  1. Either they are doubling down on Mitch or they are blowing smoke. Either way, they're gone if they don't make the playoffs IMO. Peace
  2. The Bears did not have a TE with 100 yards receiving for the year for the first time since the 1960s. This has to be a priority to fix in the offseason. Realistically, Burton is back given his cap # and, hopefully, he can be the player he was in 2018 but they need to bring in another veteran. Shaheen and Sowell can go. Peace
  3. Coward was out yesterday. I believe you meant Daniels. Peace
  4. Nice pipe dream but it won't happen. Also, no way, no how do I want Harbaugh coaching the Bears. Peace
  5. The Bears were without 2 of their starting defensive linemen (Hicks and Goldman) and their 2 starting middle linebackers (Smith and Danny T). On offense, they were playing their 3rd string right guard, 2nd string right tackle, 4th/5th and 6th TE and their 2nd WR was 4th string (with Gabriel out and Miller going out early in the game). Peace
  6. The offense looked best in the Dallas game. Defense looked best in the Vikings game. Peace
  7. I agree with all this except trading Leno simply because no one is going to trade for him. I love the idea of Childress as OC and Rivera as DC but Chico will be a head coach again next year. Peace
  8. Pace and Nagy have this next year to turn this around. They lost any credit they had from last year with this shit-show of a season. Peace
  9. Smart move - just shut him down. https://www.bleachernation.com/bears/2019/12/21/akiem-hicks-ruled-out-for-sundays-game-vs-chiefs/ Peace
  10. Connorbear replied to AZ54's topic in Bearstalk
Agreed. Nagy has next year to fix this. In his favor, they have an easy 3rd place schedule and, if things go right, should win at least 10 to 12 games. But they have to run the ball to take the pressure off of Mitch. Peace
  11. Miller has 2 more years on his rookie contract. No need to do anything until after next season. I'd redo Robinson's deal in the offseason. Peace
  12. Trubisky wasn't the problem today. We have a better roster 1 to 52. They just happen to have one of the best QBs of all time playing for them right now. Peace
  13. Connorbear replied to Bill's topic in Bearstalk
    It's pretty cool. Peace
  14. I'd have no problem extending him with a reasonable contract (similar to what he has now). Peace
  15. The NBA is definitely second. Peace
  16. The NFL has the worst officiating of any professional sport and it isn't even close. It is embarrassing how bad it is given the revenue the league makes. Peace
  17. The title to this thread is that Eddie is the worst kicker in the league. I wasn't looking at total points in the stats. I was looking at made/missed kicks within the stats and I was simply pointing out he is not the worst kicker in the league. Is he disappointing? Yes. Does he need competition next year? Yes. So do a lot of players on the team. Peace
  18. Here is another look at the stats in the league this year. Eddie is hardly the worst kicker in the league. There are several kickers that have missed more FGs and extra points than him. Peace https://www.footballdb.com/stats/stats.html?mode=K
  19. Gould is probably with the 49ers for next year as he has a $5.1 million cap hit if cut. Peace
  20. These are stats for kickers in their tenure with a team and I am not sure why Janikowski and Bryant are on this list as they are no longer in the league. Parkey only played a few games this year for Tennessee and was 16 for 22 last year for the Bears from 30-to 49 yards. FG/EP kicking is way down this year in the league and we have seen several players struggle with Eddie being one of them. However, I believe I did here he does lead the league in touchbacks on kickoffs. I think Eddie will have competition next summer and will be given the opportunity to win the job. Peace
  21. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!! Peace
  22. I like Miller but he needs to be more disciplined. I think he could be an outstanding player if he does. Peace
  23. They can negotiate a lower-priced deal with him, keep at the 5th-year option price or cut him. Peace
