It's interesting how much more confident Fields is to let it rip long when he knows it's a free play. It's a great throw, and the kind of deep ball accuracy we KNOW FIelds has from prior seasons. But I think it reveals his more cautious nature when it isnt a free play. Now of course everyone is more confident on a free play of course - not my point - my point is that Fields has to be confident to let it ri[ when guys are open on regular plays too.

yeah the defense is starting to find an identity the last few games. Ever since we got Sweat really. At the beginning of the season we all spoke about how the defense wouldnt be able to get past a certain point without a pass rush. And now with Sweat, we can see what a difference it makes. We have been building a roster, but like building a stone archway, if you have 2/10 stones in or 9/10 stones it falls either way. But get that last stone in and suddenly it all holds up.

Im just discussing the plays as I see them. If you want me to say more good stuff about Fields, tell him to do a better job! EDIT: this doesnt start with me not liking Fields, and then looking for evidence, youve got it backward. I see what I see, and that causes my opinion. I hate that people think it starts with my arbitrary opinion first. It's so annoying.

Ok, so see that pass to Mooney? It looks good. a nice wide open receiver across the middle and Fields throws it. But it was still a half second late. In that case it didnt matter, but even in that excellent situation, Fields STILL hesitates.

crap. Moore is down. he is not a RB. come on. We have a bunch of excellent RBs, and we run our QB and WR.

I think sometimes new players do well until coaches figure out how to stop them. Or maybe said another way, once they shine then coaches put more resources into stopping them.
