Ha! I loved that scene in the movie! We may be the worst offense, but our D and ST will keep us from rock bottom.
-
Yeah...I was kind of hoping BOulware would land to us.

Glad to see you posting LT!

Pix, I can't give you enough thanks for all your efforts! You and all the other mods have been very fair to me, and I think everyone. Once in a blue moon, there's a legit gripe...but overall, it's always settled for the better. Please keep up the good work, your efforts are not going unappreciated!

I'm bummed Pix. I can't believe LT left over that....

OK. I follow your analogy. But you can't convince me! My mind is made up! Benson's a bum! But in all fairness...I'm sure he is doing some rehabbing. I'd just like to know how seriously...or is it a show? Leopard's tend not to change their spots, so if he really is re-dedicating himself to being a football player, that would be great. But, I've always heard that he wasn't in that mindset. He definitley started on the wrong foot here...and has now injured that foot so to speak...again. I hope he is giving it everything and then some. ...let's not forget, as many folks as you have in the office working on the weekend, how many, during the week just don't work? He could be going through the motions... I'm on that page unless I hear otherwise. -

'Tis the time for smokescreens, but I think there's something to this. I read about it months ago I believe. We all know teams don't share any info... But I also think if it were going really well, you'd hear feel good stories like with Rex on how much the guy is re-habbing,etc... Again, could be a smokescreen to get people thinking we really need a RB. The only thing I could see him doing regularly at Hallas Hall is watching Babylon by Bus while wmoking a fat doobie. Maybe he is re-habbing. I've got to see it to believe it. I do not see it as a positive...I see it what it bloody well should be. Do you congratulate your co-workers for just showing up? (At least most wouldn't...) I think the editors at PTW have nothing to talk about (like us!), so speculating McFadden will drop, make people read and react. I question everything that comes out as info. But more importanly, I question Benson. -

You are SO right. There are holes all over the O. I'd normally be with you on QB first. I do think it's the most important position. But I'm just not sold on this class for a #1 pick. But, if we got Brohm, I'd be OK with that. I was personally hoping to nab Mendenhall with 1, and a QB w/ the 2nd. I don't know who that should be...I'm just not sold on anyone. Not even Ryan. I thought once that Brennan would be good...but I've really soured on that. What are your thoughts on Henne? I too agree that Grossman is bad news. His inconsistency is a killer. I'm not quite sure what to make of Orton. I actually see him as a Steve Fuller. The perrennial 2nd string backup that manages a game well. He won't win it, but he won't lose it. In all honesty, I just want our #1 pick to rock, whatever position it is. -
I'm 100% with you on that. I just think the guy is going to be a stud.

Sounds like they're slow on getting that news at PFW! This info has been around for a while. Part of the reason I've been clamorring for Mendenhall... -
Great analysis! I'm a bit of the mindset that LB's are as important as D ends. But maybe I'm just biassed as a Bears fan!

I'm really just a Madden fool... Right now just PS2 and not on line. Although I'm going to get PS3 and on line when the next Madden version comes out. I do enjoy Guitar Hero when at a aprty, but I don't play it seriously. I also like Soul Calibur when in the mood to fight with some friends. That's about it for me! Fairly dull gamer!

I think you're pretty spot on. 1. He's not a total wash. He is pretty good. He's just not Champ Bailey good... I too would take Vasher or Tillman over him in a heartbeat. 2. As much as I'd like the upgrade, I just don't see him here. We are the black hole of QB's...he'd avoid us like the plague. And I think he'd cost us a 1st possibly. But for a 2nd, and if he were OK with it, I'd do it. 3. I think he's over-rated as well. But it's a thin class this year. 4. Agreed 5. If we can't get Mendenhall, I'd be good with seeking out Stewart. 6. At this point too, I'd like to see Olivea. I know he's had issues, but I think it's be a good insurance policy. I think JA's goind to wait out cuts before making the next moves besides in the draft.

Agreed. I liked what little I saw in Dusty in the San Deigo game as I was there. But Adams has earned a shot. I see no need for Walker really... Unless it's just an on the cheap move that gives a little more depth. Not to mention Toeinea did pretty well as well.
-
Be easy on Dusty...your man Grossman wasn't exactly a pillar of health his first few games as a starter... He looked great in San Diego until he got hurt.
-
I think we need to discount RB's coming out of Denver as exception an not rules! But regardless, I do follow your line of thinking. I just think Mendenhall will be a stud. I really would hate to pass on him. Granted, if we got a stud LT, I'd be happy too. But let's be honest...it's easier to cheer for a RB than a LT!

I too was at the SD game! I'd have done the same, but I was wearing my Sweetnees away jersey!
