  1. From what I've heard, Larsen can play C... But to happen now than later. They can start working on cohesion. Could spell the end of Grasu as a Bear...

  3. I am a huge fan of White's from that perspective as well. I'm eagerly awaiting to be a fan of his HoF worthy upcoming career!
  4. agreed. But, White's Cutty comments are the best! https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/bears-wr-...-164557787.html Speaking to Sports Illustrated's Ben Baskin, White took exception to what Bennett had to say. "Jay Cutler is a good person," he said. "He wants to win. He's a good teammate and he cares a lot. He is not selfish at all. Any selfish quarterback would have told me to come back and play [at the end of the season], even at 75 percent. He's just a great guy. We need to clean Jay's name up. He has a bad rep for no reason and I don't like it. I came in and everyone was telling me, Jay's an asshole, you're going to hate Cutler. I was like, I want to get to know this dude first. And it's just not true at all. None of it. Jay is like the pretty girl that doesn't wear makeup and doesn't go out, so nobody really know that she's pretty."
  5. Me like FB! Camp fodder or not...I like old school fullbacks!
  6. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...d-willie-young/ Bears extend Willie Young Posted by Michael David Smith on July 30, 2016, 9:11 AM EDT Miami Dolphins v Chicago Bears Getty Images Bears pass rusher Willie Young will be sticking in Chicago for a few more years. Young and the Bears have agreed to a two-year extension through 2018, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports. Young had been entering the final season of the three-year contract he signed in 2014. The 30-year-old Young says he hopes to retire as a Bear. Last year Young led the Bears with 12 tackles for loss and was second on the Bears with 6.5 sacks. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 39 yards, and knocked down two passes. A 2010 seventh-round pick of the Lions, Young played four years in Detroit before leaving for Chicago in free agency. He had a career-high 10 sacks in 2014.
  7. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...r-hurting-calf/ Kyle Long in boot after hurting calf Posted by Josh Alper on July 28, 2016, 3:57 PM EDT CHICAGO, IL - DECEMBER 06: Kyle Long #75 of the Chicago Bears blocks Aaron Lynch #59 of the San Francisco 49ers in the first quarter at Soldier Field on December 6, 2015 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty Images) Getty Images Linebacker Leonard Floyd wasn’t the only Bears player who created an injury concern during Thursday’s opening practice of training camp. Right guard Kyle Long got hurt near the end of practice and there were multiple reports that he was in a walking boot after practice. The team is calling it a left calf injury. The general consensus among Bears reporters is that the injury is not a serious one, although Long will likely miss some practice time to help ensure that it doesn’t become a bigger issue at this early point in the schedule. The Bears have moved Long back to guard this year after he kicked outside to tackle in 2015. That move didn’t stop him from making his third Pro Bowl in as many professional seasons, but Long’s preference was to be on the interior. The Bears need him healthy at any position to get the most out of their offensive line, which will make it wise to be sure all is well with the calf before he returns to action.
  8. Per Lemming, he's just sick... Aaron Leming ‏@AaronLemingNFL 4m4 minutes ago #Bears fans can breath a sigh of relief. Leonard Floyd was sick.
  9. What miserable cowards! After we lost sending off Butkus...we didn't ask for a do-over! We took our lumps. Eat it GB!
  10. Ha ha! Puckers wittle feelies wuz hurted when da big bad Bears beat THEIR A$$ES ON THANKSGIVING last season! Gonna try again.... Go get 'em Cowboys! http://www.packers.com/news-and-events/art...bb?sf31217369=1
  11. THANK YOU PEANUT! You were and always will be a Bear to respect!
  12. No. The cap goes up every year. If we really want to tag him again, we can afford it. Or we can attempt to sign him again. Or we can let him walk.
  13. I like your take AZ. It's kind of difficult to think in terms of "surprising" since many of on here discuss every detail! For me I see the following: Rookie O: Whitehair - Seems like he has the potential to be NFL ready. I'm sure he'll struggle at times, but I'm going to hope he rocks it overall. Rookie D: I'm in on Bullard too for the same reasons you have. Vet O: Langford - I think he'll be better than some are expecting. Fox is a run guy, and with the move of Long to his best spot...I think Langford could be huge. Vet D: Fuller - I think a lot of people are writing him off, and I think the opposite will happen. With another year w/ Fangio and Donnatel...I think we'll see him improve. And one of the biggest reasons will be the better play of the DL and the LB crew.
  14. That possibility certainly looms around.
  15. I think all much ado about nothing until the deadline passes... This has been a posturing clusterf&*( since the get-go... And if nothing happens, let him play this year out and see how he performs...adjust accordingly.
  16. I think it's a Fox team. Therefore, running will be a priority no matter the OC. The playcallling on those 3rd and longs were a bit suspect overall. But I think they simply felt they didn't have the horsepower to pull it off to pass all the time. Ditka would do it all the time with Walter. But, he had Walter. I look at Gase doing a good job. Not great, not bad. Just good. I think with a better D, more risks can be taken.
  17. Agreed! I'm also really curious at the impact Hicks and Bullard will have in the mix... Shotgun theory...all those guys are bullets. One's bound to hit!
  18. F!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. The best defensive mind in the history of the game. You will always be remembered Buddy. Bear down.
  20. Thank you for sharing that! I loved watching that. Very informative...and neat to see a lot of McPhee highlights in one place! I'm geeked!
  21. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...says-hes-happy/ You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink... Perry seems resigned in his fate. Regardless, I will always love him as a Bear. I wish you well Fridge.
  22. He fantasy gold. Reality fools gold.
  23. I don't see why not... That's some damning information from sources usually not available to us fans. However, it's not as though those concerns haven't been mentioned by numerous folks here, other sites and the football media. I think we have reason to be concerned. However, I'm not worried. This defensive staff is one of the better ones in the league. Our HC is one of the better ones in the league. If anyone will push Floyd towards being impactful, it's them. If the pick is a bust, all other moves have been made to better that D. It would be a clear blemish on the staff for choosing him, but if everything else pans out, it'll just be a swing and a miss. I hope those multiple NFL players are wrong. Some even said the same about Url getting swallowed up by linemen. Not saying they are remotely the same...just saying he might get swallowed up time to time...but he also might flash some greatness now and then too. It's all about timing. Do the good plays at the right time outweigh the bad at the wrong time?
