I would take Fields as he is today over WIlliams. Can I trust that Fields will be like this going forward? No I cant. But I had never seen him do it before. I would even say the flashes we saw didnt have this urgent tempo - Fields' drops had the urgency of a 13 year old being asked to clean their room. It was always dragging, lazy, not in it to win it. Today is different. It's nothing Ive seen before from him. So Ill say again - Im not a hater, I dont have a negative narrative Im rooting for. I just see what I see, and today is everything Ive worried about, turned around.

sometimes it takes a view of your own demise to finally get you focused. Fields seems to have more urgency than Ive ever seen from him. His tempo even in his footwork and drops isnt slow like it has been his whole career until today. Got a fire under his butt. Could change everything.

for sure - or if they trade down and take one of the other great WRs that wouldnt suck either.

damn - great ball location from Fields. Fields is a different player today than I have ever seen from him in regards to pocket passing. Great to see.

I think when Fields runs on purpose, theyre gonna treat him more like a running back. And that's especially true when he takes advantage of the last second slide. Its not fair, but I think thats the reason.
