  1. But he wants looks with the D out there. And he want to see those routes against different coverages
  2. Listened to that. He said they need more reps in practice. He wants looks with different coverages. That had me wondering what that has to do with his accuracy. But I did take it as a jab at coaching.
  3. DJ stepped off the field because he became an ineligible receiver by stepping out of bounds. Did he step out on purpose? Was he injured since he limped a little? But since he was not forced out, he couldn't be a target.
  4. Herbert will rack up the yards and the Bears will look foolish again. At least we got a 7th, we might find our future LT again.
  5. I heard the Bears gave Herbert permission to seeka trade. We will find out tomorrow if he finds a team.
  6. The whole world knows he can play but the Bears. I see so many forced plays to Allen and his hands are MIA. Why don't they scheme to get the ball to kmet instead. With this dream team offense, they seem to be lost on what to do. Such a waste of talent.
  7. I starting to get tired of watching CW drop back, dance, try and scramble and then throw too deep. The guy has no timing. What happened to 1 sec, 2 sec, 3 pass.
  8. Flus gave them 3 points. Stick a fork in this team and the development of CW could be lost. Hell, Daniel's and Nix both look good regardless of the types of systems they are letting the play.
  9. Words of encouragement...from coach Flus:"I told the guys we at least have each other"
  10. Then I'd say Davis is riding the pine. Everything I heard (the Score) is Borum is ready and they will play him.
  11. Borum is ready to go. Jenkins will give it a shot. Davis better put in some good tape if he wants another job. Bears need to establish the run to help the line and give CW balanced looks.
  12. In a way, it was tongue in cheek. But realistically, they might need 3 interior olinemen if Poles reads this forum. It would be dangerous to spend all that draft cap and plan to ride 2 or 3 rookies. That is why I think Jenkins sticks. Kiran displayed some good traits (w some mistakes) in his emergency action. I think they get him and Borum ready if Braxton cannot go and he cleans upnon Blitz reads. I am not finding my Frazier type Center yet in this draft, but hopefully one emerges. RG should be an easier find. If they go 3 lineman, I hope it's for LT rd1, C 2A, and RG 2B. If no LT, get a DE to pair with Sweat.
  13. As much a Ben Johnson intrigues me, I am skeptical about staying on the same cycle we've been on. I don't know why they didn't just go all in on Harbaugh, but my inclination is he was out of our price range and too strong of an ego. The reason why I am skeptical of going with an OC is because they will have a learning curve like Eberflus, Nagy, Trestman.. I want a HC that knows the ins and outs for all aspects of the game and is not afraid to hold his coaches and players accountable. Knowing that establishing the run and sticking to it helps the whole team. Maybe Johnson or Klingsbury can learn fast, but I dont think the Bears can risk signing a new coach for 2 to 3 years to find out.
  14. As of today, those 3 picks all need to be oline. I don't care about the defense. The Bears only concern needs to be on protecting CW. If he doesnt thrive, a great defense doesn't matter unless you want to be mediocre.
  15. Love out, tweaked his knee. Let's go Jags!
  16. Looks like safety will possibly be a draft need. Can't count on Brisker and Gordon has missed his share of games too. Byard fits nice, but is he long term.
  17. I see it more this way. We want Caleb to have a great line to protect him, but putting 2 or 3 rookies in front of him will only put him in harms way. I see it more as they draft a good G and maybe a Center, stick with Jenkins if he survives this season. The you have Kiran and Braxton pushing for LT, a rookie G, Bates and rookie C, Jenkins and Wright. Integrate small pieces so the players don't all have to gel amd they can start 2025 closer to were they left off.
  18. The clips of Jenkins pancaking the Jaquars, especially when he was questionable to play, was impressive I do not see a huge turnover on the line, but a gradual one. Bates has not been available due to injury and has played only sparingly in his career, basically one year as a starter since 2019. I would look at him for depth only. I think Poles keeps Jenkins unless he is too expensive. That puts C, LG, and maybe a LT if a good prospect is available rd1 as finding replacements.
  19. From the Athletic, Bears that are drawing some trade interest: Nate Davis G, Khalil Herbert RB, and Dominique Robinson DE. Not sure who is looking at Robinson but with Jacob Martin coming off IR, someone will probably get cut.
  20. Yeah, if detroit figures the Bears to be involved, they probably wouldn't waste the time offering them their 2nd and start off with their 1st. To be honest, if they can fit him in cap wise, I'd go with our 1st. But, but, but... they have to still build a top oline. Since I see major needs at G/C, I could be fine losing the 1st rd pick for Maxx and addressing those in the 2nd.
  21. That thought is enticing, especially having the two 2nds. Would Detroit give a 1st? Right now our own 2nd is worth more than Detroits, so if the Bears are interested they can spend the own 2nd or force Detroit to use their 1st.
  22. One issue is they cannot sign a practice squad RB off another roster unless they pur him on the 53. They have to trade Herbert and then sign an active roster rb.
  23. Cam Robinson LT JAX- seems like a potential player who could be traded. I believe his contract is coming up and Jax could look to tear down and rebuild. They also drafted a LT high in 2023. Would Robinson be of any interest and would a 2nd Rd pick do it? I haven't looked in to his evaluations. Can Kiran, Braxton, or a 1st-2nd round pick in 2025 be better?
