  1. It feels like maybe he was talking back to coaches. I have NO information. That's just what for me fits the data most likely. But Im just making that up, there is no evidence whatsoever. Or maybe he got in trouble with the law. Drinking, fighting, I dunno. Ok, making up stories off the top of my head: Maybe he was out at dinner or something and someone called him a bad word and he hit them, and then told the team about it and was honest. Maybe they dont know if the police will file charges yet. I mean, Im not trying to guess here, Im just trying to sort of define the universe of things it's probably in. I could guess that he was running around naked screaming that he was King George too, but it seems less likely LOL
  2. and also for not starting him out of fear that we need him. Nagy is awesome. I do hope Roquan is OK. I wont guess at what any of this means, I can imagine scenarios where Id be very sympathetic to him, and others where Id think he was a total jerk. But whatever it is, I hope he heals quickly, and returns to being a happy person for himself and a great LB for us.
  3. There is zero chance the bears are going to sign Kaepernick. On QB ability alone. Trubisky's injury is his non throwing shoulder. He should be available in a few weeks unless he needs surgery. I think they will bring up Bray, and stick with Daniels.
  4. Our depth on the D line is awesome. Pace sure does know how to draft defense. Great effort by a lot of different guys on the DL today. Since we won, and looked good, no one will ask about Roquan. But it gives me questions.
  5. he is an excellent sub, and Pagano seems to know when to have him in, and when to have Pierre-Lewis in there. Kwit is also good on special teams.
  6. Kwitkowski is good against the run, but cant keep up on drag routes. I love the guy, because I believe he hustles his butt off, and he has gotten closer to his ceiling than most do. But hes not a starter, hes too easy to exploit in the passing game. Just not fast enough.
  7. you know, if smith is being reprimanded, so be it. i dont know what personal means. but if he is choosing not to stand with his team today, itd have to be for a very good reason. we forgave him for holding out. if his mother is dying, im going to understand. but it better be something real if its his choice.
  8. we're supposed to stop the hottest back in the league and we don't have hicks or smith. nice. i'll say this too. i respect kwitkowski a lot because i think he is performing near to his ceiling. i am impressed by his ethic. but he is what he is, and there is a book on how to beat him in the passing game. he just doesnt have the speed for certain coverages. and the vikings know all about it.
  9. shit! what could personal mean? maybe hes being punished? what the heck is going on. thanks very much for sharing that.
  10. Well we know on the throw that Amos intercepted in the end zone, we had shown that play at least three other times in the game, including 8 plays earlier, and Amos said in interviews after "we knew where the ball was going, we had JUST seen the same play from the same formation"
  11. They were being kind when they said Howard wasnt a great receiver. What they didnt say was that the guy needs three stutter steps to make a cut and change direction. That is why they got rid of him.
  12. Bears just rotating the bottom of the roster. They are both still "on the team" but not available. Kind of like an unprotected practice squad. For example,. another reason the bears took so long to pick a kicker is so that the other one would be familiar with the coaches etc, in case we need him. Pace is doing a great job.

I see it that way too. The entire Offense looks rusty and out of rhythm, and is slowly finding itself. Then again, we've only lost one game, and we 100% avoided injuries in the preseason. So maybe Nagy's gamble is paying off? Still it's not one I'd have made. We were 'this close' to 0-2... Also, Long looks awful.
  14. I wonder if Antonio Brown can kick...
  15. yes! This would be a good week to break out.
  16. theres blame to go around, the offensive line certainly deserves its share. And playcalling has been spotty. And lets give respect to the Packers D too. Broncos too. But nonetheless, either Trubisky thrives, or he doesnt. And thats how he will be judged.
  17. It means also that Mahomes is making good reads, finding the open receivers. One thing to really not is Jay Cutler. Not only did he try to throw the ball into really tight spaces, he didnt get the statistical positive outcome of making that work often enough to show up as EPA too. Since interceptions factor the same as completions here, one assumes Brett Favre would be all alone in the upper right corner. Very aggressive, and still getting EPAs.
  18. Grizz, agree, and Nagy will get a pass if Trubisky fails, bec ause he wasnt part of the team that drafted him. Pace will take the hit, but he has done enough to probably be able to weather that, especially with Nagy's support. So, either Trubisky wakes up, or we will be trading too much to draft a QB again, and honestly if that's what happens, Im Ok with it - I think Pace and Nagy will pick a winner. So I dont trust Trubisky or know which way he is going (Im rooting for him, but I dont have rose colored glasses about it) but I DO trust Pace and Nagy to bring us a championship.
  19. If Trubisky doesnt improve this year, they will find another QB for next year. Maybe a rookie who starts by week 5 or something. Im not saying Trubisky wont improve. I see it as like 50/50, and Im not making a prediction. What I am saying is that he doesnt have this year AND NEXT to prove it. He has to show big growth soon or its over. Our team is too stocked, and the window is open now. Pace and Nagy wont wait two more year if the light doesnt come on.
  20. yeah but this isnt a matter of not seeing stats. We can all see the offense is out of rhythm, and the head coach openly speaks about it too. It just is. And there is blame to go around. Can it be fixed? I hope so, I think it can, but I'm not in the business of predicting that, I want to SEE it and then say that it happened. And I think that's totally fair and right. They have so much potential we aren't seeing, but this isn't a potential year, it's a real football year. So get it done Bears offense. We are rooting for you, but we don't trust you. Make us believers. Go DO it.
