All cynicism aside, I really never expected this putrid a performance. If I thought it made a difference I would be worried about next weekend, but with this defense and lack of cohesiveness from this offense, nothing is going to happen in the playoffs

Somewhere, dark and creepy Aaron Rodgers is smiling
-
Riley Frickin Cooper
No pressure, where the f is SMC & Big Money Peppers. Every run is for 5 or more yards. Conte should be taking orders at Jack in the Box as soon as the season is over. Mel can be his shift supervisor. No tackling skills whatsoever
-
woo hoo, we're back in the game.
Second half is the right time to pull this one off
-
So what does Trestman do at halftime? Punt? Head out for a pretzel ala Coach Klein?
-
sad, very sad. It's like watching Alabama playing the local neighborhood pee wee league
-
Both Forte blocks, he does not launch into the block, its like he thinks he can just absorb their rush, he cant
-
I'm done with this game. I can't even type I'm so mad right now. If Rodgers comes back next week, the season is OVA.
Rodgers will be back next week
-
Twice tonight Forte blocks like a bitch
-
Now they are cookin, need a TD here though
-
They should implement a mercy rule in the NFL. If you are winning by 30 points in the 2nd half, the game should just be over.
LOL :notworthy

Holy shit, a punt.
Let's go offense, need to get some points
-
Another thing, I think this team is one of the worst tackling Bear's squad I have witnessed in a long, long time.
-
UGLY
When we fire Mel Tucker in the offseason, do the Bears bring in Jim Schwartz as the coordinator JK
I know this defense is old, I know our safeties suck donkey but Foles is looking like Peyton Manning
-
Great news. Now the Bears just need to take care of business tonight!

You guys act like a QB having a little rebel in him is a bad thing. Where would the 85 Bears be if #9 was a yes man?
Having a little rebel in you is not a bad thing at all. But that team had the best damn defense ever and the best running back ever. Jimmy Mac had the latitude with those guys having his back. Cutler does not have the defense to cover him if those rebel moments lead to turnovers.

Bears win 42 - 38

You probably should have checked the stats. Marshall and M Bennett for 6 receptions each. Alshon for 5, E Bennett for 4. I don't give a shit what the targets stat says, the receptions stat shows a damn good distribution.
But all of this is irrelevant. The only people talkin about McCown being better than Cutler are dopes on the Internet. The professionals are singing Jay's praises for a reason. Sorry for being so blunt but I'm sick of this BS.
Still haven't reviewed the numbers but targets would count to me, I interpret an over reliance on Marshall, which I also interpret as an less than comfortable feel for the offense, as Trestman might run it, I did not say that McCown is better than Cutler. I would like nothing better than Jay to be the man going forward. For that matter it may just take him longer to embrace the offense. The fact is Cutler's skill set is greater than McCown, I just don't know if he has fully bought in. Plain and simple.
-
Before I stick my foot in my mouth, since I have not ran the numbers but with Jay's return last game it looked like he fell back on looking for Marshall. I'd need to go back and look at the target allocations under McCown compared to Cutler. Just the eyeball test looked like he was opting for Brandon, which to me would be a sign he is not working within Trestman's offense as comfortably as McCown.

Prediction: Rodgers plays Sunday, scrambles out of the pocket, heads downfield. Sensing pressure, he hugs tight to the sideline, waiting for the optimal moment to step out of bounds when Mike Tomlin applies his hipcheck; Check and mate on Rodgers
-
Roger that.
Wow, who knew that SMC could have been such a determiniing factor in the NFC North race? Terra, what say you?
Not to speak for TT but hopefully SMC resurfaces this week to "take out" McCoy :D

There was once quite a bit written about Cutler "seeing" ghosts. In other words phantom pressure. I am not saying that is happening all the time but it impacts his play. Tonight is a true team loss though. SCS is right, this OL sucks tonight, Forte blocks for shit and Tucker's defense is the worst I have ever witnessed and I go back quite a bit with this team.
