    Vick?

Would he be something to look into? Granted, his crimes were bad. But, he did serve his time...and we tend to be a forgiving nation. Would Vick be of interest to us? Back-up Kyle? Not sure how I feel, but on some level, I have interest. I hated what the guy did, but if he served his time, etc... I know leopards tend not to change their spots, but jail time is one thing that can sometimes make a difference for some.
  2. I fear Angelo paying for Kurt Warner... Who, without the WR talent, is a waste. And could hit the age wall fast...
  3. I hope Teddy the numbers boy follows your logic!
  4. I couldn't agree more! Smith is safe for 2 more years. He's been a mastermind of convincing the powers that be that they are only minor steps away...whereas the reailty is they are leaps and bounds away from truly being great. Meandering though inept opponents in the worst division in the NFL is not something to rest your laruels on... Last year it was injuries, this year it was players not getting it done, what excuse will this year be? I eagerly await the clean house in 2 years...
  5. That stmt sums it up! Reactive...never proactive. And usually the reaction is years after the problem surfaces...
  6. It has been eerily similar... I honestly don't know. I imagine the huge money paid to Smith makes kicking him to the curb difficult...but I thought JA has the balls to do it. I really don't think he does. I get the feeling of a lot of hot air. Even all his stmts regarding QB, Urlacher...etc. I think it's all smokescreen. This team has not been honest in the media. I see no reason to think they are being up-front now. It's really confusing. We are SO behind Rex damn the torpedoes missing out on guys like Warner,etc...but now, after a pretty decent season, Orton is on the hot-seat? Not that he shouldn't be...but where was that when Rex was killing us year after year? Politics would be perfect for those 3... However, I'm still awaiting the nude pictures to come out. They all seem to have something on one another! Maybe it's just slobber on thier bottoms from all the ass kissing!
  7. Still had me laughing nonetheless!
  8. News on the Score was that the Pats have placed the franchise tag on Cassell. So, one potential option is off the board.
  9. I understand. I mind it, but I'm expecting it. I fear he'd still get one more year.
  10. Dude, I feel the piss & vinegar coming from your statements! But, I nearly passed out laughing on the Pappy Yokems comment! I'm not exactly sure what ti means, but it sounds darn funny! That made my day! As Kenny Rodgers said, you gotta know when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em. I think it's time to fold on Smith... Others want to hold. We'll see how it plays out... Friends from Pitt have stated that rumors had that Cowher wanted the Bears job if open... I'm just going to ponder that one a while and sulk...
  11. Nfo, no apology is needed by any Bears fan who wants to rant after this season! Heck, I've been doing it all season long! You're seriously right. This lack of statement is mind boggling. I think JA needs to make some incredible splash somewhere...or his next splash will be at a pool in his (forced) reitrement home.
  12. nfo, Exactly! And if ALL these players aren't performing...then what? If this was a military unit, you'd see a new drill sgt...not the entire platoon sent home packing because they didn't perform. Basically saying, the coaches have to get the players ready to perform, and if they don't...that too is a failure of the coaches. Especially given what we know of the D from just a few years ago with virtually the same personnell.
  13. ...and one answer... It's called poor scheming. Thus, the coaches fault.
  14. Agreed basically... If Smith goes in 2 years, so does JA... It's a complete re-boot. If Angelo wants to keep his job after 2 years from now...Smith needs to be fired now.
  15. Just because a guy was interviewing for a HC job doesn't mean he didn't like Chicago... Buddy Ryan did the same. Any coordinator that wants to be HC would take those opportunities. I disagree on your talent of SD v Chicago. I think the Bears actually have more talent...and we're doing far less with it!
  16. 2 more years of Smith... Keeping Babich gives him a scapegoat for next season...
  17. Dang! Agreed! I say give it to Alex Brown!
  18. 1. True. But they did better than I thought they would... 2. OK, feel free to disregard them. I will not. Veterans can pose problems, and who exactly expected old man Kerry Collins to do well? Someone always comes out of nowhere. 3. They have been, and they'll probably get bounced fast in the playoffs. It doesn't make playing them easy. Especially when our pass d is so horrid. Warenr still puts up yards and on any given Sunday, and destroy you. 4. Could be...could be they all stay and get to the playoffs. In this league going from bad to good isn't a pipedream. All I'm saying is there are no guarantees we have an easy schedule. Assume the worst, hope for the best. Until I see more, I expect those 4 teams to turn things around and be pains in the butt next year. Doesn't mean we can't beat them. It just means they won't be gimme games like everyone thought Houston would be.
  19. Honestly, until the playoffs play out...you can't sepculate. What if he leads the team to a SB win? The Giants did basically just that last season...
  20. Yikes! Are we to become the land of the washed up Ram?
