  1. 4 games is honesty too little to judge either...I'm partial though. I like Forte!
  2. Wow, what a bust Mendenhall is at this point. Chalk it up right now to us getting Forte over Mendenhall as a serious coup! Our O talent evaluator may have botched a ton of other picks, but it really looks like they struck gold with Forte! I'm more than thrilled he is with the Bears! Looks like myself and a few others were wrong on Mendy...who's now on the mend!
  3. He did. I was bagging on his inconsistency earlier. But, last game, he was spot on for sure.
  4. Agreed. I think PIT will get their O in ornder tonight...pound the RB and drop short passes to Ward and Miller...
  5. Actually, I really don't think you'd be too surprised that there are probably a vast majority of either of those 2 supporting camps that are also in your camp...
  6. I blame some of the play calling for sure. Seems like we were passsing when we should have been running many times. (See Orton's turnover from the 11...why was the ball not given to Forte?) Orton made that bad mistake and also held onto the ball a little long on one of the 2 sack/fumbles. I don't blame him for the stupid reverse...I think K Jones F'ed that one up. I'm glad we won the game. I just still fear we won despite some things...and did so again with a team missing a core player.
  7. I forget, who got the horse trailer honors from Madden last night?
  8. I think that's a fair assessment...
  9. Agreed. I think this is a trap game. let's not foget that these Lions beat us twice last year. Lastly, so far this year, we've followed a big win with too much swagger... I hope we don't fall into the trap.
  10. We're definitley on the same page here...
  11. I really hope so. So far this team seems to be unable to handle success. THis tema needs to continue to play hard and act like they aren't the cat's meow...
  12. It is interesting that Kyle is showing some similar tendencies to Rex. However, I see the big difference is how he handles the defensive pressure. While he has made a a few mistakes, I also get a sense that every week, he's getting a slightly bit better. And let's not fool ourselves, this was the same Philly D that nearly killed the great Big Ben last week. Not to mention pretty solid Carolina and Tampa D's... Even a solid Indy D. Kyle's doing pretty well all considered. In fact, many say defense lost those 2 games, not the play of Orton. But, speculation is easy... Some can speculate that we'de be 4-0 with Grossman, as much as others would say 0-4. I really don't see good Kyle/ bad Kyle. I just see Kyle. He makes mistakes, but tends to overcome them. He looks to me like an average NFL QB. Nothing to write home about, but not an embarassment. We'll see if he can improve on that... The bottom line is the team is 2-2 and leading the division with Kyle at the helm.
  13. azbearfan, I know you love calling out folks that aren't under an NFL salary...but isn't it obvious none of us here are NFL GM's? We're all just fans. Some that may have more football knowledge than others. Some that use logical extrapolation and some that use gut instinct. And yes, we can pretend a bit that our opinions matter and that someone at Hallas hall is listening. I think it's highly encouraged to challenge and disagree with what any poster posts...but to just say he's not a GM is like telling me I can't hold an opinion about the presidential race because I've never been a president. I dare not mention what the president should do, because by golly goodness, I've never been a president. Hogwash. We can all reflect our opinions. Challenge his post, not his career.
  14. Good post nfo! I really saw the DB's laying off the LOS to a point of ridiculousness! Our DB's can lay some wood, so why not bump more often?
  15. It's the beard vs the brows... I think people are just too creeped out by Rex's highly waxed eyebrows. Whereas Kyle desperately needs a barber to trim up that beard. Natural seems to be winning out...
  16. I'm going to third that thought... Orton's been doing pretty much what expected of him. He has turned the ball over more than expected, but he's also generated more points than expected. More importantly, he's shown serious poise under pressure and has shown that he has resiliancy and comes back after making an error.
  17. Agreed. It was an improved game plan/call...but still a few too many head-scratchers.
  18. Yep! I think a good many of us have been screaming for that... He's kind of a poor man's Shannon Sharpe...
  19. I totally remember hearing Madden say the Bers need to ditch the cover 2... I fully agree.
