It's so off-putting! I swear I almost hope for 3rd and 3...because we have a better chance of stopping it!
-
Yep. I am not a fan of Smith's system either. In fact, I despise it.
-
Not fitting into Smith's mold... That seems to be a serious issue with making bad decisions. I think Smith's mold, is moldy!
-
It is simple! The coaching is bad!

Almost doesn't count...

There are limits! The ends don't justify the means!

No thank you. I'm not high on WR"s to begin with, especially ones that leave a mess after a hurricane. SF hasn't recovered, and Philly looks a shell of themselves. He is getting older and he still doesn't seem to get it. While it would be intruiging, it's not a move we should do. We'd have to give up too much for a guy who's use is only maybe 2 years before he throws all the Bears' players under the bus. If we were truly only one WR away from the SB, I'd think about it. We have too many needs to put that cancer on our team. I'd much rather go after Boldin... Even better TJ, since we wouldn't have to lose a pick.

I love you optimism Pix! I still think this team needs to play on like it matters. Win out and let the cards fall where they may... If we go, then hopefully a few miracles can happen. If not, build on what we did and fire coaches like it's going out of style... No one really looks truly unbeatable, but PIT seems to figure out how to win even when playing lousy. That kind of team scares me...

...or a few better coaches.

1. I could not agree more. When I watch a game and sit there calling our plays verbatem before each snap...I assume the ooposition's D coordinator is doing the same. (unless that coodrdinator were a Babich) We are predictable. Once in a blue moon, Turner has his moments of brilliance. But it's not the opposite where once in a while he has brainfarts... 2. I think the injury does have an impact. For a guy that's not athletic perse, that kind of injury impacts all your movements. I think it plays a factor. While I'm not thrilled about Kyle's performances since the injury...I still think he's the best we've had in a while. And given improvements on the OL and with the WR crops, I htink he can be quite servicable while we groom a young stud. So, I'm in partial agreement. We need to draft a legit QB high and start grooming him to compete w/ Orton. One thing we've learned is that when we pay our guys, they don't like playing hard... 3. Totally agree. I feel we're settling. Yep, it's better than a kick in the balls. But I too want more. This is much better than I thought we'd do. But I did not figure Forte to be that much of a positive impact. With that said, we should be doing better...and our D should not be doing this badly. Unlike our coaching staff, I reserve the right to "adjust" my opinion in mid-season based on what's transpired...

Olin has stated in the press that the count was on 2, and he mistakenly snapped it on 1. That's on Olin.

Hmmm. I don't recall mugging a receiver in the end zone... Care to elaborate?

1. Agreed. I have a friend that's a huge SF fan (poor guy...), that was saying he was really good and didn't get a fair shake in SF. He thought he'd be a perfect fit in Chicago. I think he's right... Dusty is dust... 2. Agreed. I don't think he's top tier by any means, but as a nickel, he's starting to get it. Now that the staff isn't playing musical position with the guy, he seems to be getting more and more confortable each week. 3. Yep. Can we not move Brown to SS, keep Payne as back-up, and move Peanut to FS? 4. Yeah, the one year experiment is over... Test is negative. We needs TJ or similar and someone in the draft with the top 3 picks. Or, hey, what about the kid we already have? 5. Bingo! Good as Gould! 6. Yes! A few of us have been screaming that "go" routes must be run by Hester on a fairly consistent basis! Uh, coaching staff...please utilize the talents of your players, don't fit square pegs in round holes please... 7. Heck, every starting DE in the NFL loves back-up tackles! 8. He did play one of his better games. However, it wasn't phenomenal. He did lose his pants on the P. Thomas mega-run... I still expect far more. Even with bad scheming.

Noots' Notes Game 14: 27-24 Win over New Orleans in OT

Lighten up Francis. Just weeks ago, you were in a tizzy that no one gave Rex props for running in a TD. Orton does the same, and you can't see the similarities? Kyle's run in the end zone was actually far more impressive... He also threw 2 catchable balls where PI should have been thrown. One was, one wasn't. -
Very true! Logically, it is what it is...but when it hits your team, all of a sudden, conspiracy sounds good!
-
ARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! My blood pressure just sky-rocketed! Turner is too smart for his own good... Or he thinks he is.
-
He needs to be jolly-stomped.
-
Sounds reasonable to me...
-
Too bad, so sad.

Isn't there a middle ground? Why does it have to be all or nothing? You run on 1st. If you get 6-7 yards, you run again. If not, you play-action, then on 3rd you pass again. Something. Other than 3 cruddy passes.
-
The only logicaly thought is they were afraid to over-run Forte... But I simply think the staff was trying to be tricky for tricky's sake yet again...

Tuner is FAR too inconsitent to really be considered legit. Half of games don't count... Full games called count. Almost any coordinator can look like a genius for 1/2 a game. Good ones, call good full games. -

Daivs over Bennett is so beyond mind-boggling, I'm at a loss...
