  1. I've not yet played on line, and usually take on the computer or friend. And with our current Roster, I usually get my butt handed to me on All Madden.
  2. I have to start this giving Bear Sox a little credit after I read a comment he made... I'm sure at least some of you are Madden geeks, like myself. Heck, I'm so bad that I only own a system for only that game. Once I started playing in college, I couldn't stop. My question to those of you who are in need of help, like me, is do you do any of the following: 1. Update your roster to the latest team, creating whoever you need? 2. Play with the Roster as if you were GM and create your own line-up making trades, etc that you'd like in a dream scenario? 3. Go for broke and create either an all-time Bears team or the '85 Bears team? As there's not much to talk about at the moment...I couldn't resist. Please elaborate...
  3. It sure would seem they are in position. Oddly, something tells me they'll take a WR!
  4. LT2_3, I agree with you... You can read my post in the lower section.
  5. All positions can be justified... I just think given the nature of this particular off-season, butkus made a good point that he thought Scott was a good fit, and I agreed, not that he was a good fit, but that it's worthy of discussion in the Bears category. I still found it and went to look at the discussion. I'm totally fine either way...I just think there is a solid case to be made that FA speculation up to the draft could warrant categorization in the Bears portion. Whether by an AP writer or a poster... I think the general NFL section, at least in my view, is best left for literally chatting about the following: What you think about Spygate... How Tony Romo will look for Dallas next year.... Is LT the best back in the league... etc Basically, anything that doesn't relate what-so-ever to the Bears. Just my 2 cents worth, that's now devalued to probably less than zero thanks to our economy.
  6. Butkus, I follow you... I may disagree on whether I think he's good. But given the nature of our offensive woes, discussing any potential FA to me is fair game on a Bears category.
  7. As they say, the devil's in the deal.
  8. But Boldin comes with successful NFL experience... I'd rather go with the known commodity.
  9. I'd love to get Boldin. I'm not sure the cost...and I'm not sure if he'd want to be in Chicago given our historic epic failure at the QB postion...
  10. I'm with you on this one TerraTor! Mendenhall in the 1st!
  11. You are probably right. I guess it was somewhat similar to what I said, just not as negative!
  12. We all lose... The job will be given to Rex. That's just what I think will actually happen. There will be some sham of a competition. But Rex will start if he's healthy. However, I think he will be on a very short leash.
  13. BRING BACK THE HONEY BEARS! In all seriousness, trade for Peyton Manning. We'd finally have the legit QB we've not had in too many moons. They guy virtually calls his own plays, so an OC wouldn't matter as much! I'm not sure what we'd have to give up, but it'd be a lot. Probablly Tommie, a 1st, 2nd and maybe another 1st the following year. But, I'd do it.
  14. I'd think in both salary and babysitting. He can't come with a low price tag I would imagine. And once he starts seeing Rex's throws hit the grass 5 feet in front og him or in opponents hands, he's going to be taking swings at the coaches. Honestly, I could see pursuing him if we had a legit QB and offense. I just don't see why he'd want to come here other than the loot. And that will get old quick for a prima donna like him.
  15. ..there's pro basketball in Chicago still?
  16. I feel your anguish...but isn't that part of being a fan? Just switching loyalties is gutless. Why not just be a Pat's fan? Odds are they'll get more rings than any other team out there. They make better personnel decisions and bring in better FA's than any team out there. As a fan, I totally reserve the right to bash my eam for making bad decisions. But even if they rolled out Kordell, Grossman, Enis, Terrell, and every other bust or waste of a player, I'm still rooting for the navy and burnt organge! I root on the helmet, the jersey, the city..the fans. Chicago's the best sports town in the world. I'm honored to be a part of that. I'd hope you reconsider and retract your Jag's statement. I do like some of your sarcasm on this board and probably agree with you more often than not. But I implore you not to be a fair weather fan, and stick through the thick and thin. A vast majority of us all have. Yeah, we have some real lows, but when we have high's, they are the highest of highs! Bear down!
  17. I don't want him. Too costly...you think he wants to swing at coaches now? Wiat 'til he gets a load of Turner!
  18. It sounds like exactly what, me and a number of other have been thinking... It's a competition for the wolrd to think, and in reality it's Rex yet again. Oh joy.
  19. Agreed. In the realm of WR's I like his moves overall. I'm still not happy he's not addressed any OL in FA...but it's still early in the game.
  20. Ward I think is a viable option as well...
  21. Thanks nfo! Odds are if he went there, he's probably somewhat local... I kind of like that....
  22. Your friend's comments are basically spot on to what many of us are thinking... Benson is injury prone and has no heart...
