I hear ya. I just really would have liked to see him (and a few other bears) out there at the end of the season when all was lost anyway. But I think I'm just getting myself worked up over the staff again... It's a bit too easy to do.

I read Singletary's book not too long ago and evern Ryan was a big jerk to him... But at the end, he had gained respect. I look at Ryan like an old fashioned drill sargeant... Hard to love, easy to respect.

That's just silly. You are too obsessed with it... I'm all for drafting OL, and heck, I can even understand 3...but all!? C'mon, common sense needs to prevail. 1. Agreed, but why put all your picks in one position? There are MANY other needs on this team! Like I said, I can understand 3...heck, maybe even 4...but not all 8 man. 2. We're pretty darn good out side those 2. Kruetz and Tait are very good, and Garza is quite adequate. Yes, you can make a case to start grooming guys...but con't you make a case for just about every position on the team? We need secondary depth, we need LB depth, we need DL depth, we need WR depth, we need a legit RB, we need a legit FB, and we need a QB period. I can't see enough justication to avoid all thos other position for OL alone. 3. I think any decent GM would say it takes time...and we should get some OL...just not freakin 8 of them! 4. OK, now you're saying only 4 OL? You started off saying all of them! I still think it's silly to go OL for the 1st 4 picks...I still beleive in BPA after filling your needs. Again, we are not just shy at OL... Terra and I may be in hospital beds next to one another if we draft 4 OL with the 1st 4 picks...

I just don't see 4... We have too many holes in the secondary and O line to have that many players wrapped up in one position. Unless they were to experiment with Wolfe as a Gentry-like WR...

You're probably right. I think Benson is here for one more (last) year. I think the only way you'd see otherwise is if we did indeed draft a HR hitter in the 1st like McFadden or Mendenhall... Even then, I'm not so sure Benson isn't around. Like you were saying, this is just speculation from a writer...nothing more , nothing less.

There's not much we can do about it but just hope it improves somehow. I'm not sure it will, but I hope it does. Well, in all fairness, the staff seems to change their tune as often as the wind changes direction through the loop... Bradley was in the doghouse, now he's #1... Cedric's the man, now he has to prove himself. (Granted, that one was an easy flip flop!) But I'm sure there are other instances that just aren't popping into my cranium at the moment. I really have no idea what to expect of this staff. Heck, Beekman could surprise us all if he actually gets a chance to show what he has. All this post is really saying is that it doesn't look like a bust, and has the potential to help this team. No guarantees, but hope.
