  1. Actually Jason I have to agree with you. I think there is a good possibility of the Jags playing GBP in the SB and I think the Jags might upset everyone and take it all. They have an excellent defense, play tough, are well coached, make very few mistakes, and have a dynamite running back tandem. I would not be surprised to see Jags as champs and of the teams with realistic chances of making it all the way, I like them the best. Do not care much for the Pats, Cowboys, or Packers. The Chargers may be a sleeper here, sure finished up well, but feel they will fall a bit short. PIT, WAS, TEN, NYG, SEA, & TBB are all too vulnerable and inconsistent.

    Draft Position

Oooops, sorry, I was responding to what I thought was the last post in the thread and did not see other pages were present, therefore posted info already offered by others. I guess I am a bit slow, LOL.

    Draft Position

We pick 14th Here is how the order is determined: • The team with the lowest winning percentage at the end of the previous season drafts first in the NFL Draft. • The rest of the teams are placed in order from lowest winning percentage to the highest. • The Super Bowl winner drafts last, even if they do not have the highest winning percentage. • The Super Bowl loser drafts next to last. • Strength of schedule for the previous season is the first tie-breaker for teams with the same winning percentage. • Divisional and conference records are the next step in the tie-breaking procedure. • As a last resort, a coin toss is used to determine the order of selection for teams with the same winning percentage. • If a playoff and non-playoff team end the season with the same winning percentage, the non-playoff team selects before the playoff team regardless of strength of schedule. And here is what I am seeing published as this years draft order: 1) Miami 2) St. Louis 3) Atlanta 4) Kansas City 5) Oakland 6) New York Jets 7) New England (via SF) 8) Baltimore 9) Cincinnati 10) New Orleans 11) Denver 12) Buffalo 13) Carolina 14) Chicago 15) Detroit 16) Arizona 17) Minnesota 18) Houston 19) Philadelphia 20) Dallas (via CLE) 21 to 24) Wild Card Round Losers 25 to 28) Division Round Losers 29 to 30) Conference Championship Losers 31) Super Bowl Loser 32) Super Bowl Winner
  5. I did not realize J Jones was going to be a FA. My guess is he would be expensive. He is a very good RB. Would look great in tandem with Benson behind a GOOD OL.

    Next Year

I would not draft a RB in the first, maybe 2nd or 3rd, but we need to address OL and Safety before RB IMO. I do not think we sign both Briggs & Berrian. Would be nice but too much $$$ I doubt Benson has any significant trade value, especially rehabing from an injury Do we really want to go into next year without agressively adding a QB to compete with Orton / Rex??? We need a new QB to throw into the mix via FA or draft.
  7. I thought Haas looked great in preseason. What the heck happened? I have been waiting 17 weeks to see this kid get a chance and now the season is over. He must be frustrated as hell. It does not make sense to me.
  8. Most WRs take 2-3 yrs to develope & contribute. If we want to replace Moose we will need to draft a prospect but also pick up a vet FA to fill the role while the draftee develops. Not sure what vets would be available but I am sure there will be a few at a reasonable cost.
  9. I agree 100%. The flavor of the day is a pass oriented offense. We need to retool and change our MO to be successful. We have some of the pieces. I think Hester could be another Steve Smith type of WR. Olsen is the real deal. Berrian (if resigned) is a solid receiver who can give you the big play. QB is a question mark as of now and our OL needs a lot of work. There is no reason we can not get these areas fixed through FA and the draft.
  10. Yep, put AP or Romo, not Hester or ANY Bear, I am superstitious, LOL.
  11. One advantage of sticking with Turner and retooling the offense is that we do not have to go through a year or two adjusting to a new playbook and scheme. Let's hope that with a better OL things will swing around for our offense. I would be happy with a team rated in the 10-15 range and a healthy defense. With that we would be dominate.
  12. I would not want to make such an assumption without some kind of proof other than he seems to heal quickly. Maybe he just works hard to keep himself in shape. This guy has recovered quickly from injury for 15 years. That is why he has this unbelievable record of consecutive games played. I think he is just fortunate to be able to play through a lot of pain without it effecting his performance too much and takes care of himself.
  13. So in other words, he had nothing new to say, LOL.
  14. I would not give up on Mike Brown unless the medical staff feels it is a lost cause for him to return effectively &/or a huge cap hit savings could be realized to be used for other needs. I do not think we save anything, maybe lose $$$ by cutting him. I say we keep him and hope he can stay healthy for 16 games!
  15. I agre, officiating sucked but we still kicked their butts and knocked them out of the playoffs 2 years in a row! I love it!
  16. That is outstanding!! I remember before the season started there was speculation by the so-called experts that a player like Hester, after having a big year as a kick returner, sually never equals the acomplishment the next year because of adjustments of teams to him. Well, guess what, as usual, the experts are wrong!! He got only better!!
  17. Yep, Turner is safe, let's hope we repair the holes in the "O" and he does better next year in his play calling and utilization of his players.
  18. Every year there is a player or two that drops down further than expected. If this happens this year let's hope it is a player in a need position for the Bears.
  19. BAD BAD BAD pass by Orton, Ugggghhhhhhh!!!!
  20. Still making Thomas look like an all star RB!!
  21. Wow, a screen play that works!! Nice!!
  22. Agree with you, I am a Bradley fan, wanted to see him get a chance, had a nice TD catch, but needed to haul in that long one from Orton!! Disappointing!!
  23. 3rd Terrible Interference call, one missed against NOS, 2 that should have never been called against the Bears. WTF!
  24. Wow, this game is fun so far!! Hester is the "MAN"!!!!
  25. I'd still love to see D Anderson in a Bears Uni!! Wishfull thinking, I know. Too much $$$$.
