  1. Must have been blind to that because I missed it when I checked when I posted. Thanks Kyyle!!!
  2. Here is the article from the Trib's website as reported by Vaughn McClure: http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...briggs-chicago- Looks like it is a six year $36 million deal that locks him up. Briggs said it was not about the money however, with the way he acted last year receiving the franchise tag makes you think otherwise. Now what do they do with Brian and Tommie to keep the two of them happy. In a way I think this is good that for once we keep our core linebackers together, it just creates new problems that need to be resolved as well.
  3. He would be an interesting addition to this team however, if we did sign Taylor where would he play and who would we loose. It is a fun idea however, not realistic.
  4. He was a puss as a player and an ass as a commentator. Hope that he remains out of the lime light and just drifts away.
  5. I agree with the Drunk Bomber, go with an SUV!!!!!!!! I personally have a Toyota Sequoia and it is pretty great. There are many SUVs out there that would work well for you, make sure you check them out before you decide on a mini-van.
  6. Like The Prophet stated, chose your poision on what you would rather swallow. I hate all three teams at this point especially the Pack. I would have like Junior Seau to finally have a ring however, not with an undefeated team. Also would have like to shut the Miami Dolphins of '72 the hell up, and to a degree they should. Since Jerry Jones took over the Cowboys, I still am not able to find it in my heart to root for that team ever again. Plus with my extremely biased towards our team, The Bears should own all NFL records period, end of discussion. Additionally we should be able to maintain both the Halas Trophey (the true Super Bowl Trophey) and the Lombardi trophey every year. Of course that is just my fantasy heart talking, reality is that it takes a lot to be able to do that and it unfortunately will not happen.
  7. My concern as already mentioned by Kyyle23 is that Stallworth has been injury prone lately. Might be a nice addition however, we still need a true #1 receiver that will catch the rock and there are other problems with the offense as well. Not able to justify throwing ugly money at a potential free agent who may not live up to expectations.

    Dent

Not sure that it was his last shot however, here is the link for the story on the Bears website: http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4338 Personally I am really starting to hate all HOF voters and being tagged so called Experts. This is another slap in the face to Chicago and Richard specifically for not voting him in. One of these days, I hope that someone, some how, some where teaches these so called experts that they really suck at their so called job. Richard Dent should have been a first ballot Hall Of Famer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Danimal sums it up once again and those so called experts who do not think that the '85 team was the best of all times, can kiss Chicagos collective ass and learn once again how great that team was. No doubt about the best team in the NFL of all time. I am thinking as well that as much as I want to shut Mercury Morris the hell up, NY is probably going to shock the so called experts once again. Here is to our team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I did almost the same as you did Nfoligno except I could not put the '72 phins at the very bottom as much as I hate them at this point. The very bottom should be that United soccer team that Beckham used to play for, which is where I put them. I am still blown away how much Da' Bulls are ahead of Da' Bears in this poll.
  11. I have to agree with you on these moments. They are some of my all time favorites to remember and to watch. Another one that I am able to add is the day that Walter passed Jim Brown for the career rushing yards title. Did not really want to stop the game and just continued to show what a special person "Sweetness" was. I also have to throw out the first game that I got to see as a kid growing up. It was against the Baltimore Colts and Bert Jones just picked us apart however, it was the first game ever that I had been to and it was just my dad and I at the game. I believe it was back like in '72 or '73 and we sat in the South Endzone. Man I miss the way Soldier Field used to be.
  12. It is from "Coming To America" with Eddie and Arsenio Hall. One of the best lines and scenes in this hilarious movie!!!!!!!!!
  13. Amen to that sentiment!!!!!!!!! The only team that should have all the records for the NFL resides in the Greatest City in the World, With the Greatest Fans in the World and butts up to the shores of Lake Michigan!!!!!!!!!!!! I really do not give a damn about this game, it will be nice to socialize at our annual bash once again and enjoy the commercials again. I am also glad that I do not have to listen to cheesehead nation speaking about being there once again. As far as the two teams in it, either way it will be a miserable off season once they win and we'll never hear the end of it from their followers. The sooner 2008 starts in July, the better we'll all be.
  14. Way to go Cheesehead Nation!!!!!!!!!!! Just something you may expect from a Raider fan that now transends to Cheesehead Nation.
  15. Do not know why he was let go by Jeff Fischer in Tennesse however, Norm's tract record speaks for itself. Definitely would be an upgrade of Turner at this point.
  16. I am just damn glad that the Giants did go into Irving and beat the Boys on their field. Makes Jones look more and more like the idiot that he really is. Not sure who is going to be in Glendale on February 3rd however, I still think that NE is due for a let down and man I hate the cheeseheads. We'll know more in seven days.
  17. Interesting observations Wesson however not sure I agree with what you are saying. I do not think Garza is expendable at this point. Save us too much under the cap and plays decent. I agree with getting rid of Miller and Brown is definitely getting to old. I think it is time to say goodbye to Berrian. He thinks he is a top ten receiver in this league and yet still has not done squat to prove it to me. Plus he gets in the way when others are running in behind him and moving down field. Plus he really does not take anything over the middle. Not a top ten receiver in my book. I think someone will make the mistake of offering Grossman more money and good ridence to him. Orton needs to remain, Griese is signed and is able to mentor Orton some more and we need to draft a QB who will be considered a true franchise QB. We'll have to wait and see how JA is planning the future and see what happens. The other thing is that we could have had a far better O Coordinator and fried supposedly of Lovie's in Mike Martz however, San Fran beat us to him. Looks like 2008 is not shaping up very well as of yet and yet we still have not talked about the needs on defense as of yet.
  18. Man I miss SoCal. Hope that you both are living it up out there. Did either of you go to the Opener in San Diego? I was there on vacation and sat with a bunch of native Chicagoans who are all part of a group called, the Western Association of Crazy Chicagoans & Others. They will be having another Super Bowl Party in Las Vegas once again if you guys are interested, let me know.
  19. Definitely one helluva victory today. Everyone seemed to be on the same page of the game plan and executed it perfectly. Wish it would have been that way all year however, I love sweeping GB as a consulation prize. Next up is New Orleans.
  20. I just hope that the Pack realize that they are still in a fight for home field through out. I just think that this game will not even be close and that Brett is going to have another incredible day against us like so many times before. I unfortunately see this being something like 37 to 10 if we're even that lucky. I really hope that we are able to pin loss #3 on the Pack however, they are playing a lot better then they did on October 7th. More losses definitely improves the draft pick and we needs lots of help!!!!!!
  21. All I know is that it is damn time that Turner get his ass kicked to the wayside. I do not know why he has digressed so much however, it was a mistake to hire him after Illinois fired him. Mularkey would be an interesting hire to maybe right this ship and I as well do not know too many OC candidates out there that will definitely improve this team. We'll see what happens after December 30th and hope that changes are made and that JA does not override any decision on this.
  22. I think adding Hester as a starting receiver would definitely make the defenses pay more attention to the offense versus keying on Devin every time he is brought in. If Devin is starting then the defense really does not know where the rock is going and if our QB who ever it is hits Devin in the open field, the defense is going to be scrambling to catch up to him. It sounds like a great idea and they just need to work harder in Devin's conversion process from DB to WR. I just hope that there is a better OC for this team next year.
  23. I agree with you on the fact that Haugh is apparently another coward with a pen. The only thing I agree with is that he is pretty spot on with his assessment. Why Haugh did not do this the entire season is beyond me. We may have to send him emails or participate in his chats that he is a part of to ask him that specifically. It just goes to show how far this team has fallen this year and does a good job at showing where some of the blame for the problems should go. I just wish that it had been done through the entire season and if it was that evident in pre-season, why in the hell was it not mentioned at that point? Wish that Management in Lake Forrest would listen to some of us here instead and pay more attention to the fans versus their bottom line.
  24. Here is a true evaluation of the season so far from Bears Beat Writer David Haugh with the following link: Link I may not have said it exactly this way in my previous posts however, David does get to the heart of the matter in regards to this team going from a Super Bowl participant to last place in the NFC Central Division a season later. Based on what David and I have seen, the Bears have quite a lot of holes to fix in order for this team to turn around once again. Notice that he does blame both Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo for this mess together while not mentioning either one of them specifically. See what you think about what David has to say. I think that he is pretty spot on in his evaluation of what has transpired since February 4, 2007.
  25. Hey Bomber, Now I know you are already Drunk at this point. Cover and win as well up in the Twins Cities with the way we have played all year? Don't think so. We are now hoping that Orton will be able to do what Grossman nor Griese were able to do and IMO Orton does not have the talent. Orton is going to be running for his life, AP is going to struggle to succeed and Turner is going to screw it all up with his so-called play calling. Then you have to consider how banged up and poorly the defense is at this point. The only possible way is for Devin to return everything to the house that is kicked his way. Wait a minute, we all know the the ViQueens are not going to do that. We'll see what happens however, I expect that we are going down in flames once again on Monday Night. For the others that say they are rooting for the team directly North of us, you got to be joking. It is one of the fierest rivalries in professional sports and at this point and time, their fans are laughing at us once again because we are doing so poorly, that we are an after thought to them. Does not sound like a good team to be rooting for in my estimation. As for the rest of the Black & Blue or Norris Division as Boomer Berman calls it, None of them deserves our respect and definitely do not need our support. Papa Bear started this league and we have everything behind us in history and tradition. One of these days I hope that we learn how to be competitive year in and year out.
