Who had the best draft? Who had the worst?
Boston Boxer replied to defiantgiant's topic in Bearstalk
the Texans did a nice job drafting defense i thought. And as it has been said, the chiefs did a nice job for the second year in a row. -
Carats in the diamond on the ring: 5. I will go with the under on this Years the marriage lasts: 2. Way over. She is not a drama queen like the rest of those idiots on "the hills". Months until they announce a child is on the way: 25. I say over on this as well. She has a career and not ready yet Super Bowl rings he wins while they're still together: 0.5. I say under unless we fix the OLine
-
he is coming off back surgery. No thanks
-
would love to stick him at LT, sign Mankins, and draft another OLine high in the draft. That would make our OLine much better imo
-
saw that this morning...still a really bad way to go. This whole thing is just real sad
-
that is what i saw...gunshot to the chest. Does this sound really really strange to anyone else? Something was definitely wrong with him. I have never heard of comitting suicide by shotting yourself in the chest? I expect more to come on this
-
ruled a suicide...WTF?
-
i think part of the reason Mankins ended his season long hold out was he had an agreement with the Pats that if he came back, they would not use the tag on him next season. I think he will be available as a FA to the highest bidder

Wright needs to prove he can stay healthy. I dont think he has been that impressive...but still young.

Thoughts and commnets from Brian Urlacher.......
Boston Boxer replied to ParkerBear7's topic in Bearstalk
Urlacher is my favorite player in the NFL and has been ever since he was drafted. He is the leader of this team and if he says something, it should be noted and given serious cred. Obviously Cutler is a tough SOB...given the number of times he has been hit, he would have to be tough. I say if we get the OLine fixed and they can play with consistancy, Cutler will be an all pro QB. All he needs is a little time in the pocket, and he will get the job done. Url says he want Lovie extended. Well, i am one of the biggest Lovie Smith haters (as a coach...i dont know him personnaly), but is he winning because he is a good coach, or is he winning in spite of himself. You cant really argue with the success, so i guess he deserves to stay. Also i think replacing the coaching staff forces us to start over...i dont think we can afford to do that right now as we need to just tweak this team. -
the Martz offense is dependent on the OLine protecting the QB...to allow time for the WR to run their patterns. Obviously, our OLine sucks and until we fix that, then this offense will be nothing

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears, 1/23/11
Boston Boxer replied to balta1701-A's topic in Bearstalk
The Bears will win by at least 10 point tomorrow. Mark it down! -
Bears 38 Seahags 10

i could see the Bears and Pack play for a chance to go to the Bowl. Hopefully we dont regret the fact we could have put the Packer out of the players. It would be a bitch if they came back and beat us in the playoffs. In the AFC, we have two match ups that have teams playing each other for the third time this year (Pats v. Jets and Pitt v. Balt) Also, if we play Seattle next, there is no way they will beat us.
-
i think i predicted them 8-8 when we started, so i would say its a success...plus, with the OLine problems, i would say that since Cutler is still walking, it is a great year
-
Happy New Year to all!
-
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great win!
-
i really like Aromashodu. He made need another year before he really shows what he can do, but i think he is going to be a good WR. He was great at Auburn, and really hopes he continues to get better. on the other hand, i really dont care for Davis.

thanks Pix. yes, i was born and raised in Boston and lived there all my life until i joined the Air Force at age 22. I now live in Colorado Springs, still with the Air Force after 21 years. I am a Patriots fan, but as Pix pointed out, i have been a Bears fan for a vry long time and been posting on this forum as well as the Webmasters forum some time ago. I try to leave my Patriots bias out of this forum because it is were i can come a talks Bears football, but sometimes i cant bit my lip. all is good, i am not easily offended by anything and usually take the high road to maintain civility. Message boards are a good forum to express your views and aregue your points. its all good, and Happy Holidays. Bear Down!

if i knew your feelings were going to be hurt, i would not have posted it. It just seems a bit overplayed that some on this board maintain that the Pats are the only team in the history of the NFL that tried to get an edge on the opponent. They have the best front office and owner in the league...unlike us, who win despite our terrible front office and owner. It just gets a little old...but have at it
-
just an observation...whenever they cut to Lovie on the sidelines, i have never, EVER, seen him talk into the headset. I find it funny for some reason. I am sure he talks into it at some point during the game, but i have never seen it.
-
get over it already and quit yer bitching.
-
i say the same thing...i am so sick and tired of this Farve drama. End his career once and for all.first he is out, then all of a sudden he is starting...i smell something funny. He needs to go away. i have zero respect for him
-
obviously i did not know you had travel plans for the game...just commenting on the players complaining about playing outside. Nobody complain about having to play at Green Bay. Playing outside should benifit the Bears more than the indoor Minny team IMO

this is football...in the Black and Blue division. Play the @$&* game in the parking lot for all I care. Old time football players are rolling their eyes right now reading some of this garbage. I think football player nowadays are not as tough as they think they are. They talk the talk, but dont walk the walk. Who cares where the game is, as long as the Bears win.
