OT: Vince Young Doesn't Want to Play Football
madlithuanian replied to DABEARSDABOMB's topic in Bearstalk
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8550254...ere-predictable Good article by Jason Whitlock on this... -
Hold off on Jones unless you hear barber's sitting... The other 3 are all starters.
-
Tough question! 1. DeSean 2. Calvin 3. Welker 4. Hester!
-
I can't recall the name for the life of me...but there's a little sports shop right accross the street from the melenium dome close to the river that has a TON of stuff at decent prices. Anyone recall what it is?

Others who frequent more often may be able to tell you more. In all honesty, I usually end up there right after seeing the Bears at Soldier...
-
I've never seen a bad blues show there! Usually a really old bluesman you've never heard of that just makes you want to knock down bourbon like it's going out of style!
-
I think so...dang.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm not thrilled about Miller. But, maybe it's just insurance. I really don't want to love Barton...but hopefully things will all work out.

While I'm super excited about what transpired last weekend, I'm still tempering my thoughts. My initial prediction was 6-10...and then I contemplated a 4-12 after seeing what we saw in pre-season. I'm going to up my initial prediction by 1 since this was a game I thought we'd lose. I'll say 7-9 at this time.

As my father always said to me, "In every presidential election, there's always one loser. And that's the citizens."

I think most the posters already hit up the best spots! But YOU MUST GO TO DITKA'S! Lunch is very reasonable, and dinner's not bad. It's also a fun place to watch the Bears game. But make sure you go there! You can eat high on the hog, or on the cheap there. From the paddle steak to the Frisge Burger...it's all good! And the pot roast nachos are king! Everyone's already mentioned all the good pizza/dog spots... For musci go to B.L.U.E.S. It's right nea the famous Kingston Mines, and isn't as trendy. Not that Kingston's bad! I saw Buddy Guy there years ago and blew me away! There is a pretty good indutrial.metal scene, but since I've been far removed, I'm sure it's changed. Other places to check out... Lincoln Park Zoo. It's free! Wrigley Field. Even if your'e a Sox fan, it's a historic park and lots to do/eat/drink nearby. Macy's downtown. Ask where the old Marshall Field's is. It's an old historic dept store. If you show your out of town ID to the concierge, you get freebies like a drink or discounts. Good if you're travelling with a lady... Sears Tower. It costs a bit now...but it's the tallest bldg in the US and the view is crazy! My personal favorites for eats are Gibsons for steaks (pricey) and Palermos' for thin crust pizza (but most those are in the burbs.) But go to DITKA's! You won't be sorry!

His blind support of Grossman is clouding his vision...

Thanks for the link! Just voted Forte with a bullet!

She's been pretty poor for her career. Sleeze-sack is just not very good...
-
I can't say I disagree!

I too love the old scholl white on white road gear... But I like the Navy jersey and white pants at home.
-
Point well made...

Thanks! Good pix!

I think just about every team in the NFl would take Brady over what they have barring a few...

1. No one on this board is gonna support the Packers. That's just silliness. 2. No one on this board needs lessons from the Cracker school of how show their support for their team on a message-board. 3. Newsflash- People that show concern and were negative don't necessarily mean they do not love and support their team. Kind of like not liking what a standing government does, yet still loving one's country. I for one am excited my thoughts of a dire season look to be thwarted! Last night's game restored some of my confidence in this staff! I want to see more and hope I was horribly wrong in my inital assessment. If you don't like that I'm happy, and think I should support the Packers...you're going to just have to continue to be disappointed.

I also agree... It's risk/return with hester. I like the return on the risk A LOT!

As Lloyd Crhismas said in Dumb and Dumber...I like 'em "a lot"! All I can say is WOW! I came in with fairly low expectiation, the the results far exceeded that! 1. Orton did pretty much what I was expecting...moved the ball a bit, and don't make the big error. He fumbled once, but recovered it. 2. Forte I was hoping would look good. Well, he looked FANTASTIC! Man, what an impressive young man! Do you realize no other rookie Bear has ever notched 100 yards in his first game? Not Gale. Not Walter. NOt Nagurski. Not Grange. Just Forte! Way to go kid! Keep it up! 3. Robbie Gould, always good as gold! 4. The D came to play! I guess there is an on/off switch, and man was it on last night! They looked really hungry! Urlacher was a man possessed. They let a few big plays and a few error, but for the most part, kept the pressure on and harassed Manning all night. HTat's what was needed, and that's what was done! 5. The coaching staff came out of hibernation! I've been on Lovie and everyone's butt something vivcious. But they called a great game plan, and the D was showing all kind of stunts and confusing formations. I was floored that they really did a good job. Maybe they have learned something from last season? If so, I hope we see more fruits from that! Kudos to the Bears! What I once feared may be a long season, now looks to be quite exciting! Here's to being in first place after week one!

I love the Bears mauling Manning pic! GO BEARS!

1. I'd like to think so. However, on Sunday, I think the odds will be minimal due to the Colts not making big blunders. BBut that can be thwarted with sever pressue up front. It all stems there. 2. It sure doesn't look like it... I honestly do not know, but it doesn't look good. 3. I think so! THe new cast looks far better than the old one! 4. If Hester is back there, then yes! 5. I think Orton will protect himself better regardless of the O-line...and yes, this O-line should do a better job than last years'. How much better, we'll see.
