Agreed, but that just one more nail in the coffin. He already pushed himself into the late rounds with all of his crap, and the failed drug test is just icing on the top of the failure cake.
lol, Do you know how many people in the league smoke pot?
Anyway, he has a first round grade, so I would take a flier on him in the late rounds. I dont think he falls that far.
I'm going to try to get to that game too.
The last time I went was the Monday night game when the Bears staged the awesome comeback. I was coaching at a high school right by there, so I went after practice, got there at halftime. I was wearing a Hester jersey, and people were talking mad crap. My wife and I were just about to leave and then the awesomeness started happening. We got with some other Bears fans and talking some crap. hahahaha
Except for the difference in money, starting expectations, how much they need the ball, drama, etc. Its a lot less easy with TO, etc.
If you would have made the comparison to a Komar, Thomas, Weems, Sanz, etc, that is the same thing.
I agree with you about Burfict's talent. He got progressively worse from his freshman year on.
But it wouldn't bother me to burn a late round pick on him, even though I dont think he amount to anything.
You know who I would like even better with a late rounder? Omar Boldin. I dont know where he is projected to go.
lol, Yeah, who was it that told you your credibility was shot because Komar wasnt on your list of receivers? Silly...
I like Quick alot, I hope he will sneak to us in the mid rounds of the draft.
I wouldn't mind blowing a 6th or 7th rounder on Burfict. But the guy is one of the bigger pieces of sh*t I've seen in college football. He is lazy and entitled. His best year, talent wise, was his freshman year.
So who knows if he would change his ways in the pros. I would lean towards in never becoming anything, but who knows. Maybe the kid gets it figured out.
Yes, the Oline stats will be better just with the switch in OC's. I think I read the stat that 18 of Cutler 25 sacks last year were before Fartz got sent to the principals office and was forced to reel it in.
At this point, I will be surprised if D Line was not in the cards with the first pick.
The 3.5 mil was after the cb's were signed. I would think that any new signings would be potential replacements for current players, making their contracts a wash.
