  1. I think we've got plenty of cap to make it happen. But, I'd really like to lock in Kyle first. He's been such a team player, that I'd like to see him get the big bump first.
  2. I think it's what's needed. There's nothing out there right now in FA other than journeymen. The team did what's been their current consistent motto...dump guys that won't be here next season. That's why we don't have Bennett, Forte and Slauson. I would well imagine we'll be drafting a TE unless the braniac from Harvard turns into something special...which is unlikely. I think the more tires we kick and more warm bodies brought in, the better. And, if Miller somehow can stay relatively healthy, it could be fun!
  3. It was a low risk pick, and it apparently just didn't pan out.
  4. So long Mr. Wilson. I can't imagine he'll be invited to stay long with such health concerns....
  5. It ain't funny! It's all about the honey!

  9. I heard Hub (not that he's all knowing...) say that he thinks Pace's long game is that he wants only people in place for what he thinks is the 2017*2020 window. That's why Forte isn't here, Slauson, etc. Ramirez might have thought the same if Grassu was indeed showing positive signs of starting. Or maybe his body or mind aches and he wanted to be done with the game... Either way, he gone. Next!

  12. To win big, you gotta think big! I really think it hinges much on White. Then, it needs to be determined if White's success is due to also having Alshon out there... If we move Alshon, we'll need a replacement...
  13. I really like how this is playing out overall... We are stockpiling young talent (barring a few FA's...). This means either they take over down the road, play in spot duty, or play specials. This, to me, is long term football building 101.
  14. tag him one more year if need be....
  15. That and calling out Erin Rodgers really makes me root for Mr. Houston!

  17. I think the easy takeaway is simply that the jury isn't out... Let's see how he plays with another year under Fangio and Donnatel's teaching. Let's see how the improved DL positively impacts the DB's. Let's see how the improved LB corps positively impacts the DB's. And hopefully, let's see if an improved offense also helps...
  18. Maybe you can find him in the unemployment line after training camp in NE ends...
  19. Let's go fishin' Willie! I want to see lots of fish in the boat this season!
  20. Zach Zaidman Verified account ‏@ZachZaidman #Bears OL coach Dave Magazu says C Hroniss Grasu is now over 300 pounds. The team wanted him to get bigger.
  21. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...te-of-the-week/ Willie Gault, age 55, is USA Track & Field’s athlete of the week Posted by Michael David Smith on May 12, 2016, 10:19 AM EDT LOS ANGELES, CA - NOVEMBER 22: Willie Gault attends the 2015 USA Swimming Golden Goggle Awards at J.W. Marriot at L.A. Live on November 22, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Joe Scarnici/Getty Images) Getty Images As a Bears and Raiders wide receiver in the 1980s and 1990s, Willie Gault was one of the fastest players in the NFL. Now Gault is 55 years old. And he’d still beat a lot of NFL players in a footrace. Gault was named USA Track & Field’s athlete of the week this week after he set new world records in his age group in both the 100 meters and 200 meters. At the Oxy Invite in Los Angeles on Saturday, Gault ran an 11.30-second 100-meter dash and a 23.24-second 200-meter dash. The previous world records for men age 55 or older were 11.44 seconds in the 100 and 23.36 seconds in the 200. Gault previously set world records in the 45-49 age group and the 50-54 age group. Gault was always a multi-sport athlete and may have been better at track than football: He was a member of the 1980 Summer Olympics team that was kept home from the Games in Moscow when the U.S. boycotted, and in 1983 he came in third place in the world championships in the 110-meter hurdles. At the same world championships, he and teammates Emmit King, Calvin Smith and Carl Lewis broke the 4×100-meter relay world record. He was also an alternate in the bobsled in the 1988 Winter Olympics. In 11 NFL seasons, Gault caught 333 passes for 6,635 yards and 44 touchdowns. He led the Super Bowl-winning 1985 Bears in both receiving yards and kickoff return yards.
