totally agree on both points. holding on the OL, and we didnt deserve to win today. I half expected this, as we meet tougher opponents, we are going to have to learn to elevate ourselves to match and overtake them. Hard lessons.

Flus isn't good at 4th and 1, timeouts and challenges. Of course that's not the main problem today, but it's still true. The 4th and 1 over-aggressive mistake is something he keeps doing. We also have lots of stupid penalties and come out flat in the first quarter. I dont love him as head coach, but today it's the players that need to do better.

for sure - the team has to learn to toughen up against harder opponents. Maybe we can do that before the game slips away, or maybe it happens in practice this week, but Id sure like to steal this one.

I think every time this team encounters a higher level of opponent, they will get their lip bloodied. How they come out after halftime will say a lot. This game is far from over, I know we all agree.

yeah he's missing assignments horribly, but he is winning the physical battles with the guy he chooses to block, so maybe theres hope. he is a smart guy. Yale and all. He should eventually clean that stuff up. better than if he was being physically beaten i suppose.

I was talking about going for it on 4th and 1 from your own 40 down 6 in the second quarter. That's crap. Especially with a good defense and world beating punter. I typed that when it happened. I could argue that Flus also had them flat to start the game, but youre right, the major problems on offense are on the players.
