I think that has to do with the difference between the Cover 2 and the Tampa 2. I think Edmunds would be an Urlacher in Tampa 2, but that's not Eberflus' thing.

I see that too - my gut reaction is it's coaching, but I want to see the film later this week to see if they are doing something creative to us to make that happen.

JF is a great rusher on the edge, and up the middle when pass plays break down and the defense is spread out. They stuffed him up the middle on 3rd down.

So having Mooney be your lead blocker, and asking a WR to carry a guy several yards on his back, might not be the best thing. I know Moore has done it before, but those were DBs, not LBs.

true, and we definitely need an upgrade at center, but if Fields was getting the ball out fast, it wouldnt be the same issue. Try counting seconds (correlated with how many steps his drop is) before Goff releases, then count those seconds for Fields and see if Fields is touched before you get to the point where Goff releases.

and that's coaching. you gotta have a response to something like that.
