  1. Sounds good! Work's been killing me...and so have the "honeydo's"...but I plan on getting set up soon. I will more than likely be madlithuanian if it'll allow me.
  2. Keep in mind I predicate that on the assumption we will be lousy this year. Rex is nothing but a stop gap...the others at least offer us the possibility (not gurantee) of a future.
  3. yEAH...i LIKE THAT LINE OF THINKING!
  4. Yeah... I would love to! However, I just got the system and I've not yet connected up. I think I need to join the sony network or something. I can download stuff, so I know I'm halfway there.
  5. Glad to be of service!
  6. I'm in the same boat! I too am a minority here and am a Cubs fan. I'm in need of a Big Gulp of Kool-aid too! My dixie cup's so dry that the Sahara squeezes out more moisture in a pound of sand!
  7. Ha! I hear ya! I think we play a 3-4 offense. After 3 downs, we punt on 4th...
  8. You may be on to something! Kyle would face SF whereas Rex would take on CLE. I give a slight edge to CLE's D, but then again, most teams prep the 3rd pre-season game as the important one...and a certain former Bears has been gradually improving that SF D. Willis is a stud.
  9. I'd almost consider jetisoning Rex, starting Kyle, having Beck back-up and keeping Hanie as 3rd. Which mostly stems from my thoughts that this season will be a failure...
  10. I did manage 66 yards by Wolfe in a pre-season game where he only played a half...but most of it came on a 45 yd TD run around the edge. It usually takes me a good 1/2 aseason before I start getting it. I imagine this years' will be the same. I haven't set the skill level yet... I'm trying it right out of the box without the new bell & whistle. I'm hoping to find the sliders I like... Then I'm thinking about going with the "my skill" thing, or whatever it's called. Not sure if it'll make a difference, but I'd like to see it do it's thing before "adjusting" to my game play. And in that regard, it seems like you'll only be as good as you are now. It'll just make it harder as you get better. You may not even notice a thing... Who knows!
  11. Us Bears fans are of strong constitution...or we are just plain dumb! We keep coming back, expecting different results, but usually get the same barring an odd year here or there! It's the definition of insanity! Blast our darn tradition! If it weren't for our past glories, history and bizarre sense of hope, I think most of us would be taking up guitar lessons on Sundays!
  12. You got it Chile! We need to laugh...because otherwise, we'll be crying with our dismal season in tow!
  13. Thanks for the info...but to clarify... If he's on our 53 man roster, then there's no chance of another team grabbing him regardless of what he wants to do, correct? My thinking is why risk it, and just put him on the 53 roster while Wiliams rests up for a better next season. Or even drop one of our dozen DT's... Granted, there's a good chance Hanie could start for the Bears, but maybe there's a good chance he could sit behind Tony Romo in Dallas and get a Super Bowl ring backing him up and learning an according to hoyle NFL offensive system vs our joke called a Bears offense. Let's see these next 3 games play out...and if we see what we saw in the 1st...he should be on our 53 man roster.
  14. Now that would explain things!
  15. No surprise to me... Like connor mentioned in his reply, neither really looked fantastic agasint a sub-par KC D. Also, many believe, as I do, that Grossman has nude pictures of Lovie and Jerry...and thus always will get the start regardless of the "supposed" competition. As much as I'd rather see Orton, I think unless either really shine or stink it up, we'll see Grossman start game one. But I do think he'll be on a very short leash unlike previous seasons. Apprently the nude photots do have an expiration date...
  16. Consider the source, but interesting nonetheless... http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/ FAVRE FUMBLING COLES RELATIONSHIP? Posted by Mike Florio on August 13, 2008, 4:30 p.m. In response to the decision of Jets quarterback Brett Favre to go public regarding his private conversation with teammate Laveranues Coles, one league source thinks that Favre’s efforts will, at a minimum, jeopardize any trust that might have been established between the two players. And we agree. If Coles isn’t talking publicly about the switcheroo that resulted in Favre joining the Jets and Chad Pennington being booted out the door, the best strategy for cozying up to the guy probably doesn’t include going public regarding the contents of a discussion about Coles’ refusal to speak. Coles easily could interpret Favre’s clumsy effort at breaking the ice, and Favre’s decision to then blab about it, as an insult. Especially since Coles clearly prefers at this point to deal with the situation privately. And, arguably, Favre’s interpretation of Coles’ silence as a reluctance to not “say anything good about” Favre could be telling evidence that Favre had indeed become a full-blown narcissist. As we see it, Coles’ silence isn’t about the fact that the team traded for Favre. It’s about the fact that the team rewarded Pennington’s loyalty and service by throwing him out the door. Favre likely is, in Coles’ eyes, the personification of that indignity. So Favre would be wise to tread lightly. But we’ve learned of late that concepts like subtlety and discretion don’t reside in Favre’s personality. During his battle with the Packers, Favre was crowing to the media about all sorts of otherwise private conversations. It’s not really anything new. Favre violated the players’ code three years ago with Javon Walker, pressuring him to abandon any intention of holding out for a new contract. (Walker caved, and then tore his ACL in Week One.) If Favre had been a member of the Jets earlier this year when Coles was making noise about his own deal, we wonder what Brett would have said. Coles probably does, too.
  17. I would have expected some bright spots...but there were none to my recollection. Again, I'm no expert on Miami QB'ing...and don't pretend to be. I know very little on Beck. The only Beck I know a lot more about is a brewmeister... I will never ignore options until we get it right... You'll get no opposition from me to bring the kid in.
  18. I honestly can't comment... (Shocker!) I've not seen enough of Beck...although I know he didn't do well on a bad team. I honestly think Miami's offensive staff last year was better than ours. If they couldn't get anything out of him, I'm not sure we can.
  19. Got it... But there is no "maybe". Hester is on the roster.
