  1. Bad teams compain about officiating. Good teams roll with the punch and stop them the next series. This franchise sickens me at the moment...
  2. Chile, I feel your frustration! I went from elation, to shock, to depression to numbness in about a 30 min span of time... I really don't know what to say...
  3. ...and lost twice to them last year. Unless we figure out how to play a 4th quarter, we could very well be 1-15.
  4. Agreed. Lloyd had a great day and shouldn't be lumped in with the rest of the garbage.
  5. This staff continues to infuriate me to the point of bewilderment. This team does not know how to play 4 quarters...and most importantly THE 4th quarter.
  6. We did score. How come the D can't stop the other team from scoring in the 4th qtr?
  7. That's not officially out... So there is at least a chance he still will play. More Smithian gamesmanship!
  8. Agreed. However, last game the D in the second half had bad position with poor punts and turnovers. That does factor in. ALso, many are saying Stewart is something special. I'll hope that we contain Graham and that last week was odd.
  9. Where did you read that? The Trib and other sources have him at questionable.
  10. I've been suspect of Lovie for quite a while now... I liked game 1, liked the 1st half of game 2, hated the 2nd half of game 2. We'll see how he does going forward. The first game seemed like a refreshing example of growth as a coaching staff. The 2nd looked like more of the same from last year. (Great start, no adjusments at the half).
  11. Fair enough... I just simply disagree on 2nd. No point in hashing it out further. I follow where you are coming from, but just simply disagree.
  12. DId not know that...thanks for the update!
  13. Sweet! You think he complained about Brown and Url at practice? Wait til game time!
  14. I think you're being unduly hard on Orton. While we all can harp on his physical skills out thee last Sunday...I thought most his audibles were quite decent, but unfortunatley botched one big one. However, it did not result in a turnover, as close as it was. Turner made 2 botched calls in that time (2nd and 4th...although I understand your thinking that the 2nd down one was not) with time to think about what play to call. Kyle's error was a spur of the moment decision, while Turner had time to ponder his... I fault Turner more for the failure of that series. He did not utilize the tools in hand properly. All pun intended...
  15. I've been reading he should be well enough ready for Sunday. Also, noted was that he has not missed a start since coming to the Bears...let's keep the streak going and erare Favre from the books!
  16. At this point bring up Bowman is possible. I also wouldn't be surprised to see the Bears picks up Simms now that they have the space. He always seems to be floating around the rumor mill...
  17. I like him as a decoy... I'd like to see him in more spread packages and have him just go deep. That should at least take a quality DB or 2 out of the play and open up the mid-field. Once in a blue moon you astually try for the deep ball... Gimmick stuff is correct. But, it doesn't have to be crazy-gimmicks...I like the decoy element. Fake end arounds,etc...
  18. I follow... I am surprised to see Kyle struggle so. Myabe we'll see an improvement. It's not totally crazy to think it was just a bad game... Overall, I was pretty happy with his audible the last 2 games. But he sure botched it on 3-1. I have no problem letting him make a mistake once in a while as long as he learns from it. My expectations are still low...but my hope is high. We'll just agree to sidagree on that. After that Super Bowl loss, we lost our undefeated mark in SB's for one, and then I was more depressed after a game than I'd ever been since Walter's last game agasinst Washington. All our other losses, hurt...but that one hurt really bad. I don't think your comparison to wanting to lose games in the end is vaild. It's a completely different thing. I want the team to always play their best regardless...and have the starters always start. I don't want to lose playoff games or Super Bowls... I just know losing a playoff game is far less painful for me personally than losing the SB. I'd say for the team as well...last year was not a good hangover in the least.
  19. Yuck! I hate being compared to a Packer, good or bad! Let's come up with a better one!
  20. Grizz, Thanks for the write-up! It's good to hear a "local" perspective. Very interesting stufff... I will check out those links.
  21. I really see no problems with your take. I don't agree that Rex is better. But, let's let sleeping dog lie. I think we do need to address the situation in the draft. I like Hanie and want him competing for the job with whoever we draft fairly high. I wouldn't mind Garcia as a shop keeper. But, before we do that, I'd like to see a little more games from Orton. I do think he can be a great back-up depending on what transpires.
