  1. No arguement here... We need to make a big name signing...not this BS we've been fed the last 2 seasons that everything's in-house...
  2. Too little, almost too late. Why was this not done before the game started? But, I'll still take it...
  3. Great post! However, you're too generous on the coaching grade! As bad as the O was, the D was not much better! Constantly giving up 1st on 3rd and long is just horriffic. Also, playing the DB's so far off WR's constantly is an issue. I think O = F D = D ST = A Maybe that does average out to a C...but if only for ST.
  4. Don't fool yourself...Lovie get 2 more year because of this. Now he doesn't have to fire Babich. So next year, he can, and then the year after, he can get fired.
  5. Agreed! 'And why can continualy pick up 1st downs on 3rd and longs! That is assinine! Babich only rushes 4 and hopes to get it done...then the QB has all day to find the open guy. ONly when we blitz do you see pressure and mistakes. Top that off with the isistance of running up the gut. All NITE long! When Forte hits the outside...big gains! Then back to up the middle for 1-2 yard gains. And Kyle is not the franchise QB. TOo many big errors in a big game. I like him a lot as my #2, but I do not see him as a #1.
  6. Agreed. Even ith the win, I'm fuming at Smith for not having this eam ready to play the most important game of the year...
  7. Certainly a HUGE improvment over what's currently in place...
  8. I prefer to win the division... But I'll take any way we can get in.
  9. LET'S GO BEARS! KICK SOME PACKER BUTT!!!
  10. Must have something to do with that old Bears D coordinator...
  11. Thank you Wesson44! May you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and rockin' New Year!
  12. I agree that they aren't lighting it up...but they do all appear to be dong better than they did here...even with some suspect QB's... Our problem is developing offensive talent... There are exceptions, but overall, it just doesn't seem like our current management does a good enough job of that.
  13. Great analysis BearSox! I'm sold!
  14. It is a different situation...Cassell has the advantage on playing on a team with good players around him, good coaches and good mgmt. Anderson didn't. Cassell would probably continue to thrive in that environment. But him in ours, and I don't think he thrives. Also, who's really to say if Cassell isn't just good because he's on THAT team? Anderson struck lightning last year, and could only stirke a sleeping sloth this season... Before out-laying an astronomical was of loot for him, I'd prefer to see more... Is Orton the answer? I guess, what is the question exactly? Franchise? I don't think so, but he's a fantastic stop gap between now and when we eventually groom a real replacement to start in 2 years. But he need that guy on roster now... Maybe it's Hanie, but I want to draft one to compete with Hanie for that eventual role.
  15. I'm an Atlanta fan this weekend for sure! Turner the burner, get it done! Thanks for clarifying...have fun at the game! Bring a win home!
  16. I assume you're referencing the better than expected record. Because I also think with better coaches, we win those games we choked away earlier this year.
  17. I generally agree. No FA QB. I'd still be tempted by McNabb depending on offer and how Kyle finishes out... But all else equal, we keep Kyle and draft a QB to compete w/ Hanie for eventual successor.
  18. To clarify, because I think I may need a nuclear physics degree to figure this out... If any of that doesn't happen, we still have a shot? All those games could go either way when to take in consideration teams playing for a playoff spot, or playing spoil sport.
