  1. Sadly not new news... Virginia McCaskey seems like an absolutely wonderful person. But not a great business owner... Especially in sports. Her apples seem to not fall far from the tree... It's a trickle down business...and it starts at the tippy top. ...and still no honey bears! (couldn't resist)
  2. Thanks for the fix. I took the generic front page instead of the story link... Of course just another season where a Packer cheap shots a Bears QB to knock him out for a season... (see Martin against McMahon) This is why t I hate the Packers so. Not because they are good. It's because they are cheap shot artists that get the officiating love the NFL can pay for...

  4. And gives another year to hopefully see what White and Meredith can bring to the table...

    Trubisky

I like the name...seems like he should be Chicago bound!
  6. There goes the high draft pick... He'll win just enough games to get us out of a good spot!
  7. Take our lumps. Put him on IR and hope the karma gods swing the pendulum in our favor next season.
  8. http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/...er-room-dispute Jets stars Brandon Marshall, Sheldon Richardson had locker-room dispute 32mRich Cimini Rich Cimini ESPN Staff Writer FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- If the New York Jets' season continues to crumble, they may look back at the Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs as the turning point. It was the start of their current losing streak and the beginning of Ryan Fitzpatrick's collapse. And the frustration of that defeat erupted in the post-game locker room. Brandon Marshall and Sheldon Richardson, two of the team's biggest stars, engaged in a heated verbal altercation after the game, ESPN.com has learned. It wasn't physical, according to coach Todd Bowles and Marshall, but it evidently concerned Bowles in the moment because he discussed it immediately with the team. "I took care of it right there," Bowles told ESPN.com on Thursday. "I addressed the team and I addressed the two guys. It will not happen again." Brandon Marshall said of his spat with Sheldon Richardson: "There are moments in teams where you push each other and there's tension and the best teams find a way through it." Tom Szczerbowski/Getty Images Bowles said of the dispute, "I was right there, I heard it. It was loud. Yell down there, yell down here. It was no more than a normal training-camp deal. It wasn't anything significant." The coach said, "There were a bunch of people who had words because everybody was pissed off." This will be one of the team's challenges as they play out the season. The Jets (1-5) have lost four straight and tensions will rise if the losses continue to mount. It happens often in losing locker rooms. Marshall downplayed the incident, saying it was just a disagreement between "two Alpha males ... two bulls." He said he cleared the air the next day with Richardson. Bowles noted that Richardson was the first player to congratulate Marshall when he scored the following week. "It was problem solving, starting off the season really bad," Marshall told ESPN.com. "You guys understand how emotional and how intense the game is. When you come in the locker room after a loss like that and you’re looking at each other, trying to problem-solve, it may not always be the right time. Sometimes you have to give it a day or so for everyone to calm down and cool off and say, 'OK, what do we need to do to solve it?" The defense played reasonably well in the 24-3 loss to the Chiefs, but the Jets were undermined by Fitzpatrick's turnovers. He threw six interceptions, including a pick-6. Fitzpatrick never recovered from the nightmarish performance and was benched this week in favor of Geno Smith. The genesis of the altercation wasn't an offense versus defense situation, according to Marshall, who said it was rooted in general frustration. "Obviously, we had high expectations coming into this year. We still do," Marshall said. "It was not only a frustrating game, but a frustrating start for us. There are moments in teams where you push each other and there’s tension and the best teams find a way through it. You look at Seattle and Richard Sherman this weekend. It's part of the game, the frustration – wanting to win and figuring out a way how to win and communicating with each other the right way." Marshall was referring to Sherman's sideline tirade with teammates and coaches in the Seahawks' win over the Atlanta Falcons. Richardson couldn't be reached for comment. He wasn't at the facility on Thursday, as he was excused for a personal reason. "There were no residual effects, no physicality," Bowles said of the Marshall-Richardson argument. "After the game, everybody was pissed off and you throw stuff. They should be pissed off, but not at each other. It was just one of those things." Maybe so, but they've yet to win a game since.
  9. DESTROY RODGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. OK. All I want out of this game is an Erin Rodgers beat down... I want Willie to go fishin' about 5-6 times, and want to see Travathan and Freeman combine on a legitimate by the books pinball hit that knocks him out of the game. Please Santa...
  11. I enjoyed reading your assessment. Well thought out...
  12. Truly baffling why Howard was not used that often. He's not a home run runner. He beats you down, and over the course of the game, he started getting chunks. I really have no faith in our coaching staff at this moment. I'm still unsure about Pace... But, he's not the one coming out of halftimes to get absolutely pummeled on a weekly basis.
  13. agreed However, that said...I'm starting to really question the coaching staff. Both OC and DC. I'm just not seeing a plan that uts us in a good position to succeed. We need to run and play pressure D. We give up long 3rd downs like they're coupons.
  14. Hoyer is the perfect back-up or guy to put out while you groom the future. He won't lose games, but he won't win them either. It's paramount that we run a lot and play good D. Both those things, we aren't. My biggest disaapointment in all honesty is Fangio. I know he's missing pieces...but I'm just not seeing much that he's doing to put his guys in position to succeed but only a a few times you can count on one hand.
  15. Thanks for posting. Class acts indeed.
  16. I warned my Baltimore friends of him...
  17. I have no idea... All I know is we are not sending enough guys... This is largely due to the 4 we are sending right now are not studly enough. Maybe onve we get some of the injured back, that could change. But it seemed like when we brought a blitz...it worked. When we didn't, Luck read "War & Peace" back there before hitting Hilton for a huge gain every time.
  18. I tend to agree... Liked a lot of what I saw. The bad, looks fixable...especially since much has to do with a boat ton of starters being out...
  19. ...my blame goes on sloppy play. Too many penalties.
  20. Great patience on setting up his blocks too... Also, saw some really solid blocking by him as well.
  21. that sucks... Hopefully he can make it back later this season
  22. Nice! Did you get to talk to Rosie?
