  1. YES. If we like Foles in the short term for next year, we take an OLT int he first, and QB in the second or third. We could also use an ILB, S, and a kicker!!
  2. Oh and one more point - since we wont be extending Trubisky, and wont need all that money to do it, we probably have the $ now to extend ARob, and waiting on Trubisky's devolopment was probably what was holding it up.
  3. Well we will draft one next year for sure.
  4. you could see it just in the WRs' body language.
  5. Dont forget Montgomery too, but yes, Monty, Patterson and Nall are all more power guys, we need a squirty little Dennis Gentry type.
  6. adam, I agree with everything you said.
  7. 1) Is Foles the starter now? 2) Should Foles be the starter now? For me, I hope #1 is a yes but i dont know what this staff thinks, and whether they are willing to move on, but #2 is an absolute yes for me.
  8. I agree, and I also agree that the first few games are like preseason games, that unfortunately count. We've gotten lucky / played well, and we have two wins which is great, and soon the team should start to gel. Then we can see what we've got. Heck, even the 1985 Bears didn't really come together even at 2-0 until the Monday Night game against the Vikings. Not that this team is that one! And also, yes, Johnson looks great - plugging in a rookie at CB and getting that kind of productivity is rare. For a second rounder, it's even more rare. Pace gets credit for this one, even as he takes the blame for others. Also, the more I see film stufy, the less I'm sure about Leno, but so far 2-0 lets keep it rolling.

    Nick Foles

Absolutely. Get some picks, and open up some cap room for Robinson.
  10. good points adam, and of course I agree. Im just saying, based on what I've seen it's too early to say this team is "good" - they do seem to have a lot of talent, but they need it to gel, especially on the defensive front, and, as always, in the rhythm of the playcalling. This week was much better than last week in that regard I am glad to say.
  11. If the Detroit RB had caught the ball, we would have lost. It wasnt a definitive win over the Giants either. I'm happy with where we are ranked right now. Id love to keep piling up wins and move up the rankings, but there's no reason to get there prematurely. This probably helps the team, keep the fire lit etc.
  12. Great player. Great human. I met him once, he was gracious and open. Call me a fan of the man, all the way around.
  13. agree. and last year Leno was consistently blocking the wrong man. so it wasnt just a matter of winning, but even knowing who to hit. I didnt see any of that this past week, so if that's Castillo, then great. Nothing would make me happier than if Leno played great this season, last year i couldnt even imagine it was possible, but I was assuming Hiestand knew what he was doing, which was a pretty reasonable assumption. So now either Castillo is a miracle worker, or Hiestand wasnt any good anymore. Or Leno will regress. But whatever it was or is i wont ever know, but if they keep blocking the run, I wont be a hater at all on Leno.
  14. I assume you mean Montgomery, and yeah he looked good to me too, but AP had 6.6 YPC against us in the same game. Their total YPC on offense might have been lower, but AP carved us up. Also, thank goodness their other RB dropped that easy pass in the endzone, or we'd have lost.
  15. it didnt cost anything, and being a pussy sucks
  16. lol, well owning it WAS the bet hahaha The more i saw, the more Leno looked good. If he plays well this season, I'm gonna blame Hiestand for last season.
  17. Well, opening day happened, and Leno was the starting LT, so Stringer was right, he won the bet and I lost. I also think Leno played Ok today. He had a couple bad moments, but by and large, I give him a B. I'll still reserve judgement to see how he holds up against other pass rushers he will face, so as to whether I am right that he needed to go or was too hasty, I suppose that remains to be seen. I still get to complain about him if he sucks again LOL But today, he played OK, and Stinger was right, and won the bet.
  18. we will see how well they compensate for the loss of Goldman. If it has to be the ILB that make first contact, then AP could be averaging 4 YPC and that means a lot of first downs. I'm not predicting that, I'm just saying I hope the DL takes care of the run too.
  19. stopping AP will be job #1 for sure.
  20. they said he had a personal issue, and now his ankle is tweaked. How much do you wanna bet that he was goofing around doing something he wasnt supposed to be doing, and tweaked his ankle.
  21. this sounds very much like the plan they must be thinking - but it really means they havent been able to make a decision yet.
  22. nothing just pride. but youre looking like youre going to win.
  23. Quinn will play 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE, but Edwards is a 3-4 DE and a 4-3 DT.
  24. hahaha yes. and we are one week away from what really looks like I am going to have to admit you were right about Leno. I still maintain that he is terrible, and the season may prove me right, but I assumed the staff would see it and do something about him, and they surely seem to be starting him. grrr, but I will admit I was wrong when it happens.
