If the Membo hype stays alive, since I don't think 3 OTs go before we pick. I think the Bears would take Campbell or Banks because they both have played the position and Roushar can get them polished to play. Banks I think has the better tools to succeed but I don't discount Campbell's drive.

I think a lot of writers made Banks a preferred guard at 6'4 and 33" arms. Then at the combine he measured 6'5 and 33.5" arms. Let him compete with BJone and KArmedje, I want the cream to rise.

I tend to agree that he isn't top 10 hype and more 20-32, only because this draft isn't deep. I think the Mitchell Evans from Notre Dame can be a sleeper bc their QB would rather run the ball than throw. He could be taken round 5.

Kaleb will be gone in round 2, Scattebo, I would think goes round 3. If the Bears cannot afford to spend a 2nd, I am good with Scat in rd3. I don't see him surviving more than 4 years of NFL with his gritty style. He also needs to drastically improve in pass pro.

The talk is to move Edward's to Mike and Edmunds to Will. Edmunds may not like it, but his size and athleticism are better for coverage (that Will LBs do more in Allen's D). As for drafting someone high to be the 3rd LB to replace Sanborn, it's not a priority in a D that is in Nickel 60%. They will use a 7th rd pick to get a backer like Nick Martin, Oklahoma St who can blitz. Kyler Gordon will see more time on the field being that CB/S/LB making plays like CJ Gardner-Johnson.

Clay Harbor was on the score said the Bears could go Banks. He doesn't understand the non love he is getting. He won the outland trophy, only missed a game or two his whole college career, would be better than Braxton out the gate. But his projection is 15-20, so do the Bears reach. He favors adding a TE and even said don't be surprised to see the Bears draft RB#2 at 10.

And the way it looks, the 1st Rd RB will be gone at 6. The Bears need to hype up Membo, Warren, and Walker and pray 2 or 3 QBs go. I'd love to see Campbell and Banks there at 10 to see who they would take. Couple more arm length tidbits. I believe I read the Edmunds had to play deep, like Urlacher in Flus's D. Which would have taken him out of the immediate action for runs since the D lines gap responsibilities would funnel the ball to Edward's. Allen's D is ran different and supposedly Edmunds and Edward's will be open to attack the ball. The DBs would be more man It will be interesting to watch this form. It might fit Stevenson and Johnson better too.

Clear your cards! We have a Bingo. The Bears have to become successful at drafting and developing O and D lineman. They have been trading picks and paying for FAs for far too long. Draft the best LT and DT in round 1 and 2. Draft line every year until you are set with youth in the top 3 rounds. The silence on the top OT tells me they are blowing smoke.

The combine is starting to become irrelevant for the top of the class, but completely agree you need to have heavy grades set before the combine can affect that weight you set with your eyes.

Arm Length is important to Poles, but what about Johnson? Found this tidbit tonight. Finding a top RB looks to be a priority. He'd be a guy to draft if they happen to trade down w Pittsburgh who could move up for a QB.

I agree and think they should plug the few holes they have first on oline and dline. I just have a feeling the Bears will take Jeanty or Warren. I won't regret it if they get two rd 2 studs like Ersery or Conley at LT or Grant or Nolen at DT.

Ben Johnson is not going to run the Detroit Lion offense. He will mode the offense to the talent he has. He has said this, he has hired coaches he knows little about, and he has players that are different, so this is a whole new beginning. All we know is he likes to scheme to attack defenses. I think they want more at RB than Swift and Roschon, so getting a guy who is more might mean rd2 or Jeanty if he falls to 10. The Bears haven't run the ball well for a few years and could use a top 100 player at that position.

I was close on the Gordon deal prediction .

I called it crazy when the Lions took Gibbs and a mlb round 1. Their roster was stocked decently with talent, so it wasn't completely out of line and maybe ahead of the curve. They paid the price this season not getting more talent at DE. I would personally rather see them continue building the lines. If Poles/Johnson see Jeanty so much better than what's in the league now and the rest of the draft, I would embrace it.

Who can the Bears get next year or the year after that might be as good when drafting in the 20s? They should be a winning team the next 3-4 years, so they might not get the same shot at a talented O-linemen. Plus other positions of need are deep this year besides DE. I doubt they extend Thuney, the Bears gave money to Jonah Jackson and Drew Dahlman for 3 years. They have an opportunity to draft a guy this year to take his spot and save 15+ million. Either Kiran or the draftee will stay at LT the other at LG. If Thuney takes a discounted, 2 year 22-24 million, maybe but he might want 20 a year for 3 years. They will also have to pay Wright at that time.

Since I do not see the Bears extending Thuney, Braxton being limited come TC and on his last year, and Kiran going to need a real TC to get coached, they need a top prospect that can be LT/G. Campbell, Banks, Simmons, Ersery and Donovan Jackson are names the Bears need to consider. Poles said the Bears will bring in competition at LT, they are thinking short and long term, meaning they are serious about bringing in a player who could challenge Kiran at the start of camp. Braxton will be in the mix but he is expected to start late and they cannot bet on him having no set backs. Long term, they will need someone to replace Thuney at G and Braxton at LT, which would be Kiran or the draftee. If Jeanty is gone, my prediction is the top LT is our pick.

I am not saying for the Bears to do this, only that this is an option being discussed. He has been slotted top 6-10 since January by experts and writers. He is the same size as Jamyr Gibbs, 5'9 202 lbs, who the Lions took at 12. If Poles and Ben Johnson want him, they can see if drops to 10 or move up.

It is rumors, not actually reports. The only truth to the Bears and Jean try is they have spoken to coaches.

If the Bears believe he is the type of RB that would elevate the offense, it is possible. I would prefer taking the best LT, DT, or DE myself, but there is chatter that the Bears really like Jeantry.
