I agree, at pick 10 you need to get a BPA especially a a premium position like LT, DE/3T. We better not be near 10 or 15 ever again while Caleb is our QB. Get that premium position locked in while you can.

Some positions I see possibly filled in draft. Rd1- LT Will Campbell, Kelvin Banks, Armand Membou, Josh Simmons Rd1-trade down: Grey Zabel G, Booker G, RD2 -DT- NT - Ken Grant, Tyliek Williams, Alfred Collins, Deone Walker RD2- RB Omarion Hampton, Kaleb Johnson, Treyveyin Henderson Rd3- S Kevin Winston, Lathan Ransom,

Safety has always been on my radar and the draft seems relatively deep there. As much as I would love to see Brisker be a core leader on this team, he and the team has to consider his health. The sad part is that he knows he needs to survive a year to get paid to secure everything he has already gone thru. Possibly why he sat out the last part of the season. I think round 3 could be a sweet spot to start. Few names below. Round2 maybe a Xavier Watts from ND gets the nod. Kevin Winston Jr Penn St 6-1 215 Lathom Ransom Ohio St 6-0 206 Billy Bowman OK 5-9 192 Malachi Moore Alabama 5-11 196 Jaquan Brisker measured at 6-1 200.

It's tough because there are a few other really good backs. I say sell the heck out of Jentry to drive his price

Jayden Daniel's gets an elite LT to protect his blindside. Commanders trade for Larry Tunsil. Cost 3rd and 7th this year and a 2nd and 4th in 2026.

Dalman to Bears - 3yr 42M ($28M Guaranteed)

He's also on his last leg. They are going big or they will be sent home -
Monday can't get here quick enough. Get the big signing out of the way and wait for deals.
-
I just took him in a draft buzz mock. I read more into his profile and I like it.

We will see. Edmunds sure found ways to find the ball after the play was over like he was avoiding contact. But Flus D might have kept him in coverages They say Allen's MLB has more freedom to play the ball, so I hope edmunds earns his big pay days and makes up for the last 2 years

LG typically need to be better pass blockers since they do help protect the blindside. Since the Right side ends up with the "left" over talent, they tend to be road graders and teams run behind them more often. The LG is usually more agile to pull also. Other than that, it is muscle memory. Since they are both LG by repetition, we want the best pass blocker to protect Caleb. Jackson is not know to be a road grader, so can he elevate if moved to RG

Ive seen 41-45 estimated. Thuney could save a little if they extend him 2-3 more years. I cannot see 16 or 20 million/year to a player his age, so guessing 10-12 million. If that is the case, they might be able to free up 2 million this season. Gordon would be a year early, so it shouldn't cost much more. It depends on how they spread it out. 3 year 33 million is an estimate I've seen. So maybe they add 2 million to this year and the next 3 have 10 million hits. Santos - Bears can cut him and save 2 million w 2 million in dead space. Ryan Bates - cut saves 4 million Tremaine Edmonds - maybe he will rework his contract. Owed 17 mill this year and 17 next, but can be cut next year to save 13 mil. If he was smart, he'd look to add a year and spread the guarantee out

I watched that pod this evening too. He mentioned Thuney playing RG bc he is so versatile and leaving Jackson at LG. We will see. I think the Bears add to the Dline in FA also at DE and DT, along w Center. The draft might have 5 top tier players and then it is good thru round 2. I'd draft at least 1 oline and dline with the first 4 picks. Then it could be safety, rb, or double dip on the lines.

I'm down. Either Zabel or Simmons would make me happy.
-
More moves - Resigned Josh Blackwell and signed TE Durham Smythe

I'll add that LB Jack Sanborn will not be back. LB might be a need unless Sewell can get his butt into playing significant time. -
Exactly. The DLine and Oline is pretty deep and a guy we can take at 10 could be graded similiar at 39. Jentry might be too good to pass. I tought investing in a stud RB is a year early for the Bears, but I didn't see a Thuney or Jackson being added to the interior. FA starts next week and we might be happy with the O/D lines and can take a game changer.

I understand and preach building the trenches. This is more the case if they sign Dalman for Center and sign a DE like Josh Sweat or Kahlil Mack. The would still have 2nd round picks to get developmental prospects for the trenches.

The Bears were almost 80 mil under the cap a week ago. The two G's we traded for cost us nothing in 2026 unless we resign them. The cap is projected to go up another 20 million in 2026 and that will put the Bears around 80-90 million under the cap without figuring Gordon or Brisker. The Bears cannot be cheap anymore. I'd prefer a LT or DE with the first Rd pick, but if Jentry is a once a decade RB, I can live with it regardless of what is tied to Swift.
-
Why not, the nfl will raise the cap 20 million again next year. Buy your team now while we have the cap space and don't p@ssyfoot because this is about the only window we have with 3 years left before paying Caleb. Yes 3, he will demand an early pay if he is who we thought he'd be.
-
I am liking it and it makes the draft a wildcard. Campbell or Graham if they fall, Jentry if we feel he's the icing on the cake, Starks at safety, or trade down and help fill depth with good potential for the future.
-
Joey Bosa DE released by Chargers. Does he have anything left to bring.
-
Thoughts on double dipping on LG with these trades? It's looking like Johna Jackson might be depth or maybe Center after giving a 2026 4th for Thuney. Not sure Jackson can play RG, he is not known as great road grader. I am happy the Bears are addressing the oline. Sign Dalman for the trifecta and sign a DE to give Sweat some help and draft BPA. Jentry might be the guy if they can get some more big guys before draft day.
-
Jarron Gilbert - the jump out of the pool kid.
-
It helps to open all doors. If they sign Kahlil Mack as rumored, that opens it wider. Zeiter and Dalman and who knows, they can take anyone like Simmons or Jentry. The DL is deep, they can get good players in round 2 or 3.
-
Since NIL, the draft is not as deep as before. Poles will spend 6, or 7th rounders to bring in guys that can start rather than draft someone that will be practice squad most likely. In last years draft 16 players in the 6th round played 10 or more games and 10 players in 7th round played 10 or more games. They traded for a guy who can start all 17 if he can stay healthy. If he doesn't work out, they don't owe him anything in 2026 if they cut him.
-
Bears making a trade with Rams for LG Jonah Jackson One of the better pulling guards if he can stay healthy. A 2025 6th round pick is it. This helps fill a need and costs a pick that would have been a developmental player at best.
