  1. Traditionally, aren't DE's supposed to get more sacks than DT's?
  2. If that's what he beleives, I believe we will see a new GM soon... I moreso, I hope...
  3. Odd indeed. Too much still needs to play out in FA before we take any mocks really seriously from slots 10 down...
  4. Interesting... I guess Mark Twain was right! There are lies, damn lies, and statistics... Although, as nfo mentioned, it does give some hope that Hester can develop into something decent to very good...

    Too early! But I'll venture a prediction.... 9-7 I'll less generous away. I see another loss to the Packers and to the Falcons. HOME AWAY Cardinals=L 49ers =W Rams=W Seahawks =W Browns=W Ravens=L Steelers =L Bengals=W Packers=W Packers= L Vikings =W Vikings =L Lions=W Lions =W Eagles=L Falcons=L
  6. Wow... Who does he have us picking? maclin?
  7. I would tooo... But only because I drank so much celebrating! He'll be gone before us I'm sure though...
  8. I think, as much as I want O...specifically an OL or WR (maybe QB depending)...I fear JA picking. Seems to me we have better odds of success w/ D. When JA and Smith get canned next year, at least we'll have one more good D player on roster!
  9. You are right! My gut told me it was D, but when I thought about it more, the only D guys he drafted in R1 were Harris and Haynes... I don't think Terrell was his pick in 2001, but I can't recall the timing. If it is indeed O, I hope it's OL this year... I'd settle for a good WR or QB if they fell to us though.
  10. Nothing would shock me! But for some reason, NE stockpiles old guys...
  11. The differnece is not enormous by any means. #1 has a YPC of 16.0 #2 has a TPC of 13.6 That's a difference of 2.4. It's not enough. Both are getting over 10 YPC, which states that when they get the ball it's a first. #2, however, has more TD's. However, TD's is different. #1 catches a TD every 21.3 touches. Whereas #2 catches a TD every 14.2 touches. I'd rather have #2 all else being equal. But I still figure this being a trick question...
  12. Oher... However, I'm still holding on to a glimmer of hope for Laurinaitis if he falls to us.
  13. NE seems to be the land of forgotten Bears! I know Rosie Covlin got a ring there, and I think didn't Big Ted Washington? I see Belichick being able to use Brown sparringly, and play him hard in the playoffs. he knows how to utilize players. He's kept old guys around all his career from Junior to Harrison. Borwn doesn't need to find a great market in all honesty, just a better one with a better chance of getting a ring. I don't want to see it, but I fear it will happen. I joke about Pro Bowl...but only a bit. What if he stays healthy? With a real D, DC and HC, he could thrive... I woudn't bet on it, but nor would it shock me. Who here thought he'd make it 15 games? I think the only way he stays with the Bears is if he gets some gentleman's agreement that he will be in the fold after he retires.
  14. I'm sure it's a trick question! The total yards aren't that different. The number of receptions aren't wildly different either. All else being equal I go for production...who's getting the TD's...
  15. Is Wale willing to re-do his contract then? Regardless, point well made and at least he's not asking for more...
  16. Mike Brown will be SB and Pro Bowl bound in NE if we don't resign him!
  17. Don't you think it'd be too cold for a library seat?
  18. I agree 100%. Years of seeing what we've seen have made me as such as well. I think the D will be better by default as well. Anyone coordinating over Babich should be an improvement. How good, we'll see. Does the O continue to be OK? It will be interesting to see how it pans out. Unlike seasons past, I'm not very versed in this years' college crop of players. Not to mention, we're in a no man's land are far as slot and have so many needs, I refuse to get attached to one or 2 guys and hope and hope. It'll just be time to fire up the grill, knock a few brews down and hope we get more like Forte...
