True...but he was the one fumbling the ball for a TD. He deserves grief too, but not nearly to the extent our offensive defense does.

Great post! I just disagree on Smith. Fired! He keeps doing the same things over and over expecting different results. = insanity. Needs to go. Other Coaches who got their teams to SB's and were canned... Dan Reeves, Mike Martz, etc...Just getting there isn't good enough. Again, resting on laurels that no longer exist. He will be around mind you due to his new contract and the cheapness of the Bears, but I would fire him if I ran the circus.

I know BEARSDABOMB, Butkus, and a few other posters have touched on this... But it looks painfully obvious that this Bears team under Smith (and Angelo) seem to rest on their laurels. THey are all going about saying they are better than what we saw, that they are vets,yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line, that was then, this is now...and this is now started last season. This D is bad. Not even medicore. Bad. Only Mike Brown seems man enough to admit to such.

Yep... My buddy and I had a caht this morning about the loss... We both came to the conclusion that this coaching staff comes up with their season-long game plans in training camp. Then they go with it damn the torpedoes. It's going to be a long couple of years.

The Hester experiment should be over. By trying to make him a WR, they've ruined him at PR/KR. Time to call it a bad idea...give him a rest at WR, and just put him as a return man. Maybe even give him a full week off to ponder the change.

I kind of thought that as well... However, I foresee a slight upgrade...and just enough to make Smith keep his job until his contract runs out. There's a chance ownership can cut ties with one year left, but I just don't see it.

I get a sense Alex Brown cares from his interviews...but I'm not seeing it on the field.

1. THis line sucks. Dusty sucked. But, I still don't think Tank is the reason. Tank probably would ahve been pushed back too... And even if he weren't, then he'd have been double teamed and the same results would have ensued. 2. Not sure many here were thinking Roach is the end all be all. None of the LB's looked good yesterday. Even Briggs. He had a lot of missed tackles. But, I agree that he and Url aren't being used correctly. 3. Agreed. Brown played with heart. He made some errors or maybe was put in position to miss... But, he manned up. I like what I was seeing earlier from him, and he had a few good hits...but he is not the answer. It's disappointing. It's time to give Steltz a chance. 4. Our DB's suck due to scheme and play. 5. Definitley poor yesterday... COACHING is the worst of it... Agreed. Angelo...I couldn't agree more. Yeah, but if you have SB's on your TE's...wouldn't that men the outside is available instead of funneling it to the LB's in the middle? But , yeah...it was a total failure all around other than Forte's heart and effort.

He's done better sure.. But what's with all the up the gut runs? Seems to me on sweeps or as least runs going to the outside, we get more yards.
