I'm not as much down on Afalava, but do think Melton was a bit of a reach. If draft this were like Spinal Tap, and counting Cutler...it definitely goes to 11!
