The luck of the schedule helped the Bears dominate the Jaguars. Jacksonville opted to leave late and the hurricane didn't make matters better.
-
If he falters, the fan base will be calling for Fields. Let's hope he has rust.
-
They get a choice after the London trip. They can even deny the trip. Last year the NFL had KC vs Bears for Frankfort Germany and one of the teams opted not to travel.
-
Let's hope some of these players we don't see now can be surprises down the stretch when teams haven't accounted for them.
-
Seems a bit early but this was the Bears choice to take it after London. Otherwise they would have had a home game this week. A bye in between the coming gauntlet might have given them the time to heal and better prepare.

I don't have NFL network and live a mile south of the Chicago/Champaign cut off line. So I missed the game but seen highlights. Sounds like Caleb had another progression in his development. I feel he passed the test and now it's on the oline and defense to bring us to the playoffs. The talented weapons on O is there and the QB can play.
-
The key is after this year, the contract is not guaranteed. Sounds like he will be traded to the Jets. Will it be a one year and cut situation is to be seen.
-
He signed there to play with his college QB Derek Carr. Now that he is in New Orleans and the Raiders don't have any hope to win anything meaningful, he wants out. I don't blame him, he is 31 and probably wants a shot at a ring. The Raiders would be better off getting draft capital to help rebuild too so it could be mutual.
-
To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan when drafted. I had other positions higher in my priorities. He turned into a gem.

Chase mentioned they need to ditch the pro offense and spit the field in half for Caleb and let him work under a college format. Heck no, if they change their plan it might make him look better for a few games, but eventually defense will scheme to take that half of the field and then what. Let him learn how to play the whole field now and when the game starts slowing down for him he will be harder to contain covering 54 yds compared to 27 yds (width of field). Next year they can reinforce the o-line and they need to really dig deep into blocking assignments and make sure the players they have know them amd can do them. Otherwise the player(s) or the scheme needs fixed.

I threw the comp out for Herbert but it slipped my mind on Keenan Allen. That is also in the formula with Poles as they seem to cover their bases even if they have made some mistakes. Allen is practicing today, so will be a go Sunday. It would be good to see Caleb spread the ball and get Moore, Allen, Odunze, and Kmet involved and a breakout game is had by the O.
-
No feet and long arms. He only knows how to use the arms. Make him do quick chopping drills until he learns to use those feet.

If Velus showed any promise to be a #3, Herbert would be more expendable. So for now, Herbert is valuable depth on the roster and imo not being shopped. That does not mean the Bears are not listening if they get a call. Poles has a price set on all players. Rumors out the say Dallas or KC are potential suitors for Herbert. The return mentioned is a 6th and 7th. To me, keep him and when he signs elsewhere next year, if he gets paid well, the Bears will be compensated then. Another rumor starting to heat up is KC trading for Keenan Allen with the injury to Raseed Rice. Of course, Devante Adam's is on the block, but would the Raiders trade to a division rival? Would you be okay sending Allen for a 3rd or 4th rd pick?
-
I wonder what the deal is with Scott? After the last preseason game, it was mentioned on the Score that he must be in the doghouse because he played the entire game. Velus- how can he have any trade value? He has no hands, no position, and no confidence. Right now, I'll take a bag of balls haha. All kidding aside, I root for him to get his chance to shine and it happens for him. Amegadje- with his injury, I think the Bears projected his absence the first 3-4 games. We have cleared those, so if a door opens, he better be ready. Not being available early on is crucial for a high pick, but securing the LT position is worth it even if it takes a year. I'm okay with this so far.

Seattle fans were happy about seeing Waldron go and Grubb takeover. Grubb put together some great offenses at the University of Washington. There is plenty to read on the internet. I went searching after the hire and made a comment about not getting too excited about Wheres Waldo. He won't be taking the job from Flus. If anything the Bears have Thomas Brown who did some learning under McVay as his assistant HC.

He has a fire ignited and maybe the threat of Roschin taking his job got him digging harder. Glad to see it -

All it takes is confidence. Once they find out they can do it, it builds more and watch out.
