  1. Agreed...it's just too early to tell who will be good/bad...
  2. Yeah, I'm sure injuries do play a factor, but I don't believe it's the main cause. I'd love to know what some NFL staffer feel about Babich too! I just hope we turn this around and have a squad that can make this town proud! Sooner than later!
  3. Seems good... Thanks for all the "behind the scenes" work fellas!
  4. I thought you had a restraining order against CrackerDog?
  5. I think to a large extent, all of us are throwing our hands in the air wondering what has happened to this D. It seems the one common denominator is the coordinator. When Rivera was here, we were close to the top, ever since, we've been closer to the cellar. I just look at the talent pool and think that pound for pound, or players are more than solid. Yet the results aren't. Sure you can blame players, but when you have what the Bears have, and are not getting results...I think the buck stops at the coach. I just have to imagine, if Bill Belichick had our personnell, we'd be ranked in the top 5. I like character guys too...but moreso on the field. I've know plenty of guys that would die for me in a scrap, but could keep their (explitive) out of any girl that moved and gave them the time of day. I don't get the feeling Urlacher is a jackass at practice and on the field. I feel generally the same about Briggs. I think both deserve the crap they get for their mistakes, but until I see another mess up, I'll give them some wiggle room. Neither got nailed for DUI's, neither got nabbed for roids or drugs, neither beat their spouses...one is just having a private custody battle go public and the other smashed his ride and bailed the scene (which you could contend logically that he may have been bombed). And I do admit, that I have greater issue with Briggs because of that. I have virtually no issue with Urlacher. I really was hoping we could trade Briggs a few years back and get something good. But, as long as he keeps his nose clean from here on out...I'm OK. I want character guys too... And if I ran the circus, like yourself, I would strive for that. However, I would not trade Urlacher as I don't see him as a character issue. Briggs, I could understand...but I'd still hold on him unless the deal was great for us.
  6. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater... Urlacher was hurt a bit last year...and the whole team virtually played like turds all year. This season, I really blame the scheme. Our vaunted D is predicated on line pressure and we are getting cirtually none. All positions from LB to SC to S suffer then. While his best days may be behing him, I still think he has some great days still ahead if given the correct scheme to play in. I really fault coaching...
  7. I follow you Chile. It will really help getting some of our guys back from the M*A*S*H* unit. I also fear the potential trap in this game as I did with Minny. I was really hoping the Lions would beat the Skins yesterday after taking an early lead. But, they did not. So they are still hungry for a win. We best come with our A game, and bring it. Hopefully, Lovie taught Babich some D 101 last week...
  8. Ha! Agreed! Man, I bet Mike was ready to strap on the pads and hit Davis himself!
  9. I truly do not believe McCain, Palin or the ovewhelming majority of Reps are racist. It does only take a few bad eggs to spoil the bunch. However, in the few instaces of these incidents, I think more of a point could have been stressed to call those comments beyond acceptable. I also don't think Pailn's sharp enough. She appeared to me so into her little speach, that Borat and his gigantic manager could have run past her naked and wrestling, and she wouldn't have noticed.
  10. Sorry for all the double posts! I was wondering what was up!

  12. I'm not sure what everyone was expecting...but I doubt miracles. That's a bad team. Even as bad as the Hawks are...they were due a win almost. And in a divisional game, I wasn't surprised in the least. Although I loved his rant after the game. At least he appears passionate! Good luck Mike! (except if/when you play us!)

  14. He's leading in tackles because the front 7 aren't doing their jobs... Don't get me wrong, I love the kid. But I don't see the rosey hue you do...

  19. They both want elements of socialism... Only one candidate railed agasint that and he got laughed out of the election...Ron Paul. There's also Bob Barr running ofr the Libertarian party, but he has no chance whatsoever... Other than that, they all want elements of it. Some more than others... But from a Libertarian perspective, McCain wants no more or no less than Obama.
  20. This is like Madden! Love it! 1. Urlacher and Olsen. I hate passing on Forte...but I feel as thought there are many backs that can have an impact. I still think Urlacehr is tops, and he's just being used poorly by Babich. 2. Peyton Manning and Polamalu. I'm with you on Polamalu...he almost should be a Bear! I just think pound for pound, dollar for dollar, year for year, Manning is the tops...
  21. Agreed... However, I could see some of those guys on staff...Line coaches, etc...
  22. I agree. Vasher was his most successful in the nickel...
