I think that would be a good option if it would fall into place. I think Gary Kubiak is not as good as everyone believes and I think that he wants to correct things with someone that knows his system very well, meaning Plummer would benefit being there. I feel that Carr still has a lot of upside and throw him into a competition with Suckman and let the best QB win the starting job. IMO Carr does have and will succeed in becoming the starter and that it will solidify the QB position pretty well.

I also take into consideration that Wilson is a Viking at heart and really does not do well as Da' Bears QB coach. Additionally I always thought that Wilson was a journeyman QB at best during his playing days. He never amounted to much in the NFL and it pains me that he has been the QB coach for this team or any other team since he retired. I also lay blame at the hands of Ron Turner. Turner may have been adequate during his first tenure as OC however, in his time as Illinois head coach, Turner has apparently lost his OC abilities. Just like his brother Norv, they may have been good at one point in their careers however, they are not worth a damn at this time.

And yet AP had a pretty good year last year and for what ever reason Ron Turner refused to use him this season. If we start Benson and trade TJ, I definitely want AP there as our back up. AP would definitely be a starting running back on another team who may need a quality back. Do not forget what AP has done, find out why Ron Turner has turned on AP to understand why we did not seem him when either Ced Ben or TJ where hurt.

Pretty good season to have completed. Need to start figuring out how to solve the problems from this season to correct for next season. QB, Defending The Run, Quality Back Ups in case of injuries. Maybe a new offensive coordinator as well would help. Need to get rid of the Viking as our QB coach. Free agency starts soon, draft in April and Training Camp kicks off once again in approximately 5 1/2 months. Need to get back to work on the goals Lovie stated when he was introduced to the Chicago media three years ago. Getting thru the first round of the playoffs and then making the bowl is definitely an improvement from last year. Only hope that things continue to get better.

There was about a seventeen minute time of possession difference tonight and I do blame this on Ron Turner for his poor judgement in play calling. I also just found out that Ced Benson went down at the end of the first quarter and it appears that they lost faith in Thomas Jones. Grossman again threw too much off his back foot and got intercepted again. Leaving Indy a short field and not having as many turn overs is part of the difference tonight. I just wish that they would not bank on Grossman so heavily. One day they may get it right. People who need to be relieved of the jobs: 1. Ron Turner 2. Jerry Angelo 3. Rex Grossman I just hope that next season we are able to improve once again and hopefully Tommie and Mike will stay healthy all season. Maybe they will bring in more quality back ups in case the injury bug hits again.

Sounds good enough for me. I just expect that it will work in real life as well.

Why the hell Salisbury Steak is even on the radio in Chicago is still a mystery to me. He is a Viking thru and thru and has his head so far up his ass that he does not know true football any more. The only one who from the panel shows any respect is Marcus Allen. The so called experts call all kiss our collective big fat hairy asses once we win this game once again. I like Peyton however, it is going to hurt to play against Urlacher and the rest of the "D". I also expect Mark Anderson to have another stellar game and get at least one sack if not more.

It will be a bit disappointing if we do not do as we all are expecting. I constantly argue that we have the history and tradition behind us and that we should always be competing for the Lombardi Trophy year in and year out. It will take a little while to get over however, I do not think that there will be any disappointment today. We are Chicagoans, Bear Fans and deserve to receive our 10th League Championship. Anything less will be disappointing. Let the game begin!!!!!!!!

This moron is just as dumbfounding as the rest of the so called expert media moguls who are saying that the Colts will win big. I just do not understand how so many of these so called experts very easily have forgotten the old addage that defense wins games and championships. Even without Tommie and Mike, I believe we still have a far superior defense and I think that based on what Manning said in the article in SI this week, he is scared to have to face Urlacher once again. Manning was glad that Urlacher was hurt in 2004 and Urlacher is still pretty bent that he was out that day. This just adds more fuel to the fire for our team to go out there and prove the so called experts wrong once again.

My wife pointed out recently that the number for the Super Bowl is the same as I am in age. This is Super Bowl XLI and I turned 41 in December.

Man it was not what I wanted to see when I got my mail today. Frickin' Sports Illustrated put Urlacher on the cover with the headline stating, "Waitin' On Peyton". I hope that Da' Bears are able to over come the traditional SI Jinx. Any thoughts on it from everyone?

Great story about Nathan and his mom. Reassures faith in some of these elite athletes being really good people as well. I hope Monica has a great day on Sunday, all the best to her.

Should the Super Bowl be a nuetral site or a home game?
chitownman replied to southsider2k5's topic in Soldier Field
I agree wiht RME JICO on this. I do like the idea of the warm city neutral site and that the game travels however, to use specifics cities so many times is a little unfair to other cities that may be able to benefit from hosting the Big Game of the Year. I do not understand why Detroit received it last year other then the fact the Ford Field is an indoor stadium. I would love to travel to other warm parts of the country to see what they would have to offer football fans and just to see some new cities themselves. -
Iron Mike vs. Da' Colts. Iron Mike 145 Da' Colts Zip. Ditka Rules!!!!!!!!!!!

If it is a close game and we win, I would expect Urlacher to win the MVP and if we are having a helluva game and some how blowing out the Colts that would mean everyone is contributing and it most likely would wind up being Grossman as the MVP. If the Colts do as the so called experts are saying then for sure either way whether it is close or not Manning will be named.

McMahon unfortunately was hurt through out the season. Steve Fuller started the game at Minnesota, Dalls and I believe one or two other games. Steve Fuller directed one of the, if not the worst beating in Dallas history in Texas when the Bears won 44-0.
-
I think that our defense will definitely win this game. I just wish that Tommie and Mike were healthy and able to play in this game as well. I expect Tank to have a good game and Mark to come up big once again. How we got so lucky to find Mark Anderson in the fifth round of the draft and be able to get him is incredible. The front four will be the key to this game so that Manning is not able to pick apart the back seven.

Until Rex learns completely from his mistakes and has a game against a quality opponent in which he is the difference, I still do not see Rex being that good. I am glad that he did not make to many mistakes in the first two playoff games and now comes the biggest game of his career. Michael Irvin & Sean Salisbury were debating who would win MVP of the game and Irvin of course said Manning and Salisbury said that it will most likely be either one of the QBs. If Rex does that well, I may have to change my opinion on a Steve Spurrier system quarterback.

My wife and I are hosting a party once again. I agree that the hard part is going to be having casual fans here that are really not interested in the game. For the last twenty years the Super Bowl to me really has just been another game because we were not there playing for the title. This year we are going to be there and I just do not know how it is going to go. Last year we did not have a party because my wife gave birth to our twins in December 2005 and I joined other members of the Western Association of Crazy Chicagoans & Others (WACCO) in Las Vegas which was pretty fun to be with all the guys. Unfortunately this year there are many scheduling conflicts and there is only going to be about 10 guys there this year. If the Bears get back to the big game next year, I may have to head to Vegas to join everyone. If any one is interested in joining WACCO in Vegas next year, let me know.

Personally I prefer old school like Butkus, Sayers, Payton, Hampton etc. If you really want a Briggs jersey I agree with everyone else to wait until we see what happens and whether or not Angelo will get it done to keep Lance in Chicago.

I want to find a burger joint that will make me a hamburger this BIG with all the fixxings. You know like lettuce, tomato, cheese etc. Or maybe just a big ole steak will serve my appetite.

Ever watch Mariotti on Around The Horn on ESPN? He continuously puts his foot in his mouth and for some reason he has survived on this show. I do not watch the show that much however, for ESPN to think that this goof from the Sun-Times is an expert on Chicago or the National Sports Scene makes me wonder what ESPN is doing. Mariotti is a goof whose fifteen minutes of fame are long over and needs to be removed from the national spot light and removed from the Chicago Sports Scene.

On Cold Pizza on ESPN this morning, Skip Bayless & Pat Forde were discussing the best middle linebacker in Chicago Bears history. Forde definitely felt that it was a toss up between Singletary & Butkus with Urlacher just off the top. Bayless stated emphatically because of his size and speed that Urlacher was number one. I used to like Bayless when he wrote for the Tribune however, I do not agree with him that Urlacher is the best line backer of all time. I still think as Pat Forde does, that it is a toss up between Samuari & Butkus. Who do you feel is the all time best middle line backer Da' Bears ever had?

Super Bowls Line Range From 7-7.5 For Indy

Yet the odds makers are listening to the so called experts on this and they are still saying that Da' Bears are going to loose.
