  7. I think that Louis emerging as a starter is reason for optimism, only surpassed by the optimism I now have after seeing Tice in action with the line. I was thrilled by what I saw of Tice working with the OL. He holds court with them, he teaches them like they're all rookies. And the veterans, guys like Garza and Kreutz, are paying attention and buying into it. He is preparing them. We don't have a ton of talent on this OL. Tice is tapping whatever is there, and he's molding into a unit that will support Mike Martz's offensive system. I feel better about them today than I did a week ago.

  15. I agree with sentiments being that we need a snot bubbling OG. I also felt that Shaffer should have started at RT, with it being his job to lose--most veteran, best track record of being good and recently, etc. As for DT and player development and decisions. This coaching staff should be taken out back and shot. And here's why. Tell me, why would they draft a 290 lb. DL and work him at DE? This scheme, this D, this staff....????? I'm sorry, but it doesn't add up, no way, no how. Gilbert has the skills to be a DE in a Dick Jauron standard 4-3 LDE, or a DE in a 3-4. But in Lovie's D, this guy is a 3 technique from jump (out of the pool) street. Can someond, Lucy, please 'esplain" this to me?

  17. Let me preface this by saying I LOVE Earl Bennett. However, he made some questionable decisions on PR. Gould's miss was important, no doubt. All the other areas were really quite good. Yeah, I coulda gave them an A-, but it's pretty much hair splitting. BTW, Tim Shaw was an excellent pickup. He's a keeper, even if it's only as ST guy. However, I think he might have more upside if we switch to a 3-4 if we have a new staff. We shall see.

  22. No prob--remember, the header is "Receivers" which includes the TE position as well.
