  1. I see him sticking to his guy...but I could be wrong if his job is in jeorpardy.
  2. How long do we wait? We gave him all of last year and through 7 games so far...I don't see much improvement. I'd give Hampton more credit than that. The guy's been around pro ball for a long time and I'm sure knows a hell of a lot. I've got to think he's got some connections and the rumormill grapevine probably has at least on branch that goes to Hampton's ear... Maybe not. But I'd tend to believe him over just "trusting" Lovie...
  3. C'mon Brian...you can't throw out the 400 pound elephant in the room (that you have connections with the team), and then not expect to get some questions. Are you saying Vashy could have played, didn't feel like it, Lovie was pissed, and therefore sent him home? If that's the case, then at least it's refreshing to see a drop of emotion in Smith...
  4. I'd keep him for a 5th...and not of the liqour variety! But, I'd certianly consider a 4th if his lack of production continues.
  5. He's definitley got a tough job there! I htink he'd be a fantastic HC... Really, he needs to just surround himself with good X's & O's guys on O & D, and be the motivator,etc... I think he'd excel in that kind of role. Give a general overall direction.
  6. 1. Yuck. I don't like that. It' shows zero adapability and imagination. It's not like this D is performing well doing that... 2. I miss Chico... 3. Hiss comments on Babitch are truly upsetting. Babitch has no reason to be coaching this defense other than nude pix of Lovie and JA... 4. Sad, but I'm starting to see more and more that Brown may be on his way down...
  7. chitownman, I couldn't agree more...
  8. Just read the same on PFT... Looks like he probably won't be with us anytime soon... Dang. We could use a good coordinator on D.
  9. Hey, as long as he's a Bears fan, we can get him treatment and get his life turned around!
  10. I celebrated all yesterday! Now I want some better answers on why our D is so miserable... It really concerns me.
  11. I think nfo's been clamoring for months on how this defensive staff doesn't allow for stunts,etc...just wide swinging attacks. I think that's coaching. The players have to play, but something tells me other coordinators would be salivating at the talent we have... (And on a side note, why are coaches putting Anderson in on running plays when we know he cannot stop the run?) I'm not sure the D finished the game as much as it was given to them by Frerotte. Those were awful throws... I do think you're right that the DB's did a great job all considered...but still on 4th and long's, we're sending no pressure only to allow a hack QB pick us apart with zero pressure. That, to me falls on the coaching. I aslo think you set the bar too low...our schemes should have been doing these things all along. Now that they are, I call it improvement, but not great. I also feel our changes come as reactionary, and not proactive... I think that will burn us in the long run. We can escape teams like Minny, but one we get on a really good team, we won't be given the charity of Frerotte... I guess for me, any time a team gives up 41 points, they don't deserve an A in coaching. I could justify a B...but an A is simply too generous!
  12. Better odds for the Chargers! But, unfortunate for the paying customers... At least you'll still see some marquee players like LT, Gates, Brees, Rivers, etc...
  13. Sorry, I'm an ignorant Los Angelino at the moment...who's Heidi Montag?
  14. They are good, and they will get some yards, but I do not remotely foresee what happened last Sunday to happen agasint us.
  15. Really? Seems to me the run D is about the only thing working on D. Yes, peterson broke a long run agasint us...but I think it was more fluke than not.
  16. Noots, Aren't you being generous with an A for coaching? Doesn't an A mean you get some modicom of D line pressure?
  17. I see a loss aginst NO for no logical reason...we just cannot beat the NFC south for some reason...
  18. 21 points is darn good. Not to mention, I felt that in the 3rd and 4th, Turner got conservative again... Also, let's not avoid the 2 big TD drops Booker had. That's 14 more points on the board...
  19. Probably a mix of both...which means it's time to dump it!
  20. Go Chargers! If the Saints win, we could be competing with them for a wild card!
